I was the Sound Engineer and Production Manager for the Temptations Reunion Tour when David Ruffin and Eddie Kendricks rejoined the Group so there was 7 Temptations on Stage every night and the Tour was a Great Success for the Temptations and the Tour had finished just before the Motown "25" TV Special was filmed in Los Angeles. The segment with the Battle of the Hits between The Temptations and The Four Tops was so popular that a Motown "25" Tour was put together and a few months later We went to Portland for 2 weeks of rehearsal and a couples of Concerts in Portland to make sure that everything was going to run smooth and then We went to Los Angeles for the debut of the Tour in front of the Motown Record Executives and the Media. The kickoff got so much Media coverage that all of the Tickets for the 10 Month long Tour were Sold Out in 2 Weeks and the Concerts were going really well and within a few weeks the U.S. Tour that was supposed to last 10 Months turned into a World Tour that was growing every couple of weeks with added Concerts in more Countries. Well the Tour went so well that it just kept going 4 Years straight and then We finally took a Well Deserved Break for 3 Months and then the Tour resumed and We headed out on another World Tour and the Temptations and the Four Tops Toured together for a least 9 Months every year for 10 Years and I had a Great Time with them during the 10 Years and when there was a break in the Tour I stayed with the Four Tops because their Manager Ron Strasner was a Great Guy and He always had something going on for them. Levi Stubbs the Lead Singer of the Four Tops did the Voice of Audra II, the Talking Man Eating Plant in the very successful Movie " The Little Shop of Horrors " and in 1988 The Four Tops recorded the Theme Song for Phil Collins Movie "Buster" which was a big hit in Europe, the Song written by Phil Collins was " Loco In Acapulco " and The Four Tops did a 3 Month European Tour in support of the Movie and Phil Collins was the Opening Act for The Four Tops and I was the Sound Engineer for Phil Collins and the Four Tops during the Tour. The Entire Tour was Sold Out a Month before the first Concert in London. We did 12 Nights at the Hammersmith Odeon Theater in a Row and it was One Hell of a way to Kickoff a European Tour, We played 28 days out of the first 30 days of the Tour in the U.K. before going to France and Germany and then on to Spain and Finally back to London for 14 more Concerts at Hammersmith Odeon Theater for a total of 30 Concerts during the 22 Nights in London and then We headed Home. I was So Burnt Out that I gave My notice and said Goodbye to everybody after 10 Years of working for the Four Tops. I took 6 Months off and went Camping so deep in the Mountains of the Cherokee National Forest that I did not see anybody except for My Wife for 3 weeks and it gave Me time to think about what's next ? I wanted to have some control over when...where...how long I had to be On the Road every year. So after some planning I started Stage Tech Audio & Lighting in March 1991 and after spending a little over $85,000 in 3 weeks buying Audio Equipment to get the Company started, I was offered a job at a Recording Studio in Atlanta as an Engineer and as the Studio Manager so I took the job so I could have a paycheck coming in while I was working on building My business especially since I had a couple of months of work to do before I could even think about doing a Sound Gig and I needed to find a couple of freelance Audio Guys to take with Me to do a Gig, a 3 Man Crew is the minimum a House Engineer, a Monitor Engineer and a Guy to work the Stage during the show. I ended up working at the Studio for 4 years while I grew the company and I've been in business for almost 30 years and have invested around $250,000 into the Company since 1991. This pandemic Sucks because it is killing people and there are not any Concerts on the radar until next Spring or Summer at the earliest if everything goes well. Everybody Please Stay Safe and Crank Up the Music Really Loud and Piss Off Your Neighbors. Peace & Good Health to All and Keep the Music Playing !!! Keith

When I was a kid, my dad taped this on t.v. and showed it to me when I was like 5. I loved every bit of it. My dad was a big Temptations fan, and so at the time since it's a competition you know, we were saying "Oh the Temptations won it hands down!!!" but I remember, even as a little kid, thinking that the guy that sang for the four Tops seemed like such a cool guy. I've of course gotten more into both bands as time went on, and I have to say that I don't think anybody enjoyed performing, and singing, more than Levi Stubbs. I've never, ever seen a performance of him where he wasn't grinning from ear to ear the entire time he's singing, even if it's a sad song! The guy was made to sing, had an amazing voice, and was probably one of the coolest cats ever in the music industry. Such a shame that he doesn't get more recognition. We should be naming entire cities after that guy.

MANY, MANY, MEMORIES. THIS CAN NEVER BE REPEATED. IT WOULD TAKE A LOT OF WORK AND CREATIVITY TO RE CREATE AN EVENT LIKE THIS ON THIS SCALE. ANYWAY SOME OF THE GREATEST VOICES OF THESE GROUPS ARE NO LONGER WITH US. THE WONDERFUL MUSIC 🎶 🎵 🎶 🎵 🎶 OF YESTERYEAR REMAINS IN THE HEART AND SOUL AND WE MAKE IT WHAT WE WANT, TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT. MUSIC THIS BRILLIANT WILL NEVER FADE INTO OBLIVION AS THERE IS A HUGE DEMAND FOR IT. THIS IS MY ERA OF MUSIC AND THE GENRE THAT KEPT US DANCING AND SINGING HAPPINESS, LOVE, AND JOY. MISS THOSE MOMENTS OF PURE JOY. NEVER FORGOTTEN PERIOD. 🎼🎵🎶🎼🎵🎶🎼🎵🎶🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤🕺💃🕺💃🕺💃🕺💃🕺🕺🎼🎵🎶🎼🎵🎶🎼🎵🎶🎤🎤🎤

There's only 2 duets that also reach how brilliant this is - and those 2 are the Jackie Wilson and Sam Cooke "Cha Cha Cha" duet and the "Rock'n'Roll medley" duet between Tom Jones and Little Richard!

Ron Tyson did a great job with this performance! Glenn was supposed to be on this, but he left at the group at the last minute so Ron had to learn all the steps and harmonies for this performance as a new temptation member
