The police later ruled it as a crime, but they have not found the culprit. Infamously, multiple news anchors laughed at this incident, and it was rarely treated seriously.

Anthrocon has been a huge part of Pittsburgh for many years, and the money the convention brings into that city from not just the state and the US, but from all over the world, is a huge benefit. Plus I’ve been to AC before, and this con does a really good job

Did you literally just get all your information about the fandom from Internet Historian and/or Encyclopedia Dramatica? I am a furry, and the overwhelming majority of us condemn the stupidity carried out at the con. But of course you wouldn't care to acknowledge that because you want to see the worst in things you don't like, even if it pales in comparison to the best, like all the charity work furry conventions participate in and big-name furry "celebrities" contribute to, like the Trevor Project in Sonic Fox's case. We have a "Nazi Fur" presence in the fandom that has existed since the 90s when they were known as the "Burned Furs" (I'm sure you knew this). Does that mean all furries are neo-Nazis? Pittsburgh really is the best choice for an event of such a grand scale. The culture, the art, the friendly faces! Way to go CBS-Pittsburgh, you've most definitely earned some fans in our community with such a great and positive report!

I’ve wanted to go to Fur cons for a long time- especially AnthroCon- But I have a job xD- so I have to find time for fur cons usually xD- I’d need like- a break or something of time off so I can have like a vacation or idk. Anthrocon works overtime to maintain good relations with the city, and it pays off. One of the big selling points of this con is that it's one of the only ones where their presence isn't just tolerated, but openly embraced by the city (local businesses have themed specials and the fursuit parade actually goes onto city streets; new for this year, they also had a "block party" where the public could interact with fursuiters after the parade).

I'd love to live in USA or at least UK, because I have a pretty good English, and there are a much bigger amount of Furcons than in Spain (There's only one, and I can't go because I wouldn't still be old enough). I would also say Germany, but I don't know German yet..

this warmed my heart

I went to Anthrocon for the weekend because a friend went and i included it into my vacation in PA thinking "oh a furry convention, might as well..." and now i REALLY want to go back because it was the best convention i ever went to. The block party was a HUGE success in my opinion, it was fun, colorful and wholesome because civilians and furries could interact with each other and while i liked them before i absolutely LOVE furries now. The convention center is absolutely stunning btw. and i loved the view from the roof area. I had a great time in Pittsburgh and i'm super in love with the city now. Greetings from Germany

Side note about the tails: Don't pull them because the suits and tails are pretty expensive, and you could accidentally damage it! These costumes cost a lot and take a lot of time, so if you ever see one of us PLEASE ask before you hug, touch, or physically interact.

I've seen so many people think it's funny to run up behind a fursuiter and tug on their tail without permission and there's just so many things that can go wrong. If the suiter isn't aware and they're walking, you could tug them off balance! You could pull the tail off or rip the fabric!
