Curiously, there's a common Italian expression, which is "Fa un Freddo Cane", which literally translates to "It's Dog Cold". This expression is used, as you'd expect when the climate is overly cold, though when you analyze it literally, it makes no sense. The fact that it would perfectly describe Ghaccio's ability yet would likely make the character angry if he heard that makes this whole idea hilarious in my head

FYI: Ghiaccio raging about La Squadra's pay wasn't just egotism; at the time Golden Wind was initially released, the Italian Lira was so hyperinflated that Italy gratefully accepted the Euro as the new standard. I did the math, and Ghiaccio was literally getting paid somewhere around $1350 per job (assuming La Squadra split their pay evenly) in a skilled, high-risk trade where employment is likely spotty at best. Assuming La Squadra pulled off an average of two jobs a month, his salary would come out to somewhere in the neighborhood of $35,000 (with some serious rounding, mind you). He could literally be making better money as a coolant technician working on some university's supercomputer.

@Truth Belmont It's actually a result of combination of doppio's and Diavolo's desires and fears. Diavolo hates his past and wants to erase it (but it's impossible to change the past so he just is able to erase actual time) and Doppio is traumatized by his past and subconsciously wants to forget it so he actively looks forward into the future. The result of that longing is Epitaph.

The Cirno theme in the background really topped it off.

Ghiaccio is definitely my favorite jojo's bizarre adventure character. Whether it be his short temper, his personality, and his stand that surprisingly, reflects his personally DESPITE ice normally being reserved for characters who are nice and reserved, or quote on quote: 'Chill', he will never cease to amaze me. This character is the epitome of my anger, frustration, and sarcasm all wrapped into one, which is why I relate to him on a biblical scale. I hope in the near future, la squadra gets an OVA or light novel, so that we can experience the glory of both ghiaccio and la squadra again.

I ended up imagining a joke in which ghiaccio and a random teammates are on their way to a job. But on the way ghiaccio just busts into a tangent and the other guy just trys to calm him down. And then he just tells him to chill with a smug grin. Only for ghiaccio to respond by freezing their mouth shut for the next 5 minutes.

@@co7769 it depends, the best way to actually determinate is you have autism is to take some diagnostic test from an actual psycologist, is better to have a profesional diagnostic than to take a random test on the internet; and it could not just be autism, sometimes it means you are in one spectrum of neurodivergency or just a different personality than the average, but there's not something bad about it, it just means you read social interactions a bit differently

To be honest what makes Ghiaccio great is that his unrelenting rage makes him even stronger. To the point he can total the shit out of the inside of his car and not feel it. Even if he was not a stand user he would be intimidating due to that alone.

2:04- yeah, the first impression that you get from his appearance is that he’s a long distance, cool headed thinker- while he is a thinker- he’s just a very passionate one with hyper-focus and is the two Stand Users whose direct ability allows him to fight much more directly than Stand Users have their creativity in order to do so.

I like how White Album's ability is ice, yet Ghiaccio has no chill.

You can try and convince me white album is an oni. But I know for a fact that Ghiaccio is a furry and cat is his fursona

I believe his hair is just stylish curles like if you look on Michelangelo's sculptures (Araki used them as reference if you remember). And I think his stand is a cat thing because with shape of glass on helmet his face become a cat face not to mention that in manga ears are got pink color and he's got tail. And he always posing like aggressive cat.

Finally , a video about Giacchio , now all La Squadra members have a video about them on this channel .

My personal headcannon is that wearable Stands are from a person feeling like they need to put up a front or a different personality. Like how Secco pretended to be an unintelligent, insane man, but in actuality was very intelligent and only acted that way to appease Ciocolatta. So in a way you make it sound like Ghiaccio feels the need to work himself up into a fervor or make himself overanalyze things, which fits into my theory nicely. I dunno, just thought it was interesting.

You’re actually not wrong looking at all the other wearable stand users. (Minor character spoilers for part 6 and 7) Rykiel was a very timid youth constantly wracked by infection and disease, but one he got his stand and began working for Pucci, he became obsessed with rising above, becoming like Apollo 11 and breaking boundaries. Hence when he fights Jolyne, he’s still the same person but he’s convincing himself to be braver. Blackmore and Catch the Rainbow: He acts like a simple and polite man but doesn’t hesitate to kill on Valentine’s orders. That’s about it, Sky High is pushing it but I allowed it since it is grafted to Rykiel’s wrist. I considered putting Ringo Roadagain on the list, but 1. I don’t really consider Mandom a wearable stand, it’s not exactly a bound stand either since it’s revealed that Ringo didn’t need his watch to activate his abilities. 2. Ringo isn’t really putting up a front, he really believes in the True Man’s World.

His "true man's world." philosophy being a way to deal with the tragedy rationalizing it that he can't go back and do anything to stop the home invader. As for Chocolate Disco it could represent his lack of personality since it functions in a very obvious way and doesn't have many tricks to pull. Could be showing that he keeps quiet because he doesn't have anything going on in his head. 20th Century Boy based on how repulsive Magent Magent is could stem from a very bad upbringing, in which he was bullied relentlessly. So, He just doesn't want *anything* to affect him. Also leans into how he looks up to future technology, he wants to get away from his past.

AVGN should have been the English voice of Ghiaccio, for old and new times sake.

Giorno can create a life form immune to the virus and use its blood to vaccinate himself. Illuso can trap the virus in the Mirror World.

@@succubastard1019 I would agree Man in the Mirror has an A for its stands quarantine stat but its quarantine durability stat is all up to how Illuso prepares for his stay in the mirror world. Pluse Illuso still needs to exit the mirror world for more supplies risking infection, so his quarantine durability stat would be around C to low B. On the other hand Polpo has one of the highest quarantine stats with at least a B to A, but he can remotely control Black Sabbath to get him more supplies if need be (ie Star Platinum and Jotaro Kujo in Part 3). So for me, Polpo would be placed in S tier slightly above Illuso who is also in S teir. But that's just a theory... a JoJo theory. Thanks for reading.

I've always loved Ghiaccio's character since he was introduced, just a amazing almost unstoppable stand as well as an interesting personality

Personally I imagined Mandark from Dexter’s Laboratory being Ghiaccio’s English voice when I first read Vento Aureo.

What makes me like and adore Ghiaccio and how he becomes memorable is because I relate to him in a personal way. So technically, I "kin" him now. It's just that I find his need to rant over small things or things that make no sense amuses me because I could see myself in him, except I have the need to make paragraphs or essays over something as small but intriguing. He's also quite egotistical/prideful, whichever you prefer. And I do admit that I am as well but I just don't frequently show it because I might rub my pride in the wrong way. What I adore most is his planning, of course when you're given an ability, you'll have to discover the pros and at the same time, cons pop up as well. If it all goes wrong without a back-up plan, then you're basically dead meat. Generally when I found out about Ghiaccio, all it took me to figure out his personality was a simplified: "Angry Italian Elsa" but the more I found out about him the more he drew me in.

Is no one gonna talk about how strong ghiaccio is? No seriously guy dented a metal car using his bare fists and left several dents on a moving van along with shattering an entire statue with one swing all using his bare hands no fighting stand just a suit.

Well Melone decides to ask me “Hey dude are you into fitness?” And I say say yeah bro I’m into fitness why? And then he replies “Fitness whole wiener in your mouth haha” *I SAID “ WHY WOULD YOU ASK ME THAT!?!!?!*

If they didn't have that EXACT turn of events, ghiaccio could've killed both mista and giorno he came closest besides melone. He might even be able to beat ultimate kars

On thing I thought about with Ghiaccio he’s like a reverse refrigerator. At least how I understand how refrigerators work. How I understand fridges work they move heat energy out of its insides and cools its inside. Now the reverse is that he takes in the heat and cools the outside. It’s a little theory to help explain his hot headed nature.

Like you said, this is also one of my favourite fights, mainly because White Album poses a legit threat to Giorno as nothing he transmutes can survive anywhere near it. Though, poor Mista gets the short end of the stick yet again. I bet if he faced an opponent whose stand could toast bread, it would still inexplicably have the ability to reflect bullets, too.

Ghiaccio lost because the *only* weakpoint in his armor landed on a random ass spike. In other words, Fate favored Giorno. Which is to say, he should have won.

It really helps that his characters Japanese voice actor also bakugo

I really love Ghiaccio as a character, his strength of confidence and analysis is his downfall as well. I really would have loved a better tangent like the "hell or high water" instead of "out of the box". I really would have found it funny if he ranted about "getting your goat" or another in English but it wouldn't make sense in the scene it would have been in.

I remember watching Giacchio’s rant with janky subtitles at some point that made the phrase “digging up dirt” the source of his frustration. This was actually really close to the original Japanese version, and works surprisingly well (“WHY WOULD YOU DIG UP DIRT? ALL YOU’RE GONNA FIND IS MORE DIRT!”). Arguably my favorite English translation of the scene.

Doesn’t Snowflake just throw ice shurikens and nothing else? Also Safe-Space has a unique ability which can seem useful if he can attach it to people and didn’t sound so stupid

Y'know, I just realized something about Ghiaccio, the way he thinks is really similar to people with ADHD or those who are on the autism spectrum, the way he makes connections to things that seem unconnected when looked at through a broader lense, gets really specific about certain things, quick to anger when faced with stress It's interesting to me
