I don't see any point of holding these girls back from doing what their male counterparts have been doing for a long time. I think they should allow quads in women's short. ISU shouldn't hold these ladies back unless they're insecure of women scoring higher than men which seems to be the case.

From an analytical stance, Mao has better toe loop technique than Mia. Mia steps up one leg first to get into rotation where toe loops are required to have both legs lift off at the same time to be considered textbook quality.

Show me anywhere in the ISU official guidelines that would describe textbook technique as you do it. It doesn't exist, this technique works well on stockier people with short legs and it would not work well on other body types, especially with longer legs. Techniques vary and there's no one universal technique that would work on everybody, ISU knows it, that's why they don't look at it the way you do

Most likely not. Kami just got her 4T back, and Adeliia upgraded a few days ago with a new 4S now having a 4Lo, 4T, 4S, 4F along with a new 3A as well. She might be the new upcoming star of Teamtut seniors with the trio Anna, Aliona, and Trusova out. The new ultra-c senior trio of tut this season might be Kami, Sofia A, and Adeliia since both Maia and Daria have failed to keep up the trio domination last season. Junior Alisa Dvoeglazova is landing more stable 4Lz's which is an upgrade from her original 4T in comps and has gained a 3A. Sofia A still has her 3A, 4T, and 4S. Unless her whole army of ultra-c skaters jump ship to CSKA (joining Aliona and Trusova there) Eteri's weave will remain blonde and intact. She is probably sweating a little about the new CSKA 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 year olds with 3A's, 4F's, and 4Lz's in Russia also going for 3Lz+3Lo jumps like the past two olympians (Anna and Alina). They're gaining fast. Mao Shimada with her nice skating should pray she doesn't end up like Rika at 19 and that she upgrades with a set of 4S, 4F, 4Lo, and 4Lz before Russia's return (the new juniors at 10 years old are already doing 4F and 4Lz with 3A's---honestly I doubt that Russia will be back anytime soon before 2026 but we never know. They might be banned forever). Rika the best of Mae's former students was out almost two seasons and was outlasted by the main ultra-c Tut girls she went up against and missed the olympic face off against her fellow skaters Anna & Trusova. Sadly Rika's still sufferingdoing doubles with a never ending injury after Mie Hamada with those triple axels and unstable quads so Shimada's future based on Rika's does not look too bright. Maybe she'll leave before turning 18 and getting Rika's fate or at least before being "dragged around the rink by her ponytail", enduring physical punishment and joining in the lawsuit against Mie with the other former skaters.
