The Genius of Britain Episode 1 (Part 4/5)
Ғылым және технология
"We may only be a small island, but Britain's great scientists and inventors have literally created the modern world, from the invention of the steam engine, computers and the world-wide web, to the discovery of the theory of evolution and the atom. In a new five-part series some of Britain's leading scientific figures tell the stories of the people behind these innovations. The first programme begins 350 years ago when a small group of friends, colleagues and rivals defied everything that was known about the world at that time. Stephen Hawking and Jim Al-Khalili explain how Isaac Newton saw mathematics at the root of everything, from gravity to light."

Brilliant series. As a Brit living abroad I really appreciate having the chance to see these great BBC series that French TV is too stupid to re-broadcast! Many, many thanks to you Atheistplanet!
Isaac Newton, to me was quite simply the most brilliant mind to walk this Earth. This man was a freak, even now I get goosebumps when I read his biography or read articles about him. How can anyone be such smart? Sir Isaac Newton, you are my idol. You are a giant amongst all other greats. Truly remarkable one you were!

What about albert einstein
Just to joke, the first time I have seen this video I have been calling both Mr. Richard Ricard and Mr Stephen Hawking my friends, mu professor of science and English, in 2012. A special thinks to Mr. Jim Al Kalil great scientist . The Theory of Everything!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you , indeed ! Alberto
great post! Stephen Hawking is not only an amazing scientist but it cool how he did the backing vocals for Limp Bizkit's - behind blue eyes!
Its not Hawkins who is smart, its his speaking machine, it became self aware. Hawkins just takes the credit for the machine that does all the thinking.

@FIGHTFANNERD3 Lol
Haha :D. That comment is a year old btw.
Hahahahahahaha. Oh my (non-existent) god. Why so irate, my good man?
This series is great, except for Hawking's vacuous introductions and transitional commets. Just useless fluff and a time waster. Everyone else does a magnificent job. Hawking is a brilliant man, and he overcame a lot of adversity... maybe that is why they didn't edit him out. A shame... they should have.
