The Future Of Energy | Climate Trailblazers: Reimagining Our Future

An energy revolution is gathering momentum, with solutions already in place, to enable clean and renewable power to be harvested everywhere, along with new technologies to make our consumption of energy much more efficient. There are also new solutions for liquid fuels, to decarbonize sectors that are typically hard to abate. Discover the future of energy, on this short documentary on new technologies that are revolutionising the production of energy.

Not included that is probably one that we all need is a breakthrough on battery technology. With all the clean energy the world could get, we need better batteries to store electricity. Smaller footprint but larger capacity, better storing technology that does not deplete like the current battery technology we have.

@@jKee-mw8kz Wow, that is fascinating! Thanks for the link. Large scale energy storage by freezing air, and somewhat efficient because all of the energy used to freeze and reheat the liquid air are reused for another run of the process. That's great.

There are plenty of promising technologies out there. Bringing these to scale of being used by billions of people is much harder than "just" inventing it since it cannot be as cheap as something thats already out there for years. So it needs incentives, and thats where YOU need to engage for politicians willing to do so!

There is not enough time to figure out nuclear fusion.

Renewable diesel has its own issues including a variety of noxious exhaust particles that aren't good for the human respiratory system- carbon monoxide, nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur oxides, and hydrocarbons, including polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Definitely a dead-end if we are trying to make a healthier society.
