Unfortunately no. The child is given the caste of his father or worse a level lesser within his father's caste. It is just creating more layers in the caste system.

Ager hum caste ka record lena hi chod de toh(in jobs, education and other opportunities)? I mean anyone can get xyz govt. job or anyone can get admission in xyz college inspite of there cast just based on their merit.

Caste system is social, economical and political problem how can we remove it just by saying 'casteism is bad, gave up your caste'. Changing names, religion is not the solution. There are social reforms that have been done before but not appreciable change has happened in the society. Reservation is the solution where political power distributed to the lower caste people and giving them fair representations to gov.jobs. If upper caste people truly want to remove caste system just make relationship with lower caste, support inter-caste, inter-religion marriages. This would be the best solution at individual and social level. But no one take the burden of this revolutionary step even mahek don't🧐. The problem in India is people are badly isolated by caste, religion, economic level and other identities even they live in a diverse society. Usually in arrange marriages people choose their own caste, religion or other identity so that there religion, faith, ideology won't contrasts and transfer their faith as a genetic material😒 and hereby it is naturaly casteism, child abuse. *Children must be taught how to think, not what to think* - Margaret Mead

Imagine if one day all the LC Hindus realise they don't want their kids to be LC or lower born And they eventually get to the conclusion that it's impossible to be a castless Hindu, it's always going to be caste that consumes Hinduism not the other way around So they accept a better religion (religion of their choice) with better social structure, world view, values But the ex LC hindu were the majority of Hindus, that means the savarna Hindus will be in the minority. So now that the LC (the so called untouchables, inferior, lower born, impure) are not in the equation, will they dissolve the caste system ? Or will they find the new LC between themselves ? This is ofc a hypothesis based on behavioral science, but I can totally see this happening Afterall Hinduism has a record of minor reforms and immediate major backslidings, we are in the backslidings right now

The caste system will be deported to the other religion also. And it is happening. Even the new religions like communism and capitalism are not immune to this, the old religions fare even worse.

To answer your specific question, the other religion where all the LCs migrate will become the lower caste. It has already happened. In India, Christians and Muslims are treated lower castes until unless they do specify their caste. Caste is omnipresent in Indian subcontinent. Caste taps into the primordial hunting emotion of man. That is the problem.
