I always loved the combat style with more heavy and impactful strikes, compared to the extremely fast movements in the prequel movies.

As a souls fan who prefers ultra greatswords that swing once every 2 seconds, it'll probably just be the beat stance to play in imo, but we'll have to see when there's actual gameplay out. So excited for this game!

I can’t wait for the double saber stance, brings back memories from TFU2 days lol

My thoughts exactly. Westend games had the best well rounded rules, except for the force powers with how too in depth and convoluted. The upkeep on a power gets harder and harder, which i get but at the same time. Force telekinesis a person is difficult, if ur 3 power ability scores are crap its stupidly hard, and wasting ur character pts

They need to add (at least an option) for more realistic enemy damage, lightsabers don’t just bounce off when you kill a trooper

When i read that firstly i thought oh cool this guy has a Konata pfp, Seconfly i thought of the equaliser in spider-man ps4 where it makes everone one hit.

With all of these combat stances and ability to switch between his weapon’s configurations, I think Cal would stand as an excellent example of a combat-oriented Form VI Niman specialist much like Exar Kun.

My fellow Jedi Master, while I concur that Cal is a specialist in Form VI Niman, his technique and bladework is far less refined than that of Exar Kun or our Battlemaster forebears such as Kao Cen Dratach. His mindset is an exemplar of of the Form's emphasis on balance and adaptability.

I really thought the blaster would be for a companion character, but if Cal gets to use blasters AND lightsabers, this will be so fun lol

Cross guard stance better be the way to the big dad build

i got a xbox on my birthday and just beated it today, the funny thing is that I was playing in game pass, and the subscription expires tomorrow, so i focused entirely on game, but it was actually today, thank god, if I didn't beated today, i would have never

Love it how you’d be able to attack at the same speed regardless of whatever lightsaber type you use since the ‘blade’ has no weight to it at all

Ayy they installed actual metal crossguard on the saber! No need to worry my hand accidentally slipping into pure energy anymore!

Still wishing dismemberment was a thing like in force awakens. The lack of it made the lightsaber feel incredibly weak in the first game.

We have seen a saber-blaster before, actually. Ezra Bridger made one in Star wars: Rebels, and it's honestly one of my favorite sabers in star wars because of the way he used it, or, more specifically, how Kanan used Ezra's lightsaber in his final duel with the Grand Inquisitor when he thought Ezra was dead. I hope it's something like that!

fallen order was a souls-like game and this just seems more in line with those styles of game, very detailed and intense combat mechanics with a variety of weapon types and different stances for those weapons

I was honestly expecting separate tech trees where you can “Train” or unlock different forms of lightsaber combat aka stances. Like I can be a defensive guy like obi Juan or attack constantly like Anakin slays alot of kids Skywalker. Or I could be mobile like Kermit the frog

Where do the Droids come from? I forgot the name of the planet, where droids were used against the Empire in Star Wars Rebels.

I really hoped they would dive a little bit deeper with the lightsaber forms. Instead of different types of lightsabers I wish there was an option where you could choose different forms such as Ataru or something like that.

It’s so weird how we’re all happy for an EA game. I’m not even joking. They’re still doing at least one thing pretty well. And sadly the whole thing with the Callisto Protocol proved the devs actually needed EA for the parts that people loved from Dead Space even if if they ironically caused the downfall.

A shame we didn't get the curved hilt saber. Makashi could've combined crossguard and dual-saber stances, it would've been amazing.

Kind of, you could split the saberstaff for combos using FP but you couldn’t use it as a battle style like the single blade or saberstaff

Reminds me of how you could switch combat styles in yakuza

The reason that kylo ren had a cross guard was because when he bled his kyber crystal he has so much hatred that it cracked causing the blade to be unsuitable and having to install vents to keep the blade from exploding in his hands, so the cross gaurd makes no sense

The double blade style is not new to survivor though, later in fallen order you acquire it

Will we actually be able to dismember people…

Lightsaber stances are cool, but is that a different biome variant of the Wampa? Or a different beast altogether?

I saw a video how a light Saber has no weight in the light part... why do they wield the Saber like it's a broadsword when it's just a laser pointer? It wouldn't be able to do half the things it would do in these scenes. Like scaling down the building???

To be fair the reason he uses the blaster is the one time he saw cere us it with her lightsaber and thought it looked cool.

I just hope they change the level ending, so we don't have to travel ALL the way back afterwards to get to the ship. That was incredibly annoying.
