I read one of these books literally last month and couldn't recognize it until line 2. 🥴 It's HARD!! It's a fun change of pace for a video, though!

Excellent video!! I am, however, a little disappointed that the host of Jeopardy did so poorly. Though I am now going to read Red Rising because those prose were damn good. I'll have my long socks and headband on deck for this Richard Simmons video. Wonderful video you two.

The Iron Gold prologue enticed me to want to actually start that series, but I agree it sounds like it could be ANY war related book when not given context.

This was brilliant. Loved watching the struggle.

It took me till book 6 to realize all these books weren't about a character named Thunderclies. Lol

When we were first dating we went on a date where we bought each other clothes at Goodwill and picked the cheesiest loudest outfits we could find and then wore them out in public the rest of the date haha. 😂 Good times!

I'm so ready for that workout video! 😂 I unfortunately haven't read any of these books but Red Rising is now high on my priority list to start in the second half of the year (and I'm looking forward for the discussions you had about this series!).

This was great fun! I am impressed by Christina. The patience! My partner would have thrown a book at me after my first tantrum :) (If it makes you feel better, I did not get any one of them correct)

Kudos for going through with this challenge, and on hard-mode no less 😄 Definitely a tough one.

Hehe, in Christina's defense, I thought standing on the lonely volcanic imagery was pretty evocative, though it make me think of the cover of Sword of Kaigen also. Maybe next time you could have two or three tiers of punishment severity cups, it might lessen your depression when you know you can't win, but might at least still avoid the dunce prize. Your choice whether Richard Simmons workout goes there. :)

I went 3/6 I think the scoring system is just too hard, like if you get everything on the second sentence that feels like you did really well, but it would be a fail.

I literally started Iron Gold on April 1 and finished it on April 3, and I didn't get that one lmao. Claudius is the best!

Hi, Christina here! I am so sorry if any of our interactions were triggering or made you uncomfortable! I promise we have a very safe relationship. :) Allen has one volume (which is loud haha) but we have firm boundaries of no name-calling even when we’re legit arguing instead of this playful banter. And Allen and I are both very respectful of one another if we ever accidentally stray into sensitive territory and actually hurt one another’s feelings. But I could see how it might be uncomfortable to watch, especially if you have been in or have had close witness to relationships that weren’t safe.
