Cecile's quest line and the reward you receive makes so much more sense now, especially with the record name being divine service. The act of retrieving the god arm for the archbishop

Camille was originally the wife of Gepetto and mother of Carlo. She got the P.D. and then G. put her ergo into a maid type bot... it caught baby Carlo when he fell from his crib. Alchemists, likely with G. then captured her and took her apart... leading to the Grand Covenant being able to be formulated from the discoveries, among others towards better puppets.

This is THE best summary of the game that I’ve seen. Very well narrated and the flow is just perfect. How you introduced the elements important to the story at the start was solid. Subscribed and looking forward to more! Also lovely voice!

My headcanon/theory for what The Relic of Trismegistus could be is that maybe it is the impact crater from when the "star"/"angel"/"God torn to death" initially landed when it descended to Earth as outlined in the So Said Pistris books. And the name meaning "thrice the greatest" could also play into the trinity sanctums hidden throughout Krat as well. Incredible outline video and wonderful analysis. Have to agree with you that Lies of P is one of the best gaming experiences I've had in years, maybe even a decade. I've played through the game 5 times now and every time I feel so immersed in its world. I look forward to seeing anymore videos you put out on it!

One of the more enjoyable game lore/story analysis channels I've found. Something about your pacing and speaking pattern just clicks. If I could make a request I'd love to see something like this done for the Remanent games, espcially the second which came out this year.

Awesome job man! this was probably one of the best lies pf P lore videos I've ever heard! I hope you make a video on what the "Blue Angel" is, what the nature of it is, the source of Kroud, Ergo, and the Arm of god, that is what intrigued me the most about the story. I never really got a full answer on where exactly Ergo comes from, why it gives people the petrification disease, what that Blue Angel/God was...why people turn into weird tentacle monsters when they get the false cure. Why is Gold Coin fruit a Cure-All? People of Krat being able to botte wishes, and their wish being heard by a star. Theres obviously some cool supernatural God lore there. I really like the way they turned the story of pinnochio, "wishing upon a star, the blue fairy" into a story that includes Gnostic and godly elements. I'm a sucker for stories where theres some mysterious Deity being the source of all the problems, but also the main power that the main character and villains use. (Xenoblade/Xenogears.) theres obviously lots of Gnostic themes in the story, (Sophia Monad and others I cant remember. Sophia putting her life essence into Adam (P). I also find it interesting how Paracelsus has two namees that start with P. Nobody in the game calls P "P" or Pinnochio. Perhaps Lies of P is refferring to Paraselsus. P.P

Good video, I think the post credit scene is hinting of a big crossover story using many old fairytales together. We're starting with Pinocchio, some Oz and who knows what else they pull from.

I'm curious; where did you find the information that Romeo "asked" to be made into a puppet? I can't seem to find the collectible or item that says this. I know "Notes From An Experiment" shows that Geppetto was likely the one to transform Romeo into a puppet. But that collectible does not mention him asking for it.

No it does not refer to Paracelsus.... stop reaching for weird conclusions and spreading them. P is the "puppet" main character that we control. That is indicated by the ending name "rise of p". If what you say is true "rise of p" is rise of Paracelsus which makes NO sense at all.

Dang, what a lore dump. I am sorry but this made the game seem so ... Boring tbh. I guess the best way to explain the plot is that its like NGE, a crap ton of stuff happen in the background but you don't really concern yourself with them , that's the "reuse" you're really not supposed to be thinking about because it doesn't offer much in terms of substance. It's there if you look into it, but the real story is what you see the characters experiencing. The environmental story telling is chef's kiss in this game... Great lore video, but my gosh had it not been for the fact that the game itself was just so freaking great, and the lore being just the distant backdrop, while the actual story unfolds as you progress ...This game would have been boring AF and offered no true substance 😂 It's a great deconstruction of the fairytale genre, of Pinocchio itself... Its a story about what makes humans human, it additionally takes inspiration from works of Isaac Asimov for instance... It's actually kind of profound and does make you think 😊 Almost half the stuff memtioned in the video could be something you don't learn and it doesn't make the game lesser. But nice catch pointing out that Simon loved Sophia and thats why he kidnapped her. It's just a princess locked up in a tower which you storm a beach to rescue, and you set her free by... euthanasia 😅 its pretty dark. Again it's a dark twist on the genre while making commentary about it. And Simon does suggest she has something for our boi here... I have no idea why people miss those details, its fascinating! Anyway, you dont need to know all of this to enjoy the game, but i appreciate the fact that the studio put an effort into this.... If you make a video that treats it in a less "robotic" manner (No pun intended, well maybe a little), I'd be happy to watch. It's a game about "feeling" afterall. Oh and you're not a "good boy", you don't need to be a good boy to be a real boy, that's not how humans work 😂 just keep that in mind 😊

I think I get where you're coming from for the most part. You could say the same thing about Dark Souls, Cyberpunk, Magic The Gathering, etc. but people enjoy the flavor text and background information nevertheless. That's the idea of this video. I certainly agree that practically none of the story is important to the intimate experience of the narrative, but it's there, and it warrents discussion either way. Recently, i've been thinking of revisiting this title and re-treading some of the lore in a new way. Not certain I'll do it anytime soon, but I appreciate the critique, and if I do end up making that video, i'll keep it in mind ✌️
