THE GATEWAY TO BALABAC - Friendliest Port In The Philippines? (Southern Palawan)
THIS COULD BE THE FRIENDLIEST PORT IN THE PHILIPPINES! Way down south of Palawan you will find Buliluyan Port, the gateway to Balabac Island!
It was so chilled driving down the coast of Rizal. Our first random stop found us exploring a massive coastal beach. But this giant beach was full of dried fish! They were literally everywhere! Clearly a big industry in this part of Palawan. After exploring the coast, we make our way across to Bataraza and find ourselves stopping for a snack in the mining barangay of Rio Tuba.
After a quick bite to eat, we drive all the way to the south, and start looking for a boat to Balabac. With nothing available during the day, we crash at a local resort called "Sun Seas Beach Resort". The staff were great, and the vibes all around the port area were wonderful. I enjoyed chatting with the locals, and scoring some fresh fish to eat for dinner.
This really is a rural area of Palawan...

Great video. Rio Tuba mining company have contributed a lot to the local infrastructure but have destroyed the flora and fauna. It even impacts heavily on the fishing in the area, many fishermen have had to move up the coast to Brookes Point and even Nara to find fish. I'm looking forward to the Balabac trip, I haven't been there yet, but hope to go later this year.
Backstreets alleys…not so touristy areas…nature trips…your interactions with the “locals” are EPIC Kulas!

PaLawan is rich in coraLs. That is why the dust and dirt soLes of the shoes is orange in coLor due to coraL rock. EnjÖy and have fün in PaLawan. The best province I have been. Thumbs up 👍

They had a giant tree that the trunk that it is brownish white 🌳🟤🟤🟤⚪⚪⚪ Same in California that they had those giant pine trees 🌳🌳🌳🌲🌲🌲 And they had a dried fish in Palawan same in Pangasinan and Daanbantayan in Northern Cebu 🐟🐟🐟 You and Kumar ordered some pork and a chicken sandwich with cheese 🥪🍗🧀🍖 You had a water that has lemon on it 💦💧🥤🍋 And they had an ube maja which is a milk pudding that it is flavored with purple yam 🥛🍠🟣🟣🟣' And it has corn bits on it 🥛🍠🌽🟣🟣🟣 And you had a bug net on the hut 🛖 And a classic bathroom with a toilet bowl that has no flush 🚽 And you are in the jungle like Tarzan 🌳🌳🌳 And you went in the lighthouse. And it Palawan more than a half a century ago they had mining on nickel.

been there 2017 or 2018, that month no tourist allowed but we push through like a military ops, many virgin islands, soft sand and many niknik haha
Person sleeping in the tourism office is going to see this and realize they missed their big chance. Maybe next time.
