I’m a gay conservative, there are plenty of us; the CCP is a big tent party and many of us feel our sexual orientation does not have to be the foremost aspect of our identity. Rule of law, economic freedom, freedom of speech: these are the things that protect us all and underpin all of our rights. There’s only one party in Canada that has (twice) suspended the constitution, and both times were led by a Trudeau.

I'm a gay conservative too. I'm just a guy who happens to be gay; it has zero to do with my political beliefs, with my opinions on the economy, immigration, taxes, etc. I just want to be left alone, I don't care nor support "pride." True equality is achieved once society has reached indifference, rather a ridiculous obsession, over one's sexuality.

I dont know what to do with this information. As long as their politics are conservative, and the Canadian flag is raised high, I couldn't care less what they do in their private lives. It's their burden to bear. I just want them to do their jobs with integrity.

Why is it a burden? Let me correct this. We welcome gay conservatives with open arms and open hearts! Why would you assume a gay conservative person wouldn't raise that flag high in the sky as someone who is straight. Homosexuality does not drive their convictions, their morality does, hence why they are Conservative conservatives as opposed to Liberal liberals, who tout their gay alliance only to score virtue points. Hell, one of, if not the most, potent conservative speakers today is the homosexual Brit Douglas Murray. Gay conservatives have always been a big thing, they just never said so. Just as well, as a gay/black conservative is anathema to the radical left.

First, modern liberalism, opposed to classical liberalism, is not about equality. Tell me, has there been a dangerous euphoric that has been legalized due to prevalence in the hetero demographic? School field trips to an adult club okay as long as it's lgb focused? Equality is purposely being conflated, so criticism against one aspect is seen as an attack on all of it. Against the drugs? They must be an anti-gay marriage bigot. Secondly, too much catering to identify politics is exploitive and ironically divisive. Politicians have a growing perception of reducing everyone's rights, such as overstepping in surveillance, but these criticisms are brushed away as the same politicians cater to specific demographics.
