The similarities between Ajunta and Anakin makes me wonder if this was the will of the Force. Having the one chosen to destroy the Sith, correct the errors of the first Sith. Where Ajunta felt regret for creating the Sith Order, but could not destroy them, Anakin having followed a similar path did destroy the order. Bringing everything full circle. I know reincarnation may not be a thing that exists in Star Wars, but what if Anakin was the reincarnation of Ajunta. Like the first Sith returning to fix his mistake. It would be poetic.

In KOTOR 1, you see that the spirit or the force ghost of Ajunta actually makes contact with you by fighting your character if you give him the wrong sword. Therefore force ghosts have always had contact in the the living realm before we saw it from Yoda in Episode 8.The only difference may be if there is a difference between a spirit and a force ghost.

Great video. Ajunta was so nice when I meet him. I felt his remorse,sadness,sorrow Too long,in the cold and the dark,as he said. He deserved redemption and peace. May the Force be with you too

Master Uthar could have learned much from visiting the tomb of Ajunta Pall, Korriban could have been redeemed into the light, and the Sith order could have been reformed into a new Jedi Order which taught both light and the dark sides of the force and from that order would have sprang some of the most powerful Jedi ever.

Wasn’t Revan also a Sith Lord who started out as a Jedi and fell to the dark side though? Not just Anakin and Ajunta. Of course Revan also returned to the light just as Anakin did, though he did so before his dying moments.

My fav with lord, and my fav sw characters over all is Revan. His story is just so cool!

This is fantastic. I didn't know anything about this guy outside of his name. His story would make a really great trilogy. Rewinding the Star Wars universe to the beginning.

Love this series. I've always been fascinated with Revan's story ever since my days of playing The Old Republic games. (when I first got introduced to a lot of the Sith lore) So I always look forward to when you talk more about him and give us more of his history. I always learn a lot from your channel as well. Things aren't always so black and white with Star Wars. Ajunta Pall and his Dark Jedi followers did war with the Jedi Order, but only after they had left the Order peacefully and set up their own Order on another planet to continue their dark side alchemy and dark side practices. The Jedi picked a fight with Ajunta Pall and his order by ordering them to stop practicing with the Dark side and to rejoin the Jedi Order. Pall start a war with the Jedi Order because he wanted to do things his way and he felt the Order was just jealous of his and his followers new found power. The Jedi Order was afraid of the Dark side of the Force and afraid of losing their grip on power also.

Marka Ragnos who is arguably one of the strongest Sith ever wasn't a Jedi, Naga Sadow, Darth Tenebrae, Darth Plaguies and Darth Sidious were never Jedi. Ajunta Pall, Exar Kun, Revan and Anakin are probably the 4 most powerful Sith that were previously Jedi

Very fascinating and intriguing video about Ajunta Pall. Before I ever heard of him I thought Tulak Hord was the first Dark Lord of the Sith. It's also fascinating to learn that Revan convinced his spirit to turn back to the light, I'm such a huge fan of KOTOR and SWTOR and I hope Disney and Lucasfilms make an animated series about it. The life of Ajunta Pall feels so similar to Paul Atreides (they also look almost the same based on their clothing attire, blue eyes, and masks).

Now of course, there is the tale of Darth Gravid, (a Sith Lord in the Bane lineage), who had a proclivity in his later years to gravitate towards the light side of the Force, as he believed that the Sith would only emerge once more, as a tenable threat to the dominance of the Jedi, IF they embraced various "light side attributes," (such as compassion). This centuries old Sith would have advanced the eponymous "Sith Imperative" into fruition and perhaps galactic dominance, had it not been for his erratic mental state, (further exasserbated by the contented metaphysical languishing that he inered himself to -- a failed "equilibrium" between the light and dark side of the Force; a product of attempting to balance Dark Side ability with Light Side philosophy and didactics). To make a long story short, he decided to destroy centuries of archival knowledge, which countless generational cohorts of Sith Lords before him had compiled, (this was on his fortress of Jaguada), thus forcing his apprentice to kill him. As Plagueis told a young Sidious -- (paraphrasing): "If not for the massive setback Darth Gravid dealt the Sith, the resurgent order may have already advanced past its reformist and nascent stages, to overthrow the Jedi and establish a firm Galactic rule" -- (at least by the time of Sidious' induction into the order). Imagine if, instead of Sidious being the primary architect of this new Sith Order, he was merely the beneficiary of an already present Sith Empire and all the inalienable rights and knowledge it could have endowed him with/safeguarded for him. Fascinating.

Nicholas Stancel Darth Gravid tried to pull a Revan but not many people can just survive fusing the darkest and brightest aspects of the Force together. That leads to insanity and usually death. Revan is a great example cuz his living dark side counterpart was obviously insane trying to take on Vitiate.

If I am not mistaken, (and correct me if I am wrong), Gravid tried to institutionalize some form of metaphysical 'compatibilism' between the light and dark side of the Force. He attempted to adapt dark sider abilities to the moral virtues inherent in the light. Now as we have seen time and time again, a practitioner apt in conjuring Sith lightening is only proficient insofar as their behavioural aptitudes in rage or anger/greed are concerned. In other words, the various behavioural vices are endogenous in nature and ramification to these dark side abilities, (which in reciprocal perpetuity, serve to fuel provide credence to those emotions), and embracing such immoral traits with whatever zeal, or to whatever extent is the prime contingent factor with which one can become an advanced practitioner in these abilities. You were wise to point out Revan as he embodied this delemna of light and dark side duality, and the relatively well documented fact that there seems to be an incongruence between the two dispositions in the Force -- both sides are completely and entirely immutable in their own right, and neither would grant concession to the other in the futile fight for compatibility. As you pointed out, this is why Revan's mind/soul/being, (whatever you want to call it), quite literally fragmented into the two halves or vacillating mental states. Great game KOTOR, (and SWTOR).
