This is my 3rd season on a stock 6'6", I have had plenty of time to get bored with it, but it still continues to impress. We just had a great run of hurricane swell. I have a few different step ups boards to ride, but they are gathering dust, and will be sold to get a new Ghost next season. Great paddle power, Large sweet spot, Forgiving, chops or back wash, knifes right through, never twitchy. Carving.? yes it does that. Perfect amount of tail rocker for tight turns in the pocket. Fast, this thing has incredible high line acceleration. The last surf I had on a firing down the line point break, 2 friends apologized to me on my way back out, for chandlering my wave because they thought I was not going to make it. They were 50 yards away.

I’ve used my ghost 3 sessions and here’s what I noticed. Everything he is describing is spot on. I’ll add that you can get away with less volume, or rather less volume feels like more when paddling, because the foam is under your chest. This board works really well despite having such an extreme design compared to my other boards. I love it. The best board I’ve risen hands down. It works great in everything but tiny grovel. Also I could push as hard as I want on the bottom turn.

Makes sense- The hidden volume is the ghost part of the board. Genius!

I love your boards I’m only 13 but what is the smallest hat I can find this board? I’m looking about 5,5 - 5,7 sought of size or pretty close to that. If you have shaped them over the past years where could I find one ?

not similar at all, this is a high performance bigger wave board while the hypto is mainly a small wave board

@@waxcomb Jamie O’Brien catches the most insane bombs at Pipe on an 8 foot foamie! Doesn’t mean it’s a high performance board. That being said the hypto is meant to be a one board quiver and can somewhat handle bigger waves, although I wouldn’t take it out much over 8 feet and a ghost can hang well into the 12-15 foot range

--Online shoppers beware.newbie surfers too-- commenting because I found some major materials faults in a pyzel board and they are not worth buying... After taking apart a snapped pyzel board I found multiple materials reasons to avoid them... What happened was yesterday I found the nose half to a new pyzel short board and while stripping off the fibreglass the whole left side of the foam blank has dislodged on its own from the stringer (which is the wooden bit in the middle of the board). Me thinking that it was odd to see a (blank) disintegration of this proportion I further investigated 🧐and what I also😊 found was very shocking too. What I also found was that the stringer which usually provided strength to boards was instead made of something other than the usually hard rigid ply wood and there was a soft black oil based, (smelt it) material the consistency of paper mashay as a (wood) substitute. Yes you read correctly...a soft paper mashay board strengthener (stringer) made out of something oil based (plastic mashay??). And yes... I recently made a paper mashay pot for a pot-plant so I have an idea of what I am going on. So online shoppers beware of the pyzel boards (blanks) with the black stringers. They are a bit of joke and will not last long. For newbies don't dare pick one up for yourself and tell everyone that you know that I said they are a joke.😊 Boards need to be strong not flexible. Having flexibility is a bit of a new one in the surfboard marketing game and I see through the stringerless (they crease) thing but paper mashay wow maybe hopefully time to look at other ways to feed off of the bottom of the pyramid.😅
