@@OblitusTerra Yes and no. Most of the time, rebels fizzle out when they get older and lazier, not when their problem is resolved. They also tend to exaggerrate and get hysterical to the point where it's about their contentness and not the original problem, i.e. they want things to change in a way they envisioned, not change in general, which typically causes new problems down the line.

"Lex iniusta non est lex", or an unjust law is no law at all, which is either by Augustine of Hippo or by Thomas Aquinas, sources can't seem to agree on which. There's a lot of quotes about willfully disobeying unjust laws. And all of them are needed. Because laws do not equal morality inherently.

Even if that happened, perhaps Joel wouldn't want to take the deal. Some people just want to avoid corporations and handing over their creative control as best they can. Some creators like to remain independent, and I feel that Haver would be one of those people.

@@BFBrix He explicitly said he wouldn't take the deal. His comment on it was pretty funny. Basically "people are watching my videos and enjoying the free content on youtube and asking why won't it get locked away on a cable network behind paywall?".

I like this emperor. Rebels could just talk to him and a quick rebellion is over with some compromises .

Nothing is ever scripted! All the dialogue is made up as we shoot, sometimes we have a rough idea of the plot points going in and sometimes we don’t even have that. Haven’t written scripts for my videos in years and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Eh, it's historically been Democratic nations and tyrannical governments that unrealistically hold onto laws of the past, not kingdom's, which had leaders who can personally dictate which laws will and won't be enforced, and therefore they were just as open to progressive change as to regressive change, depending on the present leader. Queen Victoria's anti slavery laws and then subsequent war on slavery, at great cost to the British Empire might I add, is a perfect example of this. The UK only recently finished paying back the debt they incurred from that one back in 2015? If I remember correctly, so large was the devotion of the GDP spent on it that it took nearly 200 years for one of the richest nations in history to pay it off.

Problem is that those old laws were also often willingly upheld by the people, Leaders of the past couldn't just discard old-fashioned laws willy nilly if they didn't like them without significant public support.
