CGI hasn't gotten better, it has gotten easier

"...Now _this_ I can do." Just, hours of being in an unfamiliar place where he doesn't know any of the rules, and only survived due to a specific Program's hard-coded directive to never harm a User (how awkward would it have been if he _hadn't_ bled and had it noticed in time?)... and then he finally encounters a scenario where he _does_ finally recognize something about the world and how to "play the game".

I don't think it was "ahead of its time". i just managed to slip through the cracks of bureaucratic oversight that usually waters these types of movies down into a generic, unintelligible, typical Disney mess.

TRON: Legacy is just a visual & a musical ecstasy. It's like a beautiful looking game in a movie form. So good. The special effects are fantastic and the soundtrack and composing by Daft Punk is pretty epic as well. Fits the film perfectly. Actors and actresses were phenomenal. Story was touching. Everything a good solid sequel needs. Joseph Kosinski did amazing the style is unmatched. You are fully entertained for 2 hours and 5 minutes.

What a movie!, A timeless masterpiece. I watched it again with my nieces and they were suprised it was a movie from 10 years ago. They are now playing Evolution

You can tell this scene was filmed in IMAX, just by the optics alone.

It actually wasn’t, they used the same cameras that they used for the rest of the film, but they shot some sequences in open matte with IMAX in mind

Man I still absolutely adore the lightcycle designs in this movie

Saw this in the theatre and was blown away by the visuals and soundtrack. So massively underrated. Sequel with sound by Martin Gore please!!!

Fine ass Garrett Hedlund + Daft masterful score + sci-fi = perfection

This was such a good era for movies, I remember seeing this like a half dozen times in Imax when it first came out.

It's a shame that Daft Punk won't be creating the soundtrack for Tron: Ares.

Me too, I also grew up with the original. I watched this one in the theater but it was the 3-D version and I had a huge headache when I came out. Now going back to it, I realize how much the soundtrack speaks to me as well as the artistic vision.

There was one. A ps3(xbox 360?) And a psp one. The ps3 had great multiplayer, although I'm sure the graphics wouldn't match up to my memory. The psp was also pretty good. Felt kinda like the ben10 game.

Compared to the lo-res original movie in 1982, all the sequels look like security footage from a nightclub.

My favorite scene and track in the movie. Well, I'll also include Derezzed, Arena, the ending credit's theme, And just to satisfy everyone with my choice so they don't give me a debatable demanding time about it like before, End of Line.

Tron: Ares is coming, but I worry how good it will be without the genius music of Daft Punk. The Music was a character of the movie on its own.

That floor, and those tires, look like they would have zero traction, more slippery than an ice rink.

The script and acting might´ve been trite, but when it comes to soundtrack and visual effects, this movie was a huge accomplishment for Disney in 2010, they were way ahead of its time. What they could do now with all the technological advances cinema has had, surely would get them an Academy Award for VFX

This was back when Disney still made good stuff pretty consistently. Current disney just can't be trusted. Imagine, Joseph Kosinski just directed Top Gun Maverick and they're shunning him? Not bringing back the cast from before, not doing something interesting with Cillian Murphy?? casting JARED LETO??? The director for Dead Man Tell No Tales and Maleficent??? Disney just takes L after L now, completely different company

3:07 do you know what I hope to see in tron ares? there was a video of the filming where sombody on a motorcycle is being chased by two red lightcycels on the highway and the police is present in the scene. I hope that will happend. the police car request the the the three bikes to stop. the two programs, extrem annoyed of this, activate their light walls and make this police car a little more compact.
