@phorz85 mentioned this in another comment. Leonia Tavira had a pirate gang called the Invids so the Invidious wasn't privately owned, and the ship was stolen property while the Errant Venture on the other hand was legally obtained.

@@Manda-LORE in the question if a thing is privately owned, it doesn't matter if it was legally obtained. Also it wasn't stolen but payment for a deal she made. Her piratgang isn't a public entity like a gouvernment which already makes it privately owned, they also didn't try to build their own war lord territory. She figured out the deal, played her cards right n as long as her is captain it is her's. Even if u wabnna make the point that the gang owns it - It's still all privateers. U could draw the compairson to corporait properties. Eventho' a ceo isn't himself the owner of his hq's building, it still is private property. Her ship didn't belong to the new republic, remnant, pentastar or any other navy fleet that fought for a gouvernment of any kind. All her support to their battles was given as part of her effort to get n secure the ship n to get it repaired as much as possible before getting out. Also the errant venture was not at all obtained any less fishy. While the previous owner there was the same who comandeered it n it was no captain in between who still had to b conquert, the whole party it was submitted to were officially nomads. Rogue's whole campaign in the bacta war was done without a legal status of any side, total piracy. The only reason it was accepted n they got reintegrated was their success n without kracken doing some intelligence network magic it is very doubtful that booster could've kept the vessel. Neither of 'em both ever got the ship by a "proper" transaction cuz such simply weren't offered, ever.

I coulda sworn that the Venture had a full 60/60 battery arsenal after the Hand of Thrawn Duology.

Utterly, utterly based, Recreational McStar Destroyer.

As a real life maritime ship nerd, I like the idea of privately owned imperial warships. I think Star Wars could have done much more with this idea. After WW2, many military ships that were no longer needed and therefore cheap, ended up being converted into ocean liners and cruise ships. Granted, those weren't battle ships but rather troop and cargo transports, but I think it would have been cool if we saw more of that in Star Wars. I think old Acclamators would make eccelent passenger ships. I think some Acclamators were used as slave ships during the Empire, so that's a departure from their original purpose. While it doesn't fit the Empire to sell their military ships to the public, I think it would make sense in the New Republic. Acclamators don't really fit New Republic military doctrine, so I think the idea that it stripped remaining Acclamators of their guns and sold them to private shipping companies makes sense. I'd love to see EC Henry's take on some private Acclamators in various roles and with custom paint schemes.

I remember finding a star wars roleplaying website where someone had a star destroyer with worshyrr plating. I love the old money and wood grain look so I thought up an eclipse class super star destroyer casino. It’s outer hull would be ethically sourced worshyrr wood. Most hallways and rooms left untouched except the ones the captain and the passengers use. Those would be decadent and capture the aesthetic of old money / exotic wild game hunter.

There's something I find interesting about military starships ending up as civilian crafts. The only other ship I can think of like the Errant Venture is the Class VI bulk freighter, essentially a stripped down a Praetorian-class frigate.

I always viewed the Errant Venture as the unintentional successor of the Chu'unthor, as a Jedi enclave in space.

If you would like to see 9ft version made out of lego got to HHH Brick Depot in Cincinnati. It took me 2 years to build it :-) Great video

I remember finding out about this in the Legacy of the Force book when Ol'Booster took a huge number of senators and even Daala's head of staff for a long Sabacc tournament, kidnapping them with most not even knowing it.

Ah, but it wasn't the first or the only privately owned Imperial Star Destroyer! Andal Sait went rogue with his Star Destroyer 'Blackguard' in 1 ABY before being hunted down in the same year. Slave turned Moff turned Admiral turned Pirate Queen Leonia Tavira had her Imperial Mk II Star Destroyer, the Invidious that she used for her own benefit as a renegade pirate queen.

I haven't heard of the Blackguard until now. Invidious I would say doesn't count because it was technically part of an organization, the Invids. Same goes for Crimson Jack's star destroyer and Kybo Rhen's gladiator class. All owned by pirate bands.

@@Manda-LORE Blackguard was pretty obscure, it was from Galaxies and RPG material back in the mid 2000s so it's easy to overlook, only found out about it myself due to Thrawns Revenge mod about two years ago. That's a fair point on Invidious, though the Invids formed around the Invidious rather than the other way around, kind of like Booster's smuggler ring operations picked up after he got the Venture.

@@DIEGhostfish Actually that's not 'technically' accurate. Tavira got the Invidious from the Teradoc brothers faction, the Federated Teradoc Union, which, while a Warlord state, was a government from 4 ABY until 13 ABY. But considering it was a rogue state not recognized by the Empire or New Republic, your statement is also true, from a certain point of view.

if possible do transmissions of Vehicle manufacturers. if i recall Incom also had a company that supplied the empire transport ships.

I probably won't do a video of all vehicle manufacturers since that would be a huge video but I've had it in mind to do a few videos focusing on specific manufacturers and tech companies like Sienar, KDY and Blastech

its probably your sound system, if you cant afford better speakers/headphones, id recommend trying to adjust the frequencies with an equalizer to prevent peaking.
