    An essential tool for any pro, including anyone in a covers/dance/wedding/function/club/bar band. To be avoided for any session musician (time is money as they hunt for sounds/adjust things), and not so useful for the hobbyist (though 'cool' to have).

    Nice job and u saved me astronomical amount of money , co’s now I know definitely it would be much easier to fly to mars than operating this.🥴🤯

    I wish Gigrig would have added the Volume pedal Loop insert that is on the G3 that is on the G2. If they would have done that, I would buy it. YO Danial, Please add that on the next model !

    Nice intro video on the G3 - thanks. You said it was going to be the 1st video in a" mega series focusing on the G3 controller ... all the incredible things it can do." Any plans for when the next video will be coming out? (We're trying to decide b/w the Musicomlab EFX-MK-VI and the G3. Trying to justify spending 2x on the G3... Thanks!

    great video! my biggest gripes at this point are 1) we lost the Fx/Volume loop, 2) we lost the subtractive feature of the stomp box mode 3) the bank change mechanism/button is really awkward (want a bank down button). It is a fan-tas-tic unit but with just a few upgrades to the software it could knock it even more out of the park.

    There is one more loop on G3, so it is not a huge loss. The stomp mode and banking is a bigger loss. Hopefully they will straighten them out with an update.

    Great player!!! Question: If my Preset 1 in Bank 1 has a Delay from the Strymon Timeline and I would like to copy the whole preset (means the G3 settings of Loops, Gains AND the Strymon Delay from this preset) to Preset 1 in Bank 2, is there a simple copy function or do I have to set all parameters (gains, which loops active, etc.) manually on the new preset? Thanks for your help.

    Nope you can simply copy and paste the whole preset to the next bank. Will copy all gains, loop orders and midi information! You can also copy and paste an entire bank, say you have a “basic” bank with your core sounds but want to make slight tweaks for a different gig, copy and paste the whole bank and make your edits from there. Job done!

    Hi Phil, when you say "six stereo pedals" at 03:00, do you mean six stereo LOOPS, each of which can be chained with a number of other pedals? Great vid (you mastered this stuff, appreciate the depth and succinctness), just would love to be clear on this. Thanks! Brett

    Hey Bret! Yes that’s correct - sorry for not being clearer! You can have up to six stereo loops or up to 12 mono loops and any combination you desire. For example you could pair 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and use 6 stereo pedals, but you run out of loops. Or you could pair 9-10 and 11-12 for a stereo reverb and stereo delay pedal (which is probably the most common way of using it) and loops 1-8 would all be mono for 8 individual pedals. I also forgot to mention that you can now enable trails on any loop, so you could have more than two reverb/delays and achieve spill over, unlike on G2 where we were limited to loops 9 and 10 for spill over. Hope that makes sense! Let me know if there’s a follow up question!

    @@PhilShortGuitarist does make sense, and for the record, i misunderstood you, you were perfectly clear. it IS limited to 6 stereo pedals, not six multi-stereo-pedal loops. would you say the g3 is the best there is out there in switchers or does the G3 have stiff competition?

    @@avantgardenovelist I personally think it’s the best on the market, especially regarding tone. I’ve tried Boss ES8, great functionality but it coloured the tone noticeably. G3 is literally invisible in that regard, you can’t “hear” or “feel” that it’s there and in the way. As another viewer pointed out, You don’t have the subtract feature with stompbox mode like you did with G2, but the overall flexibility and functionality of G3 is vastly superior, especially regarding midi control, backing up your G3s brain to the cloud, and the ability to re-order you banks like a set list is just a game changer. It basically has the same level of functionality as digital modellers in terms of changing the order of banks, spill over, parallel, and changing the loop order for different stacking combinations. It’s pretty awesome!

    @@PhilShortGuitarist thanks, really appreciate it man. last question, i promise: do you think preceding a six-stereo-pedal-loaded g3 with a 5 (= 2-2-1)-mono-pedal-loaded tri-parallel mixer will have negative consequences (other than being in need of some serious buffering)? I know Dan made the loop extender to increase the loops using the G3, but I'm already set up with a Chase-Bliss-based Tri-Parallel Mixer set up and wouldn't want to go with exclusive G3 + loop-extender setup if I don't have to.

    @@avantgardenovelist honestly I don’t know cause I’m not familiar with that type of device you’ve described. But if what you basically want to do is add extra loops to the start of the G3, the GigRig guys have thought of that. You can add extra loops using their product called remote loopy 2, and they can be activated by the Remote switches on the G3, so I *think* (but you’d need to check) you can add an additional 4 mono loops to the start of the G3. The gig Rig also provide a buffer which is small and very good, but the internal buffer in the G3 will more than suffice!

    Love this. But for the 99 banks to be of any real use you need digital coloured scribble strips. 2023 now. Sticking labels should be out the window
