the thing i love about these videos is that I've been playing on and off for the better part of a decade (mostly off) and Wingspan has pointed me in a direction that i think i can finally enjoy in this game... cheers bro. look forward to applying to Wingspan soon :) thanks for the great content!

I started playing EVE as a little 12 year old boy. I would sneak my laptop into my room to play internet spaceships after my bedtime. I am now 20. And I still go strong. Though I must say, being 13 years old and having his badger ransomed in lowsec was... Painful. They made me sing "Ooh you touch my talala" on teamspeak. Unfortunately the person who recorded it... Their house burned down.

I think the Heavy Drone restrictions are there to prevent people from using a lot of computers with a lot of VNI-ratting alphas

The mining mechanics is an amazing idea. The fact that you can at least apply some sort of damage from a mining ship is both hilarious and kind of cool. I agree with the whole idea of making certain roles useful for other things like pvp.

My question is...is the Jove Empire, and Jove space going to be completely off limits forever, or are they going to incorporate them. I’ve been playing a long time, and I keep waiting for Jove content. Maybe a semi-annual Jove incursion that will force corps to unite and form alliances temporarily to fight them. Just a thought.

Ned Holmes thats the question since mid 2003 after we killed the invaders and scored the first miner 2 bpo. I fear is already dieing. it will never completely die but, 50k players online really means 10ish. it's almost impossible to enjoy the game with just one character and everything anyone wants to do takes forever. it's a shame, really. it's ccps fault. even missions are almost impossible to do these days because of all the low sec ganking. you can park an alt at the gate to save your ship but, again, it takes forever because of all the interruptions. even if you join a big Corp in a big alliance you still need a handful of toons. long live star citizen!

Maybe it's a bit much to think they read my comment haha, but I mentioned this exact things many times on forums and the like. NPC attacking player structures and moving fleets against players. Finally. This is BIG !!!

Have 20 6+ year accounts on this game, Haven't played in 2 years but installed it the other day, Watching your vids to get an idea of whether or not I want to play it again, Back in the days of Atlas battles, PL RED & all the others I was a big part of it sort of fizzled out with a patch that nerffed the way you Jump cap ships, I bet you can remember that patch, My mates still bitch about it now on comms lol.... My current Corp that ive been in for years now has dropped down from 250 members to a dismal 40+ of which only about 10% are active so im finding it hard to be motivated to play.... Dont want to swap corps to a more active one as the corp im in was great in its day.. But as you can imagine the game-play without the corp is massively different as I was never really a single man roaming wrecking crew..... Thanks for the Vids :)

You still won't see that many mining fleets in J space. We just roll the system and have people stay on sig watch while the mining is going on. Larger corps will run combat sites and mining fleets during the same system lockdown. You might beable to rage roll into one but thats going to be few and far between. And 95% of the time we see the sig and have it scanned down, and have eyes on it before anything bad can happen

aw, I had a procurer sitting in the hanger and I still can't use it... I hope they let alpha clones use mining barges.

i pay for one account and plex the other four by extracting skills and doing PI if your charaters are already trained its nothing to extract a plex worth of skills every month. as long as the skill market stays in tune with the plex price I'm not worried about paying subs. its nice to get 2-3 billion a month in ratting income along with 7-10 billion in PI and skill extracting income.

+Christopher Curtis well it's two things, first of all it is really difficult to justify training an entire month to get a 2% damage bonus on a Tech 2 weapons launcher that I never really fit to a stealth bomber to begin with. Plus I always thought it would be kind of sad to officially finish my stealth bomber training

didn't we kill a mining fleet last week in a C2-C4? It's good for business all around. And then the CEO of the corp congratulated us on catching people that weren't following proper protocol (not being on comms, standing fleet, bubbles, pickets. etc)

So again they want to force us to play with other people?

if you have 17 plex you should have 1 day of T2 + ..use if you already have T2 +,..trained

im not sure about any of this, however one thing is for certain. watching this has actually made me even less likely to play this game. good luck to you all, the universe that had been made by the game is intensely interesting, however the inhabitants are some of the worst ive seen anywhere. it is no surprise though when ppl put on the mask of a virtual identity they get crazy.

My biggest problem with EVE and most MMO's is having PVE & PVP fits, you get rigged for a mission only to get ganked by some morons and nine times out of ten your toast, fighting npc's shouldn't be any different than fighting pvpers. As for people being forced even more to cooperate with others, nobody can be trusted in this game! why would I want to team up with them? F*&% that nonsense. The only thing you did say that made any sense was that you should be able to use mining Lasers as wepons, but 1DPS? you should be able to alpha any frigate with them, with the right tracking skillls, making them think twice about griefing miners, and before anyone goes into one about carebears, No Mining No Game! Period! As for mining I had three accounts and would happily while away an hour or two, then the nerfed the F*&% out of the cargo holds and people went mining in Battle ships FFS, that was about the end for me, and I havn't heard anything that would entice me to return.

Well I'm trying to play, and I mean, I'm really, really trying.... But it looks like whoever is doing gameplay, and (ship) balance couldn't pass a 6th grade math class. The whole gameplay is totally screwed, and its no wonder 300k players who were PAYING at the time I left...... quit. I really don't think it matters too much what people can train too if none of it works, or works like some 8 year old kids working on it who has a 4 second attention span, so the game play and battles has to last only 4 seconds. I'm trying, but I don't get it... It looks broken, its annoying, and childlike.

Bleh. Caring about the game while griefing noobs. Your Corp is a shadow of what it once was. How many new wh corps have you evicted this week?
