This is a 2008 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Adrenalin and it's an Explorer with a pickup truck bed. Combining an SUV with a pickup truck was a fad in the early 2000s and the Sport Trac was the best version available. We are thrilled to be offering this Sport Trac for sale on CARS & BIDS!! Today I'm reviewing this Ford Explorer Sport Trac and I'll show you all the many quirks and features. I'll also get behind the wheel and review the driving experience.

So his repeat explanations of certain features are for new viewers who ended up getting grabbed by the algorithm and randomly found themselves watching a Doug DeMuro video for the first time today or 30 years from now or anywhere in between or beyond.

Dad had a silver '03 back in the day! Took us all over the eastern seaboard of US/Canada. 3 kids and a puppy in the back and hauling a pop-up camper. Numerous Scout camp trips as well. Then after the taurus wagon was sold (had the 24v dohc engine!), it became our family hauler. First time driving was that truck. I don't really miss it, I have the door code burned into my memory still (why this isn't a ubiquitous feature is beyond me) but I'm grateful for what it was, when we had it. One quirk I was surprised you didn't mention: The Adrenalin trim level had AWD as an option, but it actually uses the same automatic 4x4 transfer case as the normal Explorer, just missing the buttons to control it. Since these are so rare, I get attention everywhere we go, it is a stand out classic. I just turned 57,000 miles, never seen snow or salt, adult driven, no smoke and pristine inside and out. To bad I can't attach a picture, it is a real eye catcher. Also, when I found mine back in 2014, I couldn't understand why so many Sport Tracs had high mileage, let me tell you these Sport Tracs are solid/quiet/fun/extremely comfortable to drive. For the specs of my Adrenalin, it has all wheel drive, independent 4 wheel suspension with power disc brakes all around. The finishing touch is the Magna Flow exhaust. That's my story and I'm holding to it. :)

Then my dad had a 2005 Buick Allure (LaCrosse in the US I think) that had green backlighting on the gauges with white needles, I always thought that looked pretty sharp and unusual. When gauge clusters started being manufactured to have permanent backlighting that's when they all started looking the same. White text on black background with either white or red needles. BORING.
