Thawns a speedster too so if Barry was in flashtime, thane wouldn’t be froze. Barry had the help of the speed force and other forces which allowed him to essentially get probably 5 times as fast as he usually is or goes. As far as letting him go, who knows why, we will find out in season 8

Thawne's statement was wrong. Zoom/fake jay Garrick taught Barry many things, along with some others. so he didn't taught everything Barry knew.

They really should have made this scene longer. Thawnes ego blinding him to the truth and Barry humiliating him over and over.

He’s faster, but godspeed held his own against both at once.

I hope August gets a redemption arc by fighting his original mind so that his sane personality takes permanent control and uses his powers for good like the comics. I can tell while he juiced up his organic speed, the Heart who said he enjoyed his old self was not the same guy before he got his boost. I loved how he was a villain. But I want to see him go to the anti hero path like the comics did.

I know this isn’t the most awesome way to portray it but I’m glad In season 7 they were adding speed force constructs. It could’ve used a little more context but I still love the idea regardless

well since they both of them have speedforce they were able to create a saber with lighting with giving right amount of energy to hold

Even though this season was my least favorite season of the Flash and my second least favorite season of the Arrowverse altogether, I just love the Reverse-Flash. The performance of the actors, both Cavanagh and Letscher, always makes the show more interesting. He also has no restraint, which allows the show to push past the dumb rule of redeeming every new villain and not killing anyone anymore.

Barry just let’s these villains run away, knowing they’ll do more terrible things, and he just…does Jack shit about it until he has to. It’s frustrating and ruins rewatch ability.

This scene drives me up the wall. If there is that much speed difference between Barry and Thawne then either Thawne is so slow he is useless against Godspeed or Barry is so fast that he could take on Godspeed without needing any help from Thawne.
