Having beaten KH3 now (Don't worry I won't spoil,) It's even more infurating! There are a TON of obvious ties to the KHuX story, including some that even the Japanese game hasn't gotten to yet!!! Why put that kinda story info into a slow updating app when it matters to KH3 and possibly future games? I agree it makes zero sense.

@@Jabbadabut123 basically a major reason why I hate mobile game spin-offs that get shoved into canon with a burning passion (looking at you, Coded and Before Crisis pre retcon). It seems to be a recurring issue for Square Enix.

Ah....I guess that's what Larxene meant by being "along for the ride".

I'd honestly would like to see someone make an in-depth analysis video on Ventus at this point, personally he's raising too many red flags for me. People seem to dismiss him because of his innocent persona, but lets not forget that Master Xehanort chose him as an apprentice for a reason, and the darkness Xehanort extracted from his heart created the monster that is Vanitas, which also raises some eyebrows for me. Ventus is more than meets the eye, his dark half is Vanitas, an apprentice to Xehanort, and now a dandelion leader. Somethings definitely up, I wonder if we'll know more about his origins in KH3.

It especially raises up red flags when you consider that the foreteller's names resemble the Seven Deadly Sins: 1. Ava -> Avaritia/Greed 2. Invi -> Invidi/Envy 3. Gula -> Gula/Gluttony 4. Ira -> Ira/Wrath 5. Aced -> Acedia/Sloth 6. Luxu -> Luxuria/Lust Which leaves behind the seventh: Pride/Vanity or "Vanitas".

@@xx7956 honestly, i really wouldn't be surprised if vanitas was actually ventus in this. there's a reason maleficent was interested in the dream/data worlds, i imagine xehanort would be interested in it as well, especially with how obsessed he is about the keyblade war and kingdom hearts. if it IS vanitas and not ventus working among the other masters and he IS the traitor, then he's clearly looking for something as well. maybe there's a clue about the master of masters, or the box. actually, i think i know what it could be. they could be going for the data for lauriam and elrena so they can get their nobodies again, which would explain how they return in kh3. (could also just be the old "wibbly wobbly, timey wimey stuff" explanation, but this seems at least a bit more reasonable.)

i always assumed ventus was a dark user before he lost his memory(right before becoming xehanorts apprentice 4 years before BBS). xehanorts entire training sequence was as if he expected this kid to just pull out enough dark power to make an X-Blade all on his own. Which i found extremely weird bc xehanort does not waste a single move he makes.

It's fairly clear that KHUX Ventus is even meeker than his future self. He's not so bright, not so strong, a bit of an underachiever. Something that's bothered me since Ven's introduction is this line from BbS: "I still don't know exactly what [the χ-blade] is. But... it scares me to death. Even just the thought of it." In BbS, Ventus is forced to join his heart with Vanitas to forge the χ-blade. I have to wonder if maybe it's not the first time, and that maybe the strong darkness that became Vanitas wasn't always a part of Ven's heart. @@xx7956 The Latin name for the sin of Pride is Superbia. Vanitas is Latin for emptiness. Combined with the inscription on the black box (χsuper), many fans theorize that Superbia is the Master's name.

I think Disney and Square Enix owe us a movie about all this lol.

I had no idea there was so much interesting and relevant lore in this mobile game but I do not have any desire to play it.

Don't. The game itself is abhorrent, and it's run by developers whose MO is to try and squeeze as much money as possible out of their players via their particularly obscene pay-to-win model. Story updates only come out once a month, and even then they only come out in laughably pathetic segments that can't take more than ten minutes to get through, and EVEN THEN the NA port of the game is HALF A YEAR behind the Japanese narrative, even though the only thing SENA would have to do is translate the dialogue and field/battle text into English-something that fan translators get done in less than a day after the JP updates drop. Trust me. You're better off saving your time and definitely your money. Do make sure to view the story online, though, because the amount of shit that is important in this game to the rest of the series is baffling. Just don't deal with the game itself. Don't give those greedy corporate bastards anymore money for this trash.

Thank you so much for this! Don't know if the KH novels are considered 100% canon, but I do remember a scene where Larxene mentions not wanting a heart, stating that having one was painful. Since nobodies retain memories from their original selves, this implies her somebody went through some emotional trauma at some point.

Well some parts of the novels can be assumed to be canon, since they expand on the story. Likely what happened to Strelitzia and the aftermath of the Keyblade War (in particular the memory wipe being an issue), might've been catalysts to how Larxene is currently. Even Lauriam, the caring brother, turned into a manipulative individual, who may or may not have his full memories of the KHUX events.

@@Cabolt44 To be fair, Marluxia and Larxene didn't have hearts, so it makes sense that they had sociopathic traits like manipulation and ruthlessness. Whatever it is that'll happen in KHUX to Lauriam and Elrena is probably irrelevant to their nobodies' personalities, as they would always be devoid of emotion and thus, devoid of trauma. But then again, nobodies can apparently grow hearts somehow... Either way, I hope Nomura regards in the future installments what the novels/manga added. It's kinda sad that most fans are unaware of it. For example, Vanitas was given a huge amount of depth to his character and very humanized past just another pure evil villain like the games show.

@@wolgreve6053 I think Nomura does acknowledge the novels, but hasn't placed some of those aspects into the story just yet. Vanitas was a huge shock though when I read about it. Apparently he was basically Ventus, but was tortured and manipulated by Xehanort to the point he became cold and ruthless. That is incredibly sad. Hope Sora and co can somehow save him and properly reunite him with Ventus.

Of course PvP is somehow story related. With Nomura, everything has to be intertwined. haha Great video! Keep these KHUx story videos up, Damo. It seriously helps with understanding what's going on since the updates are so few and far between.

Now imagine this as a triple A title on the ps4 on unreal engine.... Thriving multiplayer with a combat adapted from mainline kh games. The story is actually so interesting...but why WHY is it a mobile game if its *THIS* important. This is literally ORIGIN lore. The foundation of the series...sigh

I think that since Lauriam is no longer a suspect for Strelitza's death then he is a genuine leader of the dandelions and therefore a keyblade wielder and similarly Elreina is also confirmed a dandelion which would make her a wielder as well. Not a 100% confirmation but that seems the most logical conclusion to the dabate. Lol Of course Nomura adds plot twists for the sake of just having plot twists so until we see them actually using keyblades then we won't know for sure.

Nomura likes his plot twists but his story telling is relatively coherent, given the additions to the plot he has made over the years. So your assumption about Lauriam and Elrena is very likely correct.

@@draconicthemoelion7726 Why would they re release BBS without Leonard Nimoy's voice? The change only happened for KH3, because you know Nimoy is gone now, and couldn't do any new voice clips. The 2.5 edition shows they are still using Nimoy's voice. As for retcons, well it depends. For KH the only retcons we seemingly got was about Nobodies, and the BBS Donald and Goofy. Not sure about any KH3 content (haven't played it), but those are the retcons we got so far. As for Nomura oversight I'm sure Square Enix has teams that do tell him when to stop, but he also works so much with basically every KH and FF game that that oversight is almost toothless.

As confusing as Union Cross is, i’ll Admit that the story is one of the best in the series. Of course, it’s not finished so my opinion may change. But I’m loving the revelations so far!!!

It truly is puzzling why we aren't on the same page as JP these days since translating really shouldn't be that hard since all the animations for the scenes and such are already done, they just have to insert the text. If it really is as simple as SENA not wanting us to have all the potential jewels from all the story missions that haven't been released this it really shows how petty they are. I don't mind this game but I find a lot of things to not like about it as well. Expensive jewels, unfair rng odds, missing content and basically catering mostly to the dolphins and whales of the game, the new TVA Trio medal is clear evidence of that.

When mercy came it seemed like things were picking up and then they made the move to make mercy VIP? I mean it doesn't affect me too much since I usually buy it each week if only for the 'discounted' jewels but the move to remove mercy from F2P just puzzled me. Best situation I'd say is if they brought the 10 mercy back for F2P and VIP keeps theirs as well and maybe gets a 5 mercy with double chance to just provide that little incentive for VIP purchases. Why SENA doesn't do this puzzles me but somehow I think that they may end up doing this when KH3 comes around to probably try and keep their player base.

And the only way to be somewhat decent at pvp is to have duplicates of high damaging medals with good traits extra attack and a lot of copy medals as well. And the only reason you would want to play it is for the fairy tickets. Its like they force you to spend money on the game. But the thing is we are only in it until KH 3 drops sooo

@@Blazin720 Well KH3 is the current (main story), and is the game we have been waiting for, for several years. Of course many of the most loyal KH fans will switch off of UX, to play KH3. However UX is still important to the overall KH mythos.

I ask the same thing with the main games. Why does KH3 come out in Japan on the 25th and in the US on 29th? Why did Kingdom Hearts 3D come out several months later in the US? Idk if this is a Japan loyalty thing or Square Enix?

You can blame Nomura for that one through and through. He's on record saying he don't care about anywhere outside of Japan for any new releases and was legit upset for the Japanese version of KH3 being delayed to match up with the rest of the world. Dude is a Japanese nationalist to the point that he got mad at Disney for trying to make the game world wide released together... Dude is a full on jerkoff of a person when it comes to worldwide releases and releases in general.

I didn't know KH Chi (now Union Cross) was so important other than showing the original Keyblade War. A shame international fans get left out of this experience, honestly Square only cares about Japan always... hey I loved your summaries and I have no idea where this is all going. I'm scared for my boy Ventus, if he exists right now, how does he become Xehanort's apprentice? Does he not age or what? This story is sooooo weird.

I’m so grateful for these videos, I’ve played every console game of KH, but HATE mobile games so I never touched this one. The story is already so convoluted and hard to keep track of, that having these plot threads laid out in an understandable way is super helpful

I LOVE the KH games and cannot wait for KH3. But thinking back I never really followed the story just played the games. So in prep for KH3 I have been watching recaps for all the games. DEAR GOD this game has the most convoluted story of ANY series out there. Real World, Dream World, Digital World, Time Travel, I am just waiting to find out that Sora is the son of Dream Sora and Xion. Still LOVE these games and great job with the breakdown.

Everyone always says 13 years for KH3, but we've only been waiting 6 years at least. All the side titles are named as such because they added to the KH2 plot (starting from BBS and 358/2 Days), which was left wide open by that CGI secret movie.

Your recaps have helped me get the story behind Union X, and let me enjoy the game and series replay just that bit more since. 🖖😊💕 I've been pointing others in your and KHInsider's direction, when they asked where to find an easier way to learn KHUX's story without playing the actual game as well. These plot twists are definitely going to be an important tool to get certain parts of KH3, and I don't want my friends to have a 'didn't play CoM before 2' moment, because they can't or won't grind in a gacha game with a delayed update schedule. 🙄

The more I find out about union cross, the more worried I get that KH3 won't resolve/answer anything and we'll all have to wait for this dumb mobile game.

Think about it this way. Square makes $60 in 2019 from a ton of people when they release KH3, and $40 when they release a collection once a year. But they make $15 A WEEK from a smaller subset of people that Union Cross and buy VIP. It is in their best interest to get a bunch of people playing their gacha game that costs FAR less to develop and makes comparatively far more money for far less risk, they will absolutely drag the story of Union Cross out and I would be amazed if a good chunk of KH3 wasn't dedicated to letting players know how important it's story is

@@damo Yes indeed that is true, but they aren't hurting in their pockets either they had different games after kh 1-2 that keep them going along with two ports. KH has a huge fan base its pretty damn big. What they did with Union cross was just down right greedy. The games itself forces player to be P2W and whales

i dont think KH3 will answer everything, it will pose a few more questions.. but i do believe that Union X is setting up the future of KH gaming, by meaning the next story arc might just be related to it.... we would need to learn what went on before the reveal of Master of Masters ....maybe the reveal of the new foretellers, since the first foretellers theoratically were eluded to being past carnations of Riku / unicorneus, Kairi/Ava, Aqua/Invi, +Terra/Aced and /Ven+Roxas/Gula (Sora/ probably Luxu) or something....

Crazy theory but what if a secret agenda of having Union Cross players get the starlight keyblade is actually to upload and import our Avatars from our saved games into Kh3? If our character actually does affect the plot in Union X and Union Cross and isn't just a 3rd person perspective that views the actual kingdom hearts story going on in the game or an unnamed anecdote Ephemer might recall at some point , it's possible WE may get a cameo in some of the events that unfold in the ongoing story! I mean, there is a separate KH3 menu built into the app now that allows you to get the downloadable Starlight Keyblade code after using your unique player ID, AND we've seen the generic template of our avatars in Back Cover so surely they have some of the assets converted for console use. Not to mention the epilogue for Kh3 will only be available after the game's release! Yeah probably to prevent leaks but it could also coincide with the January update to the story of Union Cross just a thought since this last update seems to be leading up to a confrontation between a key character in the series and us [since none of the new characters introduced in these "Union" games have directly appeared in the "main" story yet(i,e the foretellers, Luxu, Ephemer and Skuld)], and we are starting to see that some key characters survive [Without noticeably aging!] through from Union to the events of KH3. It would be nice to know our character has an actual purpose in the game and isnt just mindleslly collecting lux in a dream somewhere.

mini-spoiler from the future (not really), but the top 300 UX players do indeed make an ultra-quick appearance in KH3 for a single scene

For whatever reason, Japan is fairly prone to making Western nations wait for various games and shows. Sure, games like The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate are released on the same day world wide, and a fair number of anime like the more recent seasons of Attack on Titan have been airing on Toonami within weeks of their Japanese air date. Heck, Space Dandy technically aired here in the West first. Not to mention that simuldubs are FINALLY becoming a thing. But then, there's the flip side of the coin: -Persona 5 wouldn't be officially released outside of Japan for over half a year, yet Atlus would lose their minds whenever people would post videos of the of the game once it finally did get localized. -Danganronpa V3 wouldn't become available to the rest of the world for well over 8 months. -The BlazBlue franchise has had similar issues with several month long gaps between initial and international releases, but come Central Fiction, instead of learning their lesson, they decided not to provide an English dub (without even notifying the VAs who had been with the franchise since the start) yet STILL made people outside of Japan to receive a copy....Yeah, I never bought my own copy of Central Fiction and ain't planning on doing so unless the upcoming Switch version has English audio as DLC, or they eventually make go back on their decision to not make an Extend version, only with a dub this time around. There are probably tons of other examples that I'm not even thinking or are even aware of, so the fact that they're insisting on dragging their feet with catching people outside of Japan up on what they've already known for a while doesn't surprise me in the least. It doesn't change the fact that I'm still utterly disgusted and completely agree with you that this kind of attitude of making the fans pick up the slack that shouldn't have been an issue in the first place is utterly inexcusable.

Once again good work for an quick summary of the khux story, though it takes a while it has alot of potential. I will say though that for the entire story we have yet to see anyone other than the Player's, Elena's, Strelitzia's, & a random keyblade weilder's Chirithy. to be fair, other than Ephemer and Skuld we've yet to see any Ven, Blain, or Lauriam have a chirithy, but I think its safe to say that Lauriam is not the traitor

Thanks for this mate, getting preped for KH tomorrow and the Marluxia and Larxene somebody reveals in this is pretty useful knowledge I think.

For real though, KHUx is causing me more questions and anxiety than any of the games before this. A while ago, maybe a year or so, I was under the assumption that KHUx took place far in the past. That the Master of master's keyblade had been passed down, at least once to Xehanort. But, freaking all of the important characters are in KHUx. Larxene, Marluxia, etc. Ventus is the most confusing part. Unless he is like 5 years old in KHUx, he will be taken as an apprentice to Master Xehanort very soon, and the beginning of Birth by Sleep will happen. The fact that Ventus is one of the new union leaders would mean that Aqua and Terra are training with Eriquis right now. And Master Xehanort has had his keyblade for a long time, considering how old he is in BBS, but Luxu has it right now? How did Xehanort get it if, based on the characters in KHUx, he would already have to have it? UGH, I do not understand. The timeline seems like it will be impossible to line up. Anyone got good thoughts or theories as to how it will all line up?

I wanna make a video talking about my insane theories soon. Two theories make sense to me right now. One: We're so deep in dreams at this point that the realm of light has basically rebuilt itself while we've slept. Time moves slowly in the realm of darkness, and if we are dreaming thats where we are. So what if we've been dreaming from the moment the keyblade war happened until the modern day that Sora and his friends inhabit. What would happen if Ven woke up, into that modern day, and Elrena and Lauriam were awoken 'soon' after (which would be about ten years time later in realm of light time) Two: This is all a data simulation, it's Ansem the Wise's research data that he's hidden within Sora. It's a simulation thats been run on repeat many, many times. I have clues for both of these things, but they kinda can't both be true at the same time, I'm gonna do my best to explain it in a video

@@damo I look forward to that video haha. I think I have heard you mention the idea of it being Ansem's data before and that would make a lot of sense. There is that scene in the KH3 trailer where Xemnas tells Ansem the wise about "all the children" that were sacrificed "in the name of his research." I almost wonder if there is some of it that is real and some that is based on Ansem's simulations. The original story of the Foretellers, the Master of masters, etc. is based on history, and Ansem ran simulations on repeat, using these data children (or real, though that would be crazy to find out Ansem kidnapped hundreds of real kids!) to search for alternate outcomes. We really don't know too much about what Ansem's experiments were before Xehanort showed up at the castle, but the data he hid in Sora has been important in recent games. Anyway, those are my thoughts in a nutshell. I look forward to seeing what you have to say about it in future vids! Good work with what you do. I love it.

Adter watching the first part and the this one i feel really bad for Marluxia and his sister too. all she wanted was to be friends with your player character but in the end she lost her life for someone she doesn't even know. Well thank you Kingdom Hearts not like replaying everything was heartbreaking enough

Is it weird that I actually find the UX story [on its own] more interesting than the rest of the series?

I do not play KHUX and have no real intention to. That is why is love your videos Damo. BUT, I have theory that will blow your minds: Ventus, is obviously the person who stole the book... or more accurately Vanitas his dark side did. Ventus is accidentally in this world. We are told that this is in the past prior to KH:BBS. However by the end of BBS Ventus is sent into a sleep... a sleep that sends him into a dream world that is in fact KHUX. I still believe that all of this is a dream. We do not have a full understanding of how much time passes while asleep. I think in the end maybe 3% of KH3 will have overlap with KHUX... SO far we know that Ventus, Marluxia, and Chirithy will play some role. We have only little evidence the black box will come into play, but no signs of Luxu, The Master of Masters or really anything else from KHUX.

Andrew John Bennett that‘s an interesting theory which given all the time travelling already going on in the games, I could see this being the case. It would also make sense why Ventus came into the picture after the first keyblade war. Maybe he entered Unchained after Aqua brought him to castle oblivion and he somehow time travelled back into that era after the dandelion leaders sent their members to unchained so they would forget the war. I think you might also be right saying that there will be significant overlap between KH3 and KHUX. Maybe Scala ad caelum is actually a world from KHUX

I have a theory about the person referring to themselves as "the darkness". This will involve SPOILERS for Kingdom Hearts 3. I think the guy calling himself "the Darkness" is Vanitas. He refers to himself as that in Kingdom Hearts 3 after he's defeated. This combined with Ventus being involved leads me to believe this to be the case.

Glad you're continuing with these explained videos. I've played every game except the mobile titles, but I've watched the movies in the bundles, but I hate mobile games. I tried playing UX and even though I found it very charming I keep finding myself falling out of playing it. So thanks a bunch 👍

So, could it be that Ven is there because his heart has time-traveled exactly like Maleficent did? Since his heart is inside Sora, and thus no longer with his body, he could travel like she did, if that is what she is doing. I mean, he looks younger than his version in BbS, but he's not really old enough in BbS to have lived through the ages unless he was either stuck in suspended animation or pushed forwards in time. Just because Ven looks younger, that doesn't mean it is pre-BbS Ven. In the dream world, Sora and Riku looked younger than they were, and the Dandelions are in a dream world, yeah? He could be post-BbS Ven just time-traveling into the past. Great scott, why is this so confusing? =Edit= But wait, cant you only travel in time to a period in which you had existed? So, he couldn't go back to before he was born. Huh, maybe he spent time in the Realm of Darkness where time flows differently and all that, and so survived for thousands of years into the future or however long the break between X and BbS is.

xorterenshe the realm of darkness is a real possibility, or whatever realm they’ve escaped to as dandelions. You know how Kairi and Lea travelled to a place to train where time flowed differently? It could have been something similar (in fact, the hill that kairi and lea sit on looks _suspiciously_ familiar to the hill in KHUX). On another note, you’re right about Ven not being able to time travel to a point in time that he didn’t exist in, so he has to have been from ancient times. However, in my opinion, your reasoning does have big implications for Vanitas. Technically, he may be able to travel back in time as Ventus existed in the past, so it is within his timeline. We also know that you don’t need a body to go into if you just wanna walk around in a robe like Ansem SoD did when he time travelled. I don’t know if that’s the route Nomura will take, but I don’t think we’ve seen the end of Vanitas

Awesome. I've been having difficulty keeping track of UX since I tend to take breaks that last a few months and often forget everything about where I was and what I was doing. Shockingly, though I'm keeping on top of current content, I haven't even spent a dime on this game. I've exclusively used the absurdly huge gem bonuses they give you whenever the servers go down or whatever. Leaving the game and coming back after a few months nets you a surprisingly large amount of gems, so I've never really needed to spend much.

okay i finished the video, i am freaking out. what is the localization teams problem?! why do they keep pushing out events but only bother updating the story by 5 quests at a time once every 5749657596 years???? ugh, so annoying. looks like i'm going to have to start watching everglow's translation videos since we clearly can't count on the actual translation team of the game to do the most important part of their job quota.

@@canariawing If you think that's bad us FGO NA players are 2 years behind the JP server, we don't have a set amount of time between story chapters, the gacha rates are absolute shit, and the localization team has a laundry list of issues. You have it good compared to us

Thanks again for these videos it is really weird they don't push these out before people play KH3 they'll be so lost without watching these. This also gives me a hope we could see a version of Kingdom Heats with Custom characters like Mass Effect and Dragon Age I would love to see that.

So Luxord and Water Boy are the only ones that we have yet to see their Somebody.

This is why it’s so frustrating being a part of Global, being left in the dark waiting so long to catch up to JP storyline wise. All they care about is banner banner and more banners and needing to pay jewels to obtain those newer medals, neglecting what made KHuX so popular back in 2016/17/mid-2018, then it went badly downhill. It’s all in fear of us getting some decent amount of jewels outside of dailies/paying for VIP/minor story updates. Why we are so far behind due to translations is complete BS! SENA/The main people for KHuX Global version it’s all YOUR FAULT!

A real important question is when and how and where did larxene and marluxia become nobodies. They also were not seen to return to their human forms like the other members of organization 13. Meaning they became nobodies afterwards and in a different location then radiant garden. So I'd really like to see union X show that soon. Especially if it happened in the sleeping worlds. Side note kh has really become about the money over time. I was really hoping the series would see a proper conclusion with the third game especially after 10 years of wait. This phone game needs to wrap up so the series can be put to bed

On the remark you made on the dream world's data worlds being the same as re:Coded's data worlds: The data worlds from re:Coded were based off of the SDG trio's adventures in Kingdom Hearts 1. I think you mentioned in the previous video that the worlds visited before the Keyblade war were also holograms based on the worlds that existed after the Keyblade War (I could be wrong). If that is the case, then (some of) the dream world's data worlds could be considered to be the same as the data worlds from Jiminy's journal in a roundabout way. Dandelions' Dream World worlds = simulations of worlds explored before the Keyblade War = simulations of worlds existent after the Keyblade War = the worlds visited in BBS and KH1 = the data worlds from Jiminy's Journal.

I have to say I thought Coded/Re:Coded would have no significance in the overall plot but first Malifacent teases the data world in DDD and now all this data talk union KHUx? Makes me want to know to how far KH3 will go with the Data world.

Ven is surprised, almost as if he hasn't read his rule book... Because he has the book of prophecies, NOT THE RULE BOOK OH MY GOD!!!! Edit: I know who the traitor is .. oh my god. I never would have expected that. Not Her.

(Only reiterating back from the previously made video, but its still a point to bring out) It is *_still_* unsettling that the *entire* Keyblade War was fought by _children._ Children who had previously been allies, friends and quite possibly family members with each other. Divided by unions or by whatever Foreteller they followed, and they slew each other in a single battle that ended with barely anyone left alive, including the character we make and play as.

So 3 will have been out LONG before we find out what's actually going on in this game. That's a bit irritating.

Since Luxord and Demyx were recruited for the same reason as Marluxia and Larxerne I assume that they will also be revealed later in this story.

i have just found your videos after playing KH3 and its clearing up some questions I had, but this series is quickly becoming as convoluted as Lost, which is not what we wanna see.

I'm really wondering at this point if it is simply as petty a reason as they don't want to give us too many free jewels all at once. I've been saying for months, if they had just given us two updates a month since the Dandelion meeting this would have been a non issue. My only remaining shred of hope is that they'll give them all to us before KH3 releases, or else like I say in this video we won't be meeting Elrena until June, and who knows where the story will have moved to by then

@@damo Yeah, I was thinking about the jewels too, but I think its simply lazyness or not enought time to take care of certain things. JP is getting every few weeks banners or quests global players don't get. Like the 2-Pull banner for the new year. I just wonder what might be the reason we dont get stuff like that. The main reason might be that these are seperate games for each language. It would all be so easy if they would merge the games and let players choose the location and language. Im interested how often we get community streams from SENA this year because they promissed more for 2019. I expect streams and/or events for KH3 release, The Lion King, Aladin, Dumbo, Toy Story 4 and Frozen 2. And what is with that new world they were talking about since month...

I would like to think Emyd (almost pronounced like Emitt) for Demyx.

Watching this after finishing KH3. *SPOILERS* for those you haven't played yet. KHUx really is significant to the future story of the kingdom hearts. Xemnas revealed the reasons he choose #9-12 (Demyx, Luxord, Marluxia, Larxene) is that they are deeply connected to "the ancient Keyblade legacy" which most likely is the KHUx timeline. so since Maluxia and Larxene are confirmed to be part of KHUx its only natural to think the Demyx and Luxord will also show up as their former selves in the KHUx, whether as Dandelions or another form of NPCs (Demyx's age seems similar to Larxene but Luxord appears to be a middle aged gentlemen so I doubt he will be a Union/Dandelion member). Never played KHUx so I might be wrong on some of this. I'm thankful for the summaries you provide. KH3 left more question than answer . I doubt that Nomura had a vision for the ending when he started KH1. Its always hard to complete a series when starting the story form the beginning. one must always think of the ending first and work back to make the content. which I understand why Nomura concluded the Xehanort saga that way.

It kills me that we probably won't get the answers to all of our questions in the last update before KH3 or in KH3 itself - I think they'll continue dragging this out in the mobile game as long as possible. It's a shame because this story is really good, but after pushing through hundreds of pointless, repetitive missions, it just wasn't worth it to play this game anymore. These seem like pretty important plot points, but even fans who have played every console and handheld game won't understand certain things in KH3 unless they look up these videos like we have. That seems unfair.

the wait honestly kills me for more quests as this (atleast in my opinon) is the best story telling that kingdom hearts has right now (shame its on mobile) but i do hope once the story is finished over here it can explain alot of mysterious that have happened in the future

I'm thinking that vanitas time travel to this new timeline, killed her and gave the book to ventus. Ven doesn't really seem like he knows what's going on. Also in KH3 he kept calling him self darkness and that's the name of the one who talked to maleficent when she traveled back in time

Ventus is definitely the traitor. There have been wayy too many red flags popping up. It makes sense as well, Why else would vanitas be so powerful. Sure Ventus in BBS is all innocent and sweet but the Ventus in UX makes me feel suspicious, almost slimy...

I wonder how Luxord and Demyx will fit into this. Theres that one KH3 scene where Xemnas says Marluxia, Larxene, Demyx and Luxord have secret ancient keyblade legacy that slumbers within them. I cant wait to know how that will play out.

Nice work. I don't like to spoil myself for stuff like this but I'm still only at the part where the player meets Goofy and Donald when they crash their Gummi Ship.

I’m literally watching this while waiting for the countdown to download KH3. 35 minutes to go till I can see the game of my childhood come to its conclusion.

So wait, is this stuff happening like months before Birth By Sleep or is this still way in the past, because neither makes sense because the age of fairy tales must have happened a long ass time ago for it to be ancient history and intrigue Xehanort, but Ventus, Lauriam, and Elrena all point to it being like right before BBS, so.... What the hell? When does this take place? I'm so lost!

This is so confusing. I think it was said that eventually all Nobodies disappear. So... when Malruxia and Larxene were created? It has to be before KH1 but after BbS (since some of the future members of Organization are in Radiant Garden at this point). This fact, along with appearance of Ven as one of the leaders, raises the question: when do events of KHUx take place?

This is what I'm wondering as, even though the game takes place in this dream reality now, isn't it still taking place at the same time period, which would place it very recently after the keyblade war? If it is, how are all these present time characters here? The malificent thing I need someone to explain how she got there and everything to do with that subject. From what I understand, she traveled from Coded (or after, idk) to the past and is now stuck in the past, but then how is she in KH3?? Someone please explain this malificent thing to me. I've been seeing people saying that time in the realm of sleep works similarly to time in the realm of darkness, which would mean days in sleep could count as years in the realm of light. This could mean Ventus got there through his comatose state or something. This still wouldn't explain how Laurium and Elrena are there tho. One last thing, Ven seems very suspicious, making him look like Strelitzia's killer. If this is current day Ven who is comatose, why would he do it? He doesn't have any darkness in him so I wouldn't think him capable of such thing? I've seen some people say it's Vanitas posing as Ven, but I don't see how that'd be possible (how would he enter this realm). Tl;dr - One day in sleep realm equals one year in reality, Ven enters through his comatose state, Ven looks like a murderer, what's up with Malificent, how are Laurium and Elrena here
