I think the movie was entertaining. Perhaps you guys just like the dark dc and not a funny one. The fact that fight zod was a no win situation is needed for Barry growth and journey. To make the choice that he needs to do and not the one he wants.

I actually loved that they couldn't beat Zod... canonically Superman was only able to beat Zod because he spent enough time on earth to perfect the use of his powers. Zor had superior numbers and tech, but they were disadvantaged due to their presence in such an "alien" environment. I've seen the director say that the images Barry see's wasn't supposed to be "real" but a projection of things from his mind...but it doesn't excuse things like the babies and the weird CGI faces at times. Storywise I liked it and had a good time. Not perfect, but a great time nonetheless.

We can all agree that it's not entirely his fault - as well as DC's - for The Flash being mediocre, despite what people say about how bad it is. It's still a good movie, just not good enough to satisfy anyone. It is Warner Bros that's responsible for the garbage we've been getting in the last decade ever since Man of Steel and Batman v Superman weren't given a chance to flesh out the Snyderverse more.

It was still jarring to me. I could’ve went without putting so many babies or rather any babies in harm’s way. It’s like this movie hates babies cause even at one point they killed an infant off screen (Superman) when they mention that his pod didn’t make it & the infant didn’t make it, therefore he died. Realistically those babies in the opening scene wouldn’t have survived either because newborns have stuff necks & can snap easily.

It would make a lot more sense as an intentional choice if they didn't show you a bunch of Twilight-esque terrifying babies getting put into microwaves while Barry does video game style limb contortion in slow motion not long beforehand. There's nothing particularly realistic about how they portray normal reality, they really could've handled that better.

@@LatetotheParty I get it, I saw this movie and was disappointed. But just personally I don't let cgi take me out a movie. There's a lot more in this that took me out of it than the cgi. The tone. They truncated Supergirl's story. The future Flash being an interesting villain but barely in the movie. Why is Iris in this movie at al if they don't do anything with her? What's the point of this movie at all really? Is he now in a universe where Mr. Freeze existed? Keaton/Kilmer/Clooney are supposedly the same universe cause they all had the same Alfred and same James Gordon. And Kilmer and Clooney both had the same Robin. None of this makes any logical sense. But just in my mind, I stopped coming out of movies and saying, "Well, that looked fake" cause it's all fake. It doesn't even have to look good, if the movies good. Snyder's JL was cgi fest with imo, cartoony cgi but I indeed loved it too cause it was actually a good movie to me so it didn't bother me.

Fair review. I really liked the film because of the way it brought the entire DCEU, and some other DC properties, together for a final goodbye while telling a fairly grounded, emotional story for Barry Allen. The directing was very creative and the acting fantastic. It's got the fan service while never loosing track of the heart of the story. The humor was overdone in some spots, but I liked the awkwardness and willingness to go all out in the portrayal of Barry's overwhelming lifestyle, be it through his inner chaos or his demanding physical condition. I also loved how the movie linked Keaton's Batman with Affleck's through some clever visual cues and the way they related to Barry's torment and loneliness. Both of their individual action sequences were fantastic. I totally buy Sasha Calle as Henry Cavill's cousin as well. Only real gripes I had with it were some of the CGI choices, the needle drops and the writing at key spots. I felt like there was missing context for both Keaton and Supergirl. I wanted the film to flesh out their corners in this new alternate universe more so that their deaths hit harder. The film also retcons some of its own multiversal rules to fit the thematic play and extra bits of fan service, which made the movie feel slightly disingenuous. 7/10 for me. Really liked the character work, and the story had the entertainment value, emotional beats and the relevant themes I expected. It just needed further polishing.

Now his grandson is four seeing grandpa in the batsuit. Another thing when they showed him what the scene was going to be on an iPad he jumped on the counter to watch it and Ezra’s double offered to help him down and he just jumped down. So yeah Keaton loved coming back. They also almost didn’t do this movie if they couldn’t sign Keaton on. 44:00 Nicolas Cage is credited as being in this movie so he would be paid depending on the contract. 54:18 an interesting fact about Michael Shannon he wasn’t going to reprise his role after Snyders exit from the film but Snyder gave him his blessings to do the movie. Also Michael Keaton’s performance as Batman in this makes him the oldest person to play Batman in live action at age 71. I believe Adam West holds the record in the animated series at 88.

Mark 32:22. Have you ever noticed how rarely anyone says, "I'm not an Earthling!"? More often than not they say "Human", and that begs the question of what do they call themselves on their respective native planets? 🤔 In "The Elder Scrolls" universe, Planet Nirn has several sentient species. I don't recall anyone referring to each other or to himself or herself as being a "Nirnian" or a "Nirner", et cetera. 🤔 But here on Planet Earth, we have several monikers for ourselves. But when we create fictional races, we tend to give them a single moniker. Exceptions would be, "Vulcan" and "Vulcanoid". "Time Lord/Lady" and "Gallifreyan". "White Martian" and "Green Martian". 🤔

My personal minitheory/headcanon on why Barry runs so stupidly/weirdly is that he purposely runs in a strange way so that he can still run at a normal speed. Like if Barry runs normally when using super speed then he might accidentally use his speed when he just wants to run normally at a normal speed. By only using speed when he’s running in a weird way he basically makes a separation in his mind that running normally = regular human speed and running weirdly = super speed

Mark 3:49. Howdy and welcome back! 🤠✨️🎉🎊🙏 Hey! One of my favorite visuals! Those road signs confirming that Gotham City and Gotham County, are two different jurisdictions that share a name! (Like "Town of Mayberry" and "Mayberry County" and both are county seats. Oklahoma City doesn't give Oklahoma County much choice because you enter the city limits before you cross the county line!) But do you notice that it doesn't show the name of the state? On car license plates/tags the state name is prominent. Going back to the 1966 "Batman" series it gives the impression that "Gotham" is a state name! Other live-action series and movies do so too. At least with the series "Gotham" it would eventually make since when the USA separated itself from Gotham County to quarantine it!

The bad fame of the leading actor, does not present anything new, he came out at the worst possible time. (The whole multiverse thing has been exploited and monopolized by Marvel)... 1.3K Thumbs Up + Mine! 👍 You're welcome! Thanks! 😊 Notes: The two actors with surnames that people conflate that both played a "Superman" are both dead and both appear in this movie. But I've seen fewer freak-out complaints about George than Christopher. By the way, why use stock black-and-white footage when he also made color episodes? George, that is. The "Flash" with the Hermes/Mercury/"FTD" helmet is the one that died in "Stargirl" before the series began. Hey! I witnessed your laughter! I witnessed some sadness too. But you steel said what you said at the end?! Hmm. I enjoyed both live-action versions of "The Justice League" movie! I'ved enjoyed everyone of their recent "DCEU" movies! None were mediocre to me! I enjoyed the music used too! "Favorite one"? Oh, I have yet to see "Wonder Woman 1984"! I missed out when it was in mivie theaters. I have two different DVD versions of it with no way to play them. I'm not sure anymore if I got to see Zack Snyder's cut of "Justice League" or that I just saw so many reactions to it that it feels like I saw it too. 🤔 But of the ones that I have seen for sure? If I ignore female sex appeal/eye candy, the choice is about the same for me. A tie. If I include the females? The ones that appeal to me are in my fantasy harem though. So another tie. ❤ Animals? The "League of Super Pets" doesn't count, right? If it does count, then it is my favorite! Gadgets? Another tie! All of the stories are recycled, so it is more about the presentation. Tie. Hmm. The politics behind the scenes annoy me. 🙄 I don't like what Hitler did, but I still enjoy a good WW2 movie. But some people that suffered back then can't even though we know who wins before we see the movie. Just like the smarter of us knew that the RMS Titanic sinks, before we saw that movie. Spoilers? If I could afford a car collection like Jay Leno's, I would have one too! But I can't so I don't. But if I had the money, I would buy a "Ford Mustang" or another dream car, regardless of a new model coming soon! 🤔 So I don't get why some people ignore what is currently happening just because of some hypothetical future that has yet to prove itself. 🤔 I'm not one of those people that ignore being hungry now and won't eat anything just because they willl ne hungry later and they might like the food more then! I won't refuse $10.00 now just because I'm getting a $100.00 bill later! So I saw the current movies that I had the cash to see and I missed out on those when the timing wasn't right and I was too broke to see them. 🙃 I'm not a total orphan like Bruce Wayne. I'm semi-orphaned like Barry Allen. I can relate to that loss though I was 4 and Barry was older. Sure, I'd like my life to be much better than it is. 😌
