Norimaro was made as a joke character based on the Japanese comedian noritake kanishi. He's a joke character in the same sense that Anita and Dan are joke characters and not to be taken seriously. Capcom didn't hate the character not the comedian he was referenced from .

Yeah. Capcom didn't hate the character, but Marvel did (as said on the video). But they most likely changed their mind about this concept since they added Phoenix Wright in UMvC3.

I still remember a late friend (RIP) who told me this secret character and I was like, naaaah. Then we went to the arcade and someone actually used him. I was like WTF??? Good times.

Yeah. I played as Norimaro so much with my friends to troll them. He's easily one of the funniest characters in a fighting game.

I asked when I knew the collection dropped if Nori would be in XvSF I loved this character.

I think they should, He looks just as chaotic as the games themselves so He'd fit in. I can understand them not wanting to, due the legal spaghetti for a character not many people outside the MVC and some parts of the Gaming community know about. But I still wanna see him be included back in, plus it would help even more with Preservation purposes.

Thanks for watching the video. Yeah. I have the game when I was a kid and I played as Norimaro just to troll with my friends. I agree that it’ll be great for preservation if we can have him there in the collection.

"HYPER STRONG MIRACLE TREASURE!"... "ULTRA VARIETY PRIVATE MEMORIES!" 🤣 I haven't even watched most of the video yet, but those are burned into my mind from play the Sega Saturn import of MSH VS SF. EDIT: Finished watching the video. I had heard that he probably won't be in the upcoming collection, as stated here. I'm not entirely surprised given the rights issues, but it would be nice if he did. Since these Capcom collections tend to include the option to switch between the US and Japan versions of the games, it would be nice if he would be in the Japan version.

Yeah. I saw on MaxDood’s video that the collection supposedly have both US and Japanese ROMS so fingers crossed that they were able to sort it out. I know it’s wishful thinking but I’m just hopeful. :)

I don't see why Marvel are offended by a joke character fighting against their heroes. Some of their own heroes these days are even bigger jokes. Like She Hulk from that TV show and the characters from the recent Children of the Atom comic.

Well it looks like they changed their mind about this since we had Phoenix Wright in UMvC3. Let’s hope that they continue to be open on things like this.
