In this video, we look at the C major scale, which is my recommended first scale anyone should learn on piano.
We build this up from the basics, starting out with just 5 notes with the right hand (one note for each digit to keep it simple!)
We then look at how to play with the left hand, play a full octave (all 8 notes of the scale) and how to play both hands TOGETHER!

Most concert pianists would say that C Major is the most difficult key to play. I have read that Chopin began his students on B Major because it uses all the black keys on which the "long fingers" (2,3&4) naturally fall, with the "short fingers" (1&5) falling on the white keys.

It has been reported that Chopin started his students on B. And Daniel Barenboim said don’t waste you’re time on scales. To each his own I suppose.
