The first indoor ski slope in North America is a high-tech trip

Ғылым және технология

Years in the making, Big Snow has finally opened at the American Dream mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Here's a tour of this mini ski resort that features real snow, a 1000-foot run and a small terrain park for snowboarders. Prices start at $30 for 2 hours of skiing if you have your own equipment -- and the weather is always the same inside.

For all of the people in the comments stating that America is so far behind in skiing technology, and that they apparently have hundreds of indoor ski parks in the U.K. you are wrong. First off, there are certainly not hundreds of indoor ski parks in the U.K. as that would mean most small towns with a small population would have one aswell. This is defiantly not the case and there would be no reason for this to happen when you could just drive an hour or two to spend all day at a place like this in a bigger city. Secondly, we are not far behind in skiing technology. Here in America, we have tons of different mountain ranges and some of the best and biggest ski resorts in the world. People tsk their yearly vacations/holidays to these ski resorts across the country, and there was simply jus no need for an indoor ski park because of this. Yes, it’s nice to have one now, but we still really don’t need it.
