I love how whenever galloway mentioned the crimes Israel committed, and then they say he supports "hezobollah" or that Gaza is not a prison camp... Sorry have you never been to Gaza? just experience a week as a palestinian in the West bank and see what happens

His name is Freedland and he said this in a Guardian article on 12 January 2024: "And anger at Benjamin Netanyahu, leader of the worst, most extreme government in Israel’s history. For imposing a siege that starved Gaza of humanitarian essentials and which, in Walzer’s words, “could only hurt the civilian population, it could not hurt Hamas”. And for engaging in, and indulging others’ use of, vile rhetoric that might have garnered a few admiring clicks on the Israeli right but could see Israel and Jews around the world slapped with a new badge of shame." Perhaps you don't need to imagine now.

George Galloway stood his ground perfectly. He bore no responsibility for the rise of antisemitism at the time. All he's ever done is legitimately criticize the repressive actions of the state of Israel toward the Palestinian people. When he stated Israel is an apartheid state, he told the truth. Amnesty International, an entirely independent organization, published a report in which it stated Israel practices apartheid. He's absolutely right to call out the Islamophobia that has run rampant in the West ever since 9/11, and of which there's far more than antisemitism; however, neither can be tolerated and are both hate crimes. He's also drawn a very important distinction between the state of Israel and Judaism. One is a state and the other is a religion. Israel and Judaism have never been one and the same.

Incredibly ignorant and rude Jewish members of the audience baying at George. Quite distasteful and woeful behaviour. George handles it all with his usual aplomb.

It's not a phobia to criticize of religion

Is it me, or was Question Time far more thought provoking & 'theatrical' when Dimbleby was Chairman ? (It certainly was when Robin Day was in the chair !) ~ The existing format with Fiona Bruce is now a largely predictable 'bore fest' & stereotypical of the direction in which the BBC have taken such broadcast's.

Nothing much has changed in 9 yrs , just more hate

Wherever we stand on this issue or any other, surely we can all agree that Christina Odone adds nothing of interest to any conversation
