The Galway Shawl performed by Dervish at Celtic Connections 2020
We had such a great night at Celtic Connections in Glasgow last week. Great guests like Abigail Washburn and Bela Fleck, Heidi Talbot and Brian Kennedy. But what really made it memorable was the wonderful audience in the concert hall on the night! Thank you all!!

I was there that night, it was wonderful, but who would have guessed the world would have changed so much in 8 months! Being together like this, so naturally, just isn't on the horizon any more! How sad

Mesmerising..love Dervish..often heard them in Sligo in 98 and 99 when they came home from touring.
I just caught Dervish, Four Men and a Dog and Altan at Tradfest in Dublin at the end of Jan. ‘22. They played this and it brought tears. Sublime!

Back here in the states, Oregon to be precise, I have been holding tickets to an Altan show that has been postponed for 2 years. Hopefully this November it will take place. Tonight is Dervish! 🎶🎶
I was listening to "The King's Shilling" and happened on the Niamh McElduff/ Jack Warnock rendition of this song. Wow! So I kept finding other versions. It does bring tear to an old man's eyes.

Watched Dervish play this on Eddi Reader's Great Big Burns Supper tonight and it reminded me of the fabulous night we had in Glasgow Royal ConCert Hall in 2020. We were in row 2 and had a braw night. Slàinte Mhath
