The fact that quadruple jumps like Toeloop or Salhow is not something surprising now (especially on Russian competitions) is amazing. We couldn't explain it few years ago. I also miss Sasha's 4Lz, but I believe she will land it soon. Dvoeglazova, Zhilina can do 4Lz as I know, but they are juniors. So I look forward to her😁

Sasha and Anna were precursors for the flips and lutzes, but they deserve to rest now, it would be cool for them if they decide to stop now ! We still have plenty of young talents to look forward to in the future, and I’m sure we’ll see 4F and 4lz again in the seniors !

Yes it’s because as women mature they gained a lot more weight on bottom, such as thigh and hip, which creates more “drag” so harder to jump high and move fast etc. this is unlike men in which the weights are more evenly distributed as they get older. However, with the new rules in place, training will change for women, so eventually they could still find older women to be able to jump quads consistently, or changing their diet routine etc to control for weight.

@@karavay4ik528 она его не только не докрутила, она еще и на отрыве читерит. На самом деле, интересно будет посмотреть на Соню в пубертате - никого сия участь не миновала еще. На прыжком турнире в полуфинале между ними была заметна разница - насколько выше тулуп у Камилы. У неё еще с юниорства он такой, только там ось была нестабильная, "вываливалась" периодически на противоположную сторону. А если Акатьева и сейчас не докручивает (довольно часто), пока легкая, то, когда в пубертате скорость крутки снизится, хватит ли высоты?

@user-cm2qw3vl8l в 15 у неё уже начался пубертат, но жёсткие диеты и интенсивные тренировки перед олимпиадой его затормозили. А вот после Олимпиады, когда нагрузки снизились, она моментально «округлилась». Как и Аня Щербакова, она тоже оттягивала пубертат до последнего.

Yes, because the ISU put +2A SEQ to benefit weak skaters like Mariah Bell who can't do basic 3-3 combos. Now everyone with stronger jumps (triple axels, quads, and 3-3 combo jumpers) are using it to their advantage. 3Lz+3T+2A and 3Lz+2A+2A are the new 3 jump combos for stronger jumpers.

You are right. I tried the Japanese comps to get get away from the international degradation and I was left disappointed. Ami Nakai was fine in the free though.

На обложке видео написано все правильно: Russian Nationals (сокращенно от Russian National Championship, что на русском Чемпионат России), в названии же, я полагаю, автор сократил Russian Nationals до Nationals 2023, а Чемпионат России 2023 прошел как раз в конце декабря 2022 года. Надеюсь, мое объяснение прояснило эти моменты :) P.S. если название видео и описание у вас на русском языке, значит у вас стоит автоперевод, который и мог перевести вам Nationals как ЧМ

@@No_Rashism_Stop_Putinism да, насколько я знаю, все верно про то, что автоперевод настраивается автором видео, просто я забыла, что у моего телефона стоит английский язык, поэтому у меня не переводится) Насчет ЧМ - согласна, странно, я тоже не понимаю, как мог получиться такой перевод🤷‍♀️ К тому же, Nationals называют соревнования в определенной стране, а тут его прозвали ЧМ - не сходится, ведь он будет уже World Championships. Больше похоже на корявый ручной перевод, но это тоже странно :)

A 4T must have 180 pre-rotation, else it is impossible to do a 4T. Even Nathan and Yuzuru pre rotate 180° as it is allowed and still considered textbook. Also I do believe that Zinina has a toe pick in her 4T.

I was wondering why every quad toe in this video had an unusual high kick and seemed odd on take off, so I tried to compare their quad toes with top male skaters (Chen, Hanyu etc.), and noticed that every lady here was using blade assist on the toe pick (the full blade was touching the ice and free leg lifted much higher before the picking leg leaves the ice). It almost seemed like the mirrored cheated flip with blade assist.

I think this really highlights how bad the situation has become. Except for the legendary Tuktamysheva its all tiny 15 year old girls with heavily prerotated quads. Everyone should see that this is unhealthy.
