I am not completely sure; but when aircraft reach 768mph they go “super sonic”. That is when the mist/smoke emanates across an aircraft!

Скажу на счёт фильма...Хороший продукт пропаганды Голливуда!Создаёт у зрителей эффект иллюзии непобедимости США... На самом деле в фильме показаны ракеты советских времён,которые давным-давно не стоят на вооружении. В реальности из 4х самолётов Сша было бы сбито 2 как минимум и это пессимистичный прогноз.Сцена с Су-57 просто не реальна,в реале русский самолёт на порядок превосходит тактико-технические характеристики и маневренность американских самолётов и думаю пилоты Сша ни разу не воевавшие с русскими в небе(за исключением 1945 года, когда были провокации со стороны пилотов США и в Северной Корее),были бы неприятно удивлены умением и пилотированием русских асов!И скорее всего Су-57 два в два вынесли бы американцев легко и непринужденно! Учитывая что этот бой выдуман полностью можно поставить 5 американцам,в реальном бою я бы не поставил на них и цента!

This is very true. The F-14 Tomcat is an aircraft that was built for a different time. I find it highly unlikely that both SU-57’s would have flown up to Maverick the way they did. It would be much more likely that one would have stayed further away out of visual range. As soon as Tom Cruise made his attack, he would have been blown out of the sky by the other SU-57 from a safe distance. Even further on they encounter another SU-57 over the ocean. They most likely would not have even been able to detect that aircraft and would have been shot down with out even realizing that there was a third SU-57 Cool movie but definitely some plot holes

I agree. Many new 5 gen platforms have extraordinary dogfighting maneuvers that make this engagement nearly impossible. Using modern tactics of aviation, technology, and doctrine; this scene would never even happen in the real world. Su57 beats Tom cruise every time, especially when there was three!
