I don't think the devs understand that dinosaurs have eyes on the side of their head for a reason, its to give them almost a 180 view to survive and with the eating and drinking camera lock already, i don't think the new camera system is needed or even realistic.

Specifically herbivores, carnivores always have their eyes at the front of their heads and tbh they should just add a first person feature where people can choose wether they want the death wish view or the orbital view

@@RandomMackem3247Most carnivores still don’t have full-on human-level binocular vision. If you look at most carnivorous dinosaur skulls (T. rex is the exception), they still have somewhat sideways facing eyes, having close to 180 degree vision. Herbivores, on the other hand, have almost 360 degree vision….

I honestly couldn't care less I just started playing the game so I was never spoiled by some previous system and I gotta say the nerve wracking experience of eating and drinking is awesome. makes the game scary. as it should be your literally playing as an animal and you CAN see side to side you just cant see directly behind you

The camera changes bring more negatives than positives. The positives are few. More realistic, more blind spots, able to look up without the dino's body blocking your view. But the negatives are numerous and very severe. - Alt-attacks become very difficult to use if not impossible. - Animals using tail attacks will become non-viable. - Ptera gameplay will be made impossible. - Animals relying on dodging and quick movements would become non-viable (like dryo). - Skin system becomes a joke because you cannot even see your animal. - What is the point of the quality of animation, skins, and shading if the player cannot even see it. - People with motion sickness might get hit hard by this. I feel it should be server setting IF the devs decide they want to create this new system. Allow community servers to make the choice between the 2 camera options.

It's not even more realistic, if anything it's less realistic

The new camera system is probably the only time Ive ever seen the community united and not divided. There are maybe ten people, max, ive seen who are in favor of it, a few who want to wait and see, and an overwhelming majority (myself included) who think its an awful choice for the game.

No change, it was always just an experimental concept, people just heard about it and went mad spreading it like fire, didn't even bother to find out if it was actually coming, there will be some camera changes in future but Not the ones shown in the stream @@VelocciYT

It makes sneaking up to get close to prey before pursuing them an actually viable option, and considering the isle is more focused on realism, it was the right choice. It's a shame it was reverted.

Velocci, the camera changes are being reverted, so It will be more like a server option for comunity servers

Some things about the Camera System not mentioned in the Devblog 1. They are playing with the idea of changing the Camera 2. It is a Very early Prototype so don't expect it to look like this much later on 3. What we were shown on stream was NOT the actual system, those were more of guidelines for when someone starts toying with the camera system 4. The Devs said they might make Community servers have the option to enable/disable it Quote from Punch: "Well keep in mind that whilst we do want to make camera changes, it's not necessarily in the direction shown in the concept/mock-up that was just experimented with on that stream. A prime example of a camera adjustment that the game sorely needs would be the Troodon, as right now trying to run around with grass obscuring your vision as a Troodon is pure pain." And "If you're not aware, the camera you saw was a basic concept iteration. Basically a mock-up to be explored by the actual designers/programmers for experimentation, kinda like a visual design document. You'd be surprised how many experimental features we and many other studios go through behind closed doors, it was never said by us anywhere that it would actually be coming out. Not to mention; If we ever were to release something that major of a change, it'd just be a server option, like we've done for every other major system we've released." Just wanted to clear this up.

People will completely ignore this and continue to flame them. I'm trying as an individual to calm people down but it's difficult because the majority does not want to see reason or does not want to get educated on how game dev works. If this continues and the community continues to backlash this way it may be the very community itself that spells the end for this game. We need to remember that the devs are people too and they can only take so much BS for so long. And frankly they have been dealing with it for a long, long time. Veyr undeservingly if I must say so myself.

I want to see the game they said they wanted completed. This kind of behavior people keep inciting is just going to cause the game to collapse in on itself.

So it was mentioned that the camera changes are not being implemented. It was later mentioned in Dondi’s stream, I am wondering if Dondi likes to speak his mind but doesn’t always set it in stone. He does have a lot of hours of work almost every day of evaluation for his game with streams. I know a lot of people have been upset, but I am continuing to be patient as no other game offers this kind of unique play style for a dinosaur game, and I still hope for evrima to unveil an experience we can all enjoy.

I have over 4k hours of playing both versions of Legacy and Evrima. its a playstyle I have always enjoyed regardless of what others have said. I also like to help those that are learning the game for the first time and showing them how to play and then let them figure out their own playstyle. The way you play or want something to show up or be implemented in the game I guess doesn't fit your playstyle or your patience is wearing thin for waiting on upcoming updates. But the way I see it If i didn't like this game i wouldn't be commenting or showing interest. But if this game is creating that much stress for you, maybe its time to find something new.

The new camera system its just bad. No one complained about the old camera, because it was simply the best for the game.

All of this sounds great (if you exclude the camera system), hopefully they'll actually be able to implement these promptly as we've been talking about the trike and maia for a while now

Im not sure about the camera but I think it's great they are adding new ai and making the ecosystem more live! :D

I love how Path of Titans news are just like: One of the biggest updates, 40 balance changes, 3 new dinosaurs, 73 new moded dinos, 7 new maps. Then T.I news are all: "They shown an animation for the rex (haven't posted none in years)" "They released two new concept arts" "They shown a model (not painted)" or this one which is literally "they published the biggest devblog" They'd definitively be better at being politcians and promising things that ain't gonna happen than being developers of a game.

Bro Dondi sucks If he is going to bring the new camera system in. I think he is focusing in the wrong system instead of making new mechanichs and playable dinos...

Ever since Gateway, i cannot play.. Even the slightest turn with the camera freezes my screen. And now they releasing trike soon. My favorite dinosaur!! So sad!😭🥺💔

I dont know why they are still even bothering with humans or cannibals. They have been in the works for how long now? And I dont think ive ever met anyone that was excited for that content. Its like totally ignoring what the playerbase actually want imo.

im not excited for the new camera system, because the 3rd person gives enough space to actually see the dinosaur and move around correctly. it also gives more stability to the camera because its more far, immagine having the camera THAT close while being a beipi for example, the motion sickness will give me an headache that strong that i'll die by just spawning probably.

Now we wait 5 more years for any of this to be put into the game

I think actually knowing where a player is looking will be incredibly valuable for ambush predators. We've seen how camera locking can help with this while drinking and eating, and while it's not the greatest feeling, it'll ultimately benefit the experience by creating more vulnerabilities. That being said, execution is everything here. If it's too hard to look around as a dino it'll undoubtedly take away from the experience a good bit.

I think the unknown trike animations are it rolling around in mud.

The baby slam animation is for when it hatches out of an egg.

Fortunately, it seems like they've shelved that awful camera idea. I love everything else they have planned! I'm hoping they'll be able to drop at least four dinos over the summer, but for now, I'm excited about dibble.

the new camera system will completely kill the game, period. The good thing is that it'll remove the doubts on when things will be done. It is such a stupid idea and decision that one is fully entitled to think that it is a deliberate attempt to kill the game on purpose

Honestly, if they want limited view they should just do what day of dragons did and give us a first person view and keep the third person as normal

I will wait on camera until I play around with it, but the MAIN ISSUES isn't eh camera it is the smaller dinos can't see shit anywhere cause tall foliage is in our faces all the damn time. They need to phase these things out as you walk through them within a certain distance so we can see where the crap we ar ewalking.

These devs need to speed up the process but keep the quality

I like the Diet system, Pteranodon, Deinosuchus on Evrima. I love The Isle legacy but no servers

This is why I play path of acorns way more.

They did, I believe, or more so got polished, as seen in the video.

Imo, the isle is pretty amazing game, but the only things that’s holding it back is because of some of its crappy updates (for instance, the new camera update) but it does look a little bit better than PoT (pls don’t attack me ;-;)

I just bought the game 7/10 days ago, I have 6 hours and I dont know anything abou the isle :)

Why do they keep working on things that less than 5% of the playerbase cares about. Like what dinosaur is going to be chasing crabs and rats and isects for food? They really think people like to play dinosaurs smaller than a utah raptor? Also why make the camera even worse than it had already been made? A few years ago the game got pushed forward a bit and felt claustrophobic, and now they want to go even further? These devs are hopeless

i stopped playing this game like 5 years ago , the promise of a finnished game is like star citizen

Maybe devs should add tutorial first ?

Camera is really shitty idea, more than half of my kills are made by waiting for good ambush when others wont expect it, crocs are exists too, literally making drinking water very scary process. Dilos are in game now with good night visions, making them using disadvantage of poor visions of other dinos, etc, etc, etc. That just... Out of place?

The camera system does not have divided opinions. Everyone hates it.

Don't really like the "it will be a server option response". Sure server options are good, but if 90 percent of community doesn't want the new camera, and they are still gonna put it on officials that is still bad.

They need to pump out dinos and get rid of the nutrition system that forces people to go where they want you to go. Get Apex dinos out and put ai dinos for food sources all over the map and for God sake bring back the other map as well.

I hope this game comes to PlayStation cause I’m tired of play that slow updating slow growth can’t really do anything but fight and there’s no nesting and the dinosaurs in path of titans don’t feel real the people who make mods those dinosaurs feel real I just wish the isle was on PlayStation I would love to play that

So.... not that much is actually changing, idk, a lot of this just seems pretty standered to me for all the isle has talked about doing and making. Idk, i could be wrong

I have 2500h on isle envrima i played since 2 yeara ago and i got to admit game is just going down i tried playing new map but i fell like its too big and has nothing to it no ai spawns and it just looks like shit game was in best state when old utah was there but after that game got fucked i tried playing path of titans and i fell like its like 10 times better rn if ur an og of isle try the game u might be suprised its different and i respect that ofc the fighting is not as amazing but having quests to do chaning skins and just trying different attack combos fell amazing and also the map is good it has many good places and they are memorisable just like center was in old map utah rock... Give it a try it might suprise you

I will stop playing the game if/after the devs implement this terrible camera system. It by no means makes the game more realistic, or fixes an appetant issue. Absolutely absurd waste of time from the devs.

Leave it to the Isle devs to add stupid shit and make dumb changes over actually... oh idk... getting the game remotely close to the Legacy one first. This game doesn't seem to know what it wants to be. Hardcore Survival? Arena PvP? Dino Sim? It feels like Arena PvP with tedious survival "Features" and it's willing to throw fun out for those. At this point I really feel like this game needs more content in terms of roster and to focus on the game actually being fun and enjoyable. This dang title is in developmental hell. I really hope it comes out on top because their animation and modelling team are top notch.

The camera system wont stay look what happened to the first night vision GONE i swear it wont stay in and if it stays in the game longer than 1 to 2 months than i will leave the game and play path of titans more but i swear it wont stay in

They've already back tracked and said it will now be an option for community servers. But honestly I think you're right. That it will cause so much motion sickness and frustration that they'll have to seriously adjust or outright revert it.

I remain against the forced drink/feeding camera lock. Never should have been implemented.

The new camera is an awful choice for the game if they don't give the option to switch between cameras. First person games give me such horrible migraines to the point of being unplayable, so I suppose I'll be done with the isle. Also, like others said, what's the point of cool skins, nice animations, and tail attacks if you can't even see your dino??

There is no Future, the game will not launch out of early access.

They can add as many dinosaurs or fancy mechanichs as they want, but im still not playing the game untill it fixes it's boring ass map and gameplay.

New camera system is a complete waste of time. nobody ever complained about the current system if its not broke don't fix it. Nobody asked for it nobody wants it except that hippy in charge.

the only reason this game is fun is because of the variety of dinosaurs, it would defeat the purpose to take away from the main experience that everyone has adapted to. the camera change is one of the worst decisions ever made and decisions like this destroyed legacy, this game WILL die.
