Can we rename this to the Global Triathlon Dentists Network? There is no "trickle down" with this bike....it will go to sponsored athletes or dentists who can't hold aero for more than 20 minutes.

I'm surprised RBR didn't want to go with not UCI limited version which obviously should've been a completely different project. It would be cool to compare that with what Cadex is doing for Blummenfelt, the Red Bull athlete.

@@gtn for the price BMC sell their bike it looks way too normal. I still feel that they just added a winning F1 badge on their frame with a few tweaks here and there. While at the same time Cadex really seem to push the boundaries trying to find those tiny watts, more like F1 car is developed during the competition season.
Great video and a great looking bike. How about doing a video of the Ku TF1, designed by Richard McAinsh (Aero engineer with Ferrari, Benettonand others). The Ku is the bike ridden by Rico Bogen to win the im 70.3 World Championships and also Chloe Sparrow to win the British Middle Distance Championships. 😀

It’s finally released, have looks good, but not “radially” different. Nice that they kept it UCI legal, hopefully different basebars are as expensive as on the old one. I missing the “saddle” box on this one what’s the weight of the frame? Now I waiting for an independent review
A very nice TT bike.. i like the water carrier and straw .
Nice looking machine! Would have loved to have seen some more details about the Profile Design pads/extensions, love what PD put out and great to see a commercially available set up on this bike.

Looks great but where is the integrated storage for gels/bars
Where do you put gels and the like?
Dream ride 😊
So cool to see this.
I wonder how hard it is to drink from that long straw and usually those bite valves don't hold a vacuum, so you would have to suck up liquid every time you want to drink.
Everything looks spectacular. BUT... At first glance, the aerodynamics seems to fall short because the distance from the front wheel to the frame should either be snug to the wheel like (Cervelo, Canyon, BMC Time Machine, etc.) or far back (like the Scott Plasma, Ventum, Lotus). Would like to see a detailed explanation (for example, does the fork protruding fin make the difference?) .
Do I even need to spin pedals on this bike or it goes only by the power of mind and F1 technology in it?
I love the bike and all the innovation. But is anyone else starting to get concerned about the new price points on these bikes, and people just being priced out of the sport? The frame-set is $7,000 then for the bike it starts at $11,000 then jumps to $12,000. Cadex is the same way $7,000 for the frame. Felt is the same way.

#gtncoachescorner How can the lay person without access to a wind tunnel play around with aerobar positioning (height, angle, etc.)? Other than simply trying out different positions, is there a reasonable method to determine which position is fastest for you?
BMC, will there be that vision TT bar avalible like in the video that left red guy riding it? Sorry but that stock bar is a mess..
Why all the gaps? The front wheel is so far from the down tube and the gap between the rear wheel and the seat tube is ridiculous. Come on BMC the days of using a big marketing blitz to sell a bike are over the consumer is much more savvy than they use to be.

Really makes me laugh about everyone complaining about the price under the video about the new Cube Aerium.

Looks cool but the price is way salty. Peak aero was reached years ago. Any gains would be marginal at best I would surmise.
I don’t get why bike companies build TT bikes vs triathlon bikes. Triathlon market is much bigger than TT market (which is basically just pro and maybe UK).
The price on this is comical. BMC can F right off. 😂

So I'm surprised, but not necessarily positively. The market for UCI bikes is actually very small. Very few people really ride under the regulations. The triathlon market is much bigger. Strange decision, probably wanted to save costs. But the price doesn't look like that. Then there are the other things that are strange. Wide forks okay. But that the down tube has so much distance from the front tire and also the distance of the rear wheel to the frame - all very strange. Questionable whether this is really a negative or a novel positive point. But it seems strange to me. No front hydration. I'm confused. Should the bike really cost its 16k or 23k when fully equipped, that would be completely batshit. Honestly, who should and wants to afford that? The bike looks nice from the paint job, but with respect, the frame could also come from China open mold. Maybe it even does. Personally, I have my doubts whether the bike is even a whit faster than my Cervelo P2/P3 (with P3 fork) from 2016 and Vision TFA aerobars with the Vision TFE extensions. In time trials I still go faster than the vast majority with similar performance. In this respect, do not be fooled: position is everything, cockpit truely makes a bit of a difference, but the frame is really quite indifferent. Hydration is of course nice, but also possible otherwise!
@veganpotterthevegan

It definitely saves them money but the accessories that make this bike not UCI legal are where the real savings are for a triathlete
Now if you gained 1kg of weight because you ate too many carbs, you just lost the watts advantage
This is not a triathlon bike. This is a marketing bike. I have never seen such huge gaps between frame and wheels in any aero or triathlon bike.
@Datboyvideo
9 ай бұрын
lol. Plasma 6 is twice as much separation from front wheel to down-tube and shiv TT has significantly more space between seat post tube and rear wheel. The idea of no space from wheels to frame is ages old and falls apart with any yaw or micro steering….which is 95% of the time you ride. Both of which end up causing pressure points if they happen on a bike like the P5.
Formula 1 technology on a bike 😂😂
price is ridiculous
Let me guess, it will cost so much like previous BMC’s few will ever want to buy one. That’s always been the problem with this bike, why would you buy one when trek and cervelo (and now canyon) are just as proven and thousands less?
@veganpotterthevegan

BMC has never really been a company for the masses. And some will want it because of that
BMC makes exceptional looking bikes with exceptional ugly paintjobs.
Shame the straw is on the outside of the downtube. Otherwise its hard to comment on the design decisions without testing data - hopefully someone can provide. Hydration unit looks very clever though. Also wonder how it goes adjustability wise. Doesnt seem as flexy as new Plasma

Just a road bike like tarmac SL7 with aerobar and a ugly 3D box...noting new TT bike like shiv TT or other bike latest year get more closed than road bike reduce size for gain weight, you get a M size look like a XS frame from 5 years ago and smaller tubes... This type of new bike is the answer for hilly triathlon or TT great for that, not very interesting on a flat course where you will prefer a real TT bike Giant Trinity. I just said that but I know BMC have good TT bike.
Lol pieces of plastics vs my ducati panigale. Dont get me weong i have my Elves falath pro and Pardus robin evo. Why dont you guys start focusing on much more affordable aero/tt bikes. A lot of start ups are being left out here lol.
For $23,000 you better promise me a solo drive in an F1 RedBull car…. That’s way too much money. Seriously. $23k for top model. $17k for mod and $10k for entry, and they use basic Profile Design parts and exposed hydration tube? Eh, pass. I’ll stick with my brand new Trek Speed Concept….
Nice looking bike but looks similar to so many others out there. Perhaps we are reaching a point of marginally marginal gains ?!
