    Then there is the Ford Ecoboost one litre 3 cylinder engine. A huge turbo and wet toothed rubber drive belts for camshafts and oil pump, which shed teeth and block oil-ways.

    I have a 2013 Fiesta 1.0 ecoboost with the 6 speed powershift transmission with 150.000km on it .i did have the wetbelt swapped at the beginning of this year and the old wetbelt was not to bad but definitely needed to be swapped and the oil pump had a collection of dirt stuck to it but it was not catastrophic .my transmission shift's fine but it's making a lot of noises like scraping noises and like a clack sound sometimes while shifting witch will most likely be the shift forks starting to stick and some kind of bearing being damage so I'm crossing my fingers if i have the clutch swapped and some other bits swapped hopefully it should solve that problem .so I can't complain to much it has been doing its job good so far

    Ah yeah nearly forgot that turbo is actually really small i think my fist is the same size 😂

    Mark V vw? That V is roman numeral for 5..so its a mark 5 not mark v

    Every manual transmission I ever owned (a lot of them) would all exhibit clutch chatter from time to time, usually due to humidity / moisture and temperature and stuff. It did not surprise me that a dry clutch system would exhibit the same issue if automatically actuated. Any engineer responsible for pushing this design out the door has probably never driven a manual transmission.

    If Hyundai can make DCTs work, why can't Ford? They have been in the car making game longer than anybody. Doesn't make sense. Ford is just in too much of a hurry to push product to market even if it's not ready.

    My VW GTI has a DCT that is the best trans I have ever had. Sell your Ford and buy a VW
