  Harper never got to 40% of the vote either. Some ideas: 1) Scale each MP’s vote weight to their constituent pop, not 1 for all. 2) Instant run offs or ranked ballots within ridings. 3) Treat the cabinet as a draft. Unless you got all the votes, you don’t appoint all the ministers.

  Israel's respect for the families of these victims in not releasing this footage of the hostages widely and immediately has probably done them considerable damage in the public opinion. Hopefully as more people see the reality of what happened that day, they will understand more why Hamas can no longer continue to rule in gaza. Im sure this horrible behavior is common to the gazan civilians as well. Atrocious.
