The French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars in Flags: Every Other Day

Ойын-сауық

This video shows the French Revolutionary Wars and Napoleonic Wars in flags, every other day, from 20 April, 1792 to 20 November, 1815.
Notes:
Flags without a specific date as to when they were adopted are assumed to be 1 January of that year.
The British occupation of Sardinia should've ended earlier than what was shown
Wrong Lucca flag
Helvetic and Batavian Republics shown for too long, should be Kingdom of Holland and the Swiss Confederation
Free City of Danzig should've been seperate from the Duchy of Warsaw

Napoleon was just a dictator nationalistic tyrant, who was born in a noble family that used the brutal revolution that killed many within France because "monarchy bad". @@anto-sk4ce Britain's monarchy had little to no power during the Napoleonic wars. Everything went through Parliament. Britain was so impressive because it managed to have a revolution without abolishing the monarchy and without bloodshed. America did get their revolution through warfare, aided by France (which probably helped encourage revolt within France). France was absolutist though. Napoleon was an Absolute Monarch, everything he said was certain. Though I suppose he was more of a militaristic dictator. Napoleon was impressive and a tactical mastermind, but in reality that doesn't make him good or his cause good. Because he tried to turn Europe into Greater France.

Good Simulation. There are minor mistakes I want to point out: War of the Second Coalition: 1. Great Britain invaded the Spanish island of Menorca on November 7-15, 1798 and should be shaded the flag of Great Britain until the Treaty of Amiens in 1802. 2. From June 20, 1799, the Piedmontese Republic ceased to exist when it was conquered by Austro-Russian troops immediately after the Battle of Trebbia (1799) and the capture of Turin. It should be shaded under Austria flag. Exactly a year later, after the Battle of Marengo, it should renamed the Subalpine Republic. War of the Sixth Coalition: 1. Prussia signed the Convention of Tauroggen with the Russians on December 30, 1812, so Prussia should be grey in color from that date. 2. Austria signed an armistice with the Russians on January 30, 1813, and Austria should turn grey from that date. 3. Although Sweden entered into an alliance with the United Kingdom on March 3, 1813, it did not declare war until March 24, 1813, so it should be in grey in color until that date. 4. From January 14, 1814, Denmark should be on the side of the Coalition after signing the Trety of Kiel with the United Kingdom, while Norway joins Sweden, and Swedish Pomeranian should be assigned to Denmark. It should have Union of Norway and Sweden flag from that date.

fun fact, before joining France, Denmark was neutral and wanted to stay that way, they joined the French side after the Brits bombed Copenhagen without declaring war, the British after bombing our capital took our ships, they did that bc they where afraid it would fall into France hands, in Denmark its counted as the first terrorist attack in Europe, after the war Denmark got punished and Norway was given to Sweden, cuz how DARE Denmark join France.... I wonder why. (Edit for some extra fun info) after the Napoleonic war Denmark has to war with Prussia (Prussia is the predecessor state to Germany) and Austria, the wars where fought for two duchies called Slesvig-Holsten (Danish name) some of this land is part of modern day Denmark, losing all of this land in a span of less then 100 years literally gave our country and culture trauma, we literally got cultural trauma from it lol.

He thought and said the campaign would be done in 3 months and everyone would get back home soon. One big win as usual and done. The Russian army fled and that's why he got to moscow

    - Tell me, uncle, it's not for nothing Moscow burned by fire given to the French? After all, there were fighting battles, Yes, they say, what else! No wonder the whole of Russia remembers About the day of Borodin! - Yes, there were people in our time, Not like the current tribe: Bogatyrs are not you! They got a bad share: Few returned from the field ... Do not be the Lord's will, They wouldn't give up Moscow! We retreated silently for a long time, It was annoying, they were waiting for the battle, The old people grumbled: “What are we? for winter quarters? Do not dare, or something, commanders Aliens tear up their uniforms About Russian bayonets? And here we found a large field: There is a roam where at will! They built a redoubt. Our ears are on top! A little morning lit up the guns And forests blue tops - The French are right here. I scored a charge in the cannon tight And I thought: I will treat a friend! Wait a minute, brother Musyu! What is there to be cunning, perhaps for battle; We will go to break the wall, Let's keep our heads up For your homeland! For two days we were in a skirmish. What's the use of such nonsense? We waited the third day. Everywhere speeches began to be heard: "Time to get to the buckshot!" And here on the field of a formidable battle The night shadow fell. I lay down to take a nap at the gun carriage, And it was heard before dawn, How the French rejoiced. But our open bivouac was quiet: Who cleaned the shako all battered, Who sharpened the bayonet, grumbling angrily, Biting a long mustache. And the sky just lit up Everything suddenly stirred, The formation flashed behind the formation. Our colonel was born with a grip: Servant to the king, father to the soldiers... Yes, sorry for him: struck by damask steel, He sleeps in the damp earth. And he said, his eyes sparkling: "Guys! Isn't Moscow behind us? Let's die near Moscow How our brothers died!” And we promised to die And the oath of allegiance was kept We are in the battle of Borodino. Well, it was a day! Through the flying smoke The French moved like clouds And all to our redoubt. Lancers with colorful badges, Dragoons with ponytails All flashed before us Everyone has been here. You will not see such battles! Worn banners like shadows Fire gleamed in the smoke Damask steel sounded, buckshot screeched, The hand of the fighters is tired of stabbing, And prevented the nuclei from flying A mountain of bloody bodies. The enemy knew a lot that day, What does the Russian fight remote mean, Our hand-to-hand combat! The earth shook like our breasts; Mixed in a bunch of horses, people, And the volleys of a thousand guns Merged into a long howl ... Here it is dark. Were all ready In the morning start a new fight And stand until the end... Here the drums crackle - And the basurmans retreated. Then we began to count the wounds, Count comrades. Yes, there were people in our time, Mighty, dashing tribe: Bogatyrs are not you. They got a bad share: Few returned from the field. If it weren't for God's will, They wouldn't give up Moscow!
