Yes, I'd like to see how fast quivr runs, and know what you're using for GPU support (local, cloud, what model and how many) to calibrate my expectations. I don't have to see the whole end-to-end process - just seeing the speed of the tokens coming out at the beginning, or telling us the total time it took to run, would be enough.

@scottmiller2591 I too would be curious to know how many tokens does each query eat. I'd need to know how to budget for this beast. Some of us could use an exact how to I stall I video with specific steps though..
Yes please create a video that explains how to create a local instance of Quivr/Docker that would be a lifesaver! Thanks Andy, keep up the good work like always 🙏
Great evaluation, as always! A video about the local installation of quivr would definitely be cool!
Yes please to an installation video. I'd there a way where it can pull in files from a reference manager? You could then quiz your entire academic library
Hi Andy, you mentioned you could show us how to install and troubleshoot the steps, to have a local repository for quivr. Can you shoot a video on that? Much appreciated.

Yes, I would love an installation video to setup Quivr. I followed all of the instructions and meticulously went through Stan Girard's video and instructions, but there were a few differences on my computer. I tried to go through his comments where he directed people to an updated READ ME file, yet I still did not get a connection success. Frankly, following a video you make could be cool OR if anybody knows of a code person that can share screens get it done, that would be worth $. Thanks Andy for all of your videos. Being able to chat while AI interacts with my previous papers would be absolutely amazing. Man this industry is changing fast!
Can you do a official ranking of the usefulness of all of your AI tools you have reviewed? I know the world of AI research tools is rapidly developing, but it’s a bit overwhelming to try and watch every last AI research tool video of yours. It feels like you’ve shown over 200 tools in the past 2 years

It's meant to provide prompts rather than copying and pasting the output into the write-up. As for AI detection, there is a growing trend of more vivas, and they are assessing researchers' command of the topic.

Yes, please add a video walking through the setup of a local instance!
Thanks Andy! This is amazing! So glad to have found your channel!
I would like the local installation video. Also, thanks for your videos. I'm writing my PhD Dissertation and with your videos, I am able to stay on top of emerging AI tech. I have used MANY of yiour suggestions and AI is becoming a key aspect of my research. Keep them coming.
Hi Andy, amazing video ❤ Would love for you to share a video of how to do the local installation for Quivr. Thank you so much for your great content as always!
I can’t thank you enough, I’m a bit emotional not only that this is such an amazing time we’re in, but you video came at the perfect time as I began to loose hope that I’d find such a tool (Quivr) as described. I’ve been looking for about a year and though I have to test out, I think it’ll be just what I need. Again, I can’t thank you enough! *** PLEASE *** if you can do another video on more detail about how you set up Quivr, that’s be wonderful, ideally, if I could be so bold, in the near term! Many, many thanks again!
Hi. I work in academia and love your videos on new AI tools. Thank you. I would love a video on how to set up a local repository for quivr.
Outstanding examples, please show a video on local installation option. Thanks in advance
Nice video, thanks! Note that there is a fully local install where data does not leave your computer.
Hi, Dr. Stapleton. Could you make a video showing how to set up a local instance? Thank you.
Looking forward to your next video on creating local instance on Quivr 😇
Very very interesting to create our own brain... from own research works, data and all other collected data, papers and knowledge info....! Woowww... Thank you so much indeed! 😊😊
A compliment, I use your advices for AIs and tell them sometimes in my group and my supervisor sometimes asking me for an advise😅
Great video. This is exciting. Yes, please, do a video on local instance. I’m glad to see that others would like that, too.
A video about the local installation of quivr would definitely be very useful. Please make one!
Thanks mate, I'm excited to try out these tools:)
Yes, please I'm interested in this video regarding the local instance. Thanks!!!
You are so informative. Thank you!
Thank you so much for the information. Please create a video for installing local instance of Quivr.
It would be great to see a tutorial about how to install the local quivr! Thank you!
Would love a video tutorial or the installation process please.
Thats so great. Keep us up to date on the AI stuff!!
WOW I love quivr. A video about the local installation of quivr would definitely be cool
Jumping on the bandwagon. Would love to see a video describing how to set Quivr up locally. Thanks Andy!
That's really incredible, thank you! I'm wondering, does it only apply to research? Could this maybe be installed like the local version but on an AWS server and used as a chatbot instance for customer support if you upload all your customer support and help knowledge base?
Thank you so much for your work. I use them as teaching material in my business school

Awesome video! Yes, definitely interested in q full video on how to install the quivr app!
Thank you so much for the great video! Yes, please create a detailed video of how to run it on your own computer.
I really appreciate that you've shared this video; it has been truly excellent. I would like you to provide more details about the Quivr application, especially its installation process. Additionally, I'd like to know if there are any limitations regarding the use of this AI, such as a limit on the number of pages or the file size of PDFs it can interact with. Thank you in advance!
Video Perfect for My use, tnx👍
Great! I've always wondered if Zotero had a chat functionality.
I've been testing AI with various coding tasks, generally just Bard, it can be very frustrating, sometimes it gets very close then gets stuck in a loop of repeating the same mistakes. What is clever, is that when I show the corrected solution it is able to describe what issues I have solved and the context in understandable English, without me prompting it. These are not menial tasks, for example, write me a C# method to transpose chords.
yes please Andy, A Quivr Install Vid would be great, Thanks
Spectacular insights!!!
I would be great to see how you go about installing the local version and talk about any tips to keep everything safe
looking forward to the local instance, hopefully my system of 8 ram will be enough. Thank you for this video.
Valuable tutorial! Thank you
I would very much like a training video on how to set up Quivr.....I love your work by the way....extremely helpful
cool. I am looking forward to seeing a video about the local installation of quivr.
Amazing video, Thank you
Fascinating!!!
Thank you very much for this video Andy. How can I use the GPT-4.0 with QUIVR in my local brain. It only allows me the choose the Chat-3.5-turbo version. Thanks!
Hi. Great video. What would you recommend if I need complex statistics such as propensity score matched or Inverse probability of treatment weighting drastically analysis for my data set. Thx!
How does powerdrill handle images and tables etc from your docs? Can it Q&A drawing from figures (Figure 1...) in your research? For quivr, can you remove uploaded documents and have that content "forgotten"? Did you assess accuracy/performance with cGPT 3.5, or do both pd and quivr require 4.0?
Thank you Andy for this video. Would it be possible to show us how to run a Quivr as a local server ? Thank you
Thanks for video. Unfortunate quivr is not uploading pdf or word files today and no support to find out why
Have you done any videos on how to look for a good phd supervisor/faculty before you're accepted to the university? A lot of vids I'm watching say to make sure you get a good supervisor, but how do you do that?
thank you for such an informative video as always, and please to an installation video.
Yes i’d like a video of you doing the troubleshooting
Thanks man 👌🏽
it would be great if you showed us the installation process
Hi Andy, definitely interested in how to install quivr locally 🙂
Nice one. Also very interested in how to set up the local instance. Make. video, please.
Dr Andy, as you say yourself, Quivr is the future of scientific work. Wouldn't it be possible to do literature research, go through the documents and your own empirical data with Quivr to write all the chapters of a PhD thesis? If so, what is the best way to do this?
Yes. Please make a video running quivr locally
Please provide more details on setting up quivr for running in our own computers
Thank you for this video, waiting for a video of how to do the local installation for Quivr
can I ask a bit more about how the data is stored and secured? I feel like some of my colleagues would be asking a lot of questions about the security of the data we upload (e.g., pdfs of papers that are behind the university paywall.
Please make a video for installation and how to resolve the issues you faced. it will be very helpful . Thanks in Advance
Please make a Tutorial for the quivr local instance - im using Obsidian as a second brain and have been dreaming about this function ever since !!!!
It’s getting better but isn’t quite there yet. The limit on the token window is the issue here if you want to work across 100’s of your documents at once. The token window limit will be improved in the nit too distant future and then we will really see the power of these types of assistants fly.
Hi Andy, thank you for sharing this information. I'm currently writing my thesis and working on data analysis. When installing Quivr I could not resolve this error. The local instance is working but does not show the chat, upload, and explore functions. During docker-compose I keep on getting the error:- ValueError: Couldn't import 'celery_worker': Unsupported broker URL: {CELERY_BROKER_URL}. Thank you for sharing ur great work.
Please make a tutorial on how to install in local pc...Thank you very much for fantastic material
I’d love a video of the quiver database run locally. I had a look at your video showing a quick run through and got totally lost. I don’t have. Clue about coding!
6:20 immediate vote for a video like that, yes please!
What I find amazing is how everything that was open 'source' then gets turned in to closed source subscription server based steal your data 'source'.
When looking at supabase as the dataset for quivr, do you see a way to use notion as the source of information in supabase? I have a knowledge set in Notion that is my truth I want to base queries on. Does that make sense? Incredible overview, though. Thank you.
I would be interested in you guiding us to do a local instance setup
Can you create a meta brain whose data consist of 'regular' brains? For example, have a brain that understands the model for a given protein and another model that understands mathematical models regarding relationships and topology, and then use the meta brain to synthesize insights by using them both.

Been thinking of something similar! It would be nice to have those brains shareable as well!
Great video. What's the point of having a local Quivr installation, when you upload your private data to the cloud anyway?
Yes, I think a video on how to locally install quivr would be fanastic. thanks
A video on how you install quivr would be great. Still having some issues
Definitely interested in an indepth tutorial on Quivr local install!
Hi! The video was really nice. Could you make a video showing how to install quivr step by step?
I doubt anyone comprehends the fact that the world changed months ago. The crazy thing is we have not fully established the best way to use these tools. And the tools themselves have not been fully optimised either. I cannot remember the source, but TLDR the researchers made a SMALL mathematical tweak to the code, and gained a 20x improvement to the memory (context memory?) of the LLM (open source model likely will be applicable to GPT etc).

AI got smarter, but you are getting dumber. Astronauts in space get lighter, but their muscles get weaker. AI will make your brain weak, just like low gravity makes muscles weak
I would love a video on running Quivr as a local instance
Would really appreciate an installation and setup walkthrough, please!
❤❤❤❤❤thank you 🎉🎉
This is a game changer!
Is there a particular reason you reckon a grad student would pay/stretch to use these tools, or would you say ChatGPT and HeyGPT are probably 'good enough' for cost effective uses?
Yes please, make a full video on how to set it up...
Yes, it would be good to be talked through it a bit, Andy
Andy, it would be great if you’d make a video showing how to install Quivr!
Please make a video showing the installation of quvr.
5:35: Would greatly appreciate it if you could make the installation video! Thanks, Andy!
Thanks
Andy, why is it specifically better to create your own instance when using Quivr?
I'm attempting to setup/use the online version, but Quivr keeps telling me that my API key is invalid. Frustrating!
Would like to see how you managed to achieve the local install, please Andy 🙏
Andy! Please make a tutorial video for Local Instance installation.
Hey Andy, hello everyone, first of all, Andy, thank you for your videos. They are great, the right pace and fantastic information. Unfortunately, I'm struggling with Quivr. It should actually be very easy to at least try the web version. However, it always gives me the message "Invalid API-Key." Probably it is just me being stupid. But maybe you could help me out with an explanatory video, perhaps starting with the web version. Am I the only one facing this problem? Warm regards from Germany. Alex

I am having HUGE issues with both the local and website version - It doesn't have any of the function (for me) that others claim. So disappointed!
Thx for your content! One question: comparing AskYourPDF ChatGPT Plugin with Powerdrill, which one do you think is superior for talking with your data file? Greetings
