I didn't realize that Victoria was close to her half sister. Thanks for bringing history alive for your subscribers and fans.

She had a sister and brother from her mom's first marriage. She was her father's only child
Very different Feodora than the Feodora portrayed in the BBC series "Victoria"! I'm happy she was.

that's a disgrace! annoying woke "girlboss" show
Interesting topic but the pronunciation of some words is shocking. The narrator also needs to work on adding some emotion as it sounds awfully monotone.
You would think that a British narrator would know the proper way to pronounce the word “Dowager” and know that Edward was a Duke, not a Duchess. You also mispronounced “Ernst”.
Her sister's granddaughter married Queen Victoria's grandson, Kaiser Wilhelm II... The Kaiser & his wife were 2nd cousins...
She married the Duke, not Duchess, of Kent. Feodora was the grandmother (through her daughter Adelheid) of Augusta Victoria of Schleswig-Holstein, wife of Kaiser Wilhelm II and last German Empress. Enjoyable video.

@@raeelsley2984 No; Victoria's eldest child was Princess Victoria , Princess Royal - later Empress Frederick, the mother of Kaiser Wilhelm II.

Yes you are right I’ve got lost with my Victoria’s
How have I never heard of her? Great job!
Queen Victoria was as only child of the Duchess and Duke of Kent she was eight month's old when her father died she did have a half sister and half brother
Very interesting thankyou!
Baravia or Bavaria?
Why only say Ernst I? It should be Ernst I, Prince of Hohenlohe-Langenburg.
I knew her mum had children prior and forgot about them
Very interesting, I did not know all this information about this lady.
I thought she was an only child, which is why she became the heir lol wow.

Fedora was a half sister, her mum's child from first marriage, therefore nothing to do with the rf.

She was the only child of the Duke of Kent, and that's what counted in the race for the British throne.

Victoria had a half sister and brother from her mother's first marriage. They could not inherit the throne of England because they were born in Germany.
What a shock, I didn't know this.

A sister and brother.
She was born in Bavaria, not Barivia.

Once I’ve come across such a careless mispronunciation in a KZread history or geography video, I simply stop watching the rest of it because I feel that there is no guarantee that there won’t be any other mistakes of a more serious nature. In this case, the voice is clearly not a robot. Besides, Bavaria is not exactly an unknown part of this world!
She was born in Bavaria
Why use AI to read this information. If this is not a computer speaking then WHY read DOWAGER as DOUGHager. Dow as in Cow NOT DoH as in PASTRY Dough. . fOR GOODNESS SAKE LEARN PRONUNICIATION OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE. or correct your computer programme.

AI? This is a person reading a script, not a computer program. There is no need to be rude just because someone made a mistake in pronunciation.
I also had no knowledge of Victoria's sister. So much important history has been hidden (buried) thanks to the peculiarities of silly, selfish Victoria's rigidity and failure as a good mother. Australian students are taught Chinese and other Asian languages which will rarely, if ever, be required, except to eavesdrop on tourists). No longer are students taught our true history, our heritage, or anything of Australia's birth heritage - our Aboriginals.

Feodora could have been queen instead of Victoria except for one thing she was born in Germany from a different father.

No. Feodora had a different father. Queeb victorias father was the son of king george III.

there is no law that states you must be born in the UK to be monarch. Fedora and her brother are from Victoria of Saxe-Coburg and Saalfield's first marriage so they were not part of the British Royal Family and thus did not have a claim to the throne
@LJB103
Жыл бұрын
@@pedanticradiator1491 No, but you do need to be a direct member of the royal family, not a step-child or married into the family. There were no Catherine the Greats in Britain.

Nope not true! They had different fathers. Queen Victoria was a graddaughter of King George III and the next in line to the throne after the death of her uncle, King William IV. Feodora did not have a direct claim to the throne. She could never have been the Queen of the UK.
