you got to minmax if you play a death build any lower than 150, or go 200. the invasions are much easier in ER than every other Souls game. in fact invasions have gotten progressively easier each souls iteration.

As a new souls player, i dont know what minmax means xD However i can see your point. Invasions can be easy for newer players if you know what youre doing. You can grab st. Trinas sword in caelid as a prisoner, level up a few times and start invading at low level with a sword thats OP (except a video with that build soon). As it is easy to be an invader, its even easier to combat invaders as a co-oper. The abundance of weaponry, magic, and equipment this game gives really changes the dynamic of invading based off of what I’ve seen in the past souls games

You've got to be joking If you seriously think invasions got easier with time. As a seasoned invader who has invaded in every souls game from DeS (PS3) to ER that's blatantly wrong lol. Invaders have been nerfed with each game.

@@adamiadamiadami you're kidding me my friend. in DS getting access to invasion required killing 4 kings. For anyone wanting to invade at SL10 to SL20 required a significant skill check and appreciation of the game. By DS3 they essentially removed accessibility to become an invader. Anyone could invade. This accessibility trend in their games has made multiplayer and invading deflationary on player skill. Right now in ER there isn't anywhere near the gank squads which existed by the back end of DS3. Each iteration of the Souls game From tries to 'nerf' invaders for this exact reason that it's gotten easier and easier to be an invader. Even a casul invader who has the flimsiest of builds can has a 50/50 shot of winning an invasion against multiple people. I get the point you're leading to but if you've invaded as much as you say you have then nothing in ER would be as challenging as what we have seen in DS, DS3, or let alone BB.

I love making specialized builds that WORK. All my builds have a "setup" so on your top bar, it goes main weapon, endure dagger, then staff. I made a necromancer and tried the same thing, similar weapons, same theme. To get the Ghostflame explosion off, just switch+l2, then switch again and r1. A staff in your left hand and a staff in your third slot means you can double weild staffs before the explosion. Pick whichever staffs you want and go to town. Also, deathpokers stick or whatever is SO good to get offensive teams off you, love the necro build!! Also also, rosus axe is also a v v good switch weapon. Nobody expects it and if you get staggered, the skeletons don't. SOO good as a "get off me" option.

Brother I hate to tell u this but ps4 version on ps5 is the best way to invade it hade better connection and locked 60 fps. And if u use a regular glintstone staff with this build u will be doing more damage a lot more damage.

You could just run a small dagger with Endure on it so you can use it before casting Explosive Ghostflame. Might help with the lack of hyperarmor on some spells. Otherwise pretty fun build.

no fia's mist? It combines well with heavy poise or knockdown/stagger attacks.

As someone who also plays this game a lot 2000 hours, mostly arena some coop and invasions. You seem fine mechanically. Some things you might not know if you’re not a nerd like me. Nearly all dmg negations are nerfed in pvp interactions in this video greatshield tali is 25% effective (you could swap this for anything else honestly) while barrier of gold is around 50%. Bfp is surprisingly untouched. Since you know who g9 and steel are I’m guessing you listen to their opinions or even opinions of their chat/disc/community. I used to as well until I started ignoring them and found that I still enjoyed the game and didn’t need constant negativity about what I enjoyed. Just because something is imbalanced doesn’t mean it’s not fun. If balance=fun then checkers would be the biggest sporting event in the world. Most of the complaints I hear from them are usually extremely outlandish and would make the game boring. I stuck around ds3 right up until they closed the servers 6 years after release and all I can say is be happy you can connect to other players as someone who used to wait 30-45 min for an invasion when area died. Appreciate what you have and don’t let the haters in.

Yeah, its pretty awful. You spend the time getting your build all set up and then you have to menu mash your between your two fingers to get one invasion every ten minutes if you are lucky. Seamless mod + no solo invasions really killed the active player pool for this game. I got into this game late and I saw all these content creators still doing invasions and thought "oh looks like the community is still active" little did I know is that almost all of them are playing on console. Not to mention that it also killed random coop another reason that I enjoy playing these games, shit sucks. Guess I should have just got a PS5.

yeah i wish there was a forewarning about what the PC community is like before i started invading. i was very late on the invasion train. so im just riding with what i have now. and im sure once DLC drops, things will be alright (minus latency) for a little bit.
