It needs a torque converter. That would really help with the take off + you can change the gearing to make it a little quicker

For about $75 you could swap the clutch/pully system to a torque converter, it’s a direct swap using your jack shaft .

if you did a governor delete on that got a stage 1 kit and a torque converter, you could be going 40mph.

Maybe get some bigger or wider tires with good tread and you will have really good controll than getting the same tires that seem kinda plain i guess you could say.

Great video. My 12 yr old son and his grandfather are working on getting a go kart moving. It has the exact same frame and layout as yours. They have a new Predator 224 cc engine. Where did you get the clutch? What size is the red belt you added? What do you call the 2 pulley that attaches the red belt to the clutch? Any advise is appreciated.

how long has it been that u started the naskart?

Put a big engine in it and try make it into a bit of a drift machine. That’s not been done on KZread before so it’s unique which = A lot of views 👌🏼👌🏼

Now turn it into a drift trike!

I have the same kind of go kart they HATE turning mine is 20 years old and has had a good life my dad broke the steering when it was bad enough

Do you know where to get the pulley or details on that piece? My son is building this exact go kart with this grandfather. I can find the clutch, but not luck on the pulley piece that connects to the drive shaff.
