@@gtn for the price BMC sell their bike it looks way too normal. I still feel that they just added a winning F1 badge on their frame with a few tweaks here and there. While at the same time Cadex really seem to push the boundaries trying to find those tiny watts, more like F1 car is developed during the competition season.

Everything looks spectacular. BUT... At first glance, the aerodynamics seems to fall short because the distance from the front wheel to the frame should either be snug to the wheel like (Cervelo, Canyon, BMC Time Machine, etc.) or far back (like the Scott Plasma, Ventum, Lotus). Would like to see a detailed explanation (for example, does the fork protruding fin make the difference?) .

The frame-set is $7,000 then for the bike it starts at $11,000 then jumps to $12,000. Cadex is the same way $7,000 for the frame. Felt is the same way.

So I'm surprised, but not necessarily positively. The market for UCI bikes is actually very small. Very few people really ride under the regulations. The triathlon market is much bigger. Strange decision, probably wanted to save costs. But the price doesn't look like that. Then there are the other things that are strange. Wide forks okay. But that the down tube has so much distance from the front tire and also the distance of the rear wheel to the frame - all very strange. Questionable whether this is really a negative or a novel positive point. But it seems strange to me. No front hydration. I'm confused. Should the bike really cost its 16k or 23k when fully equipped, that would be completely batshit. Honestly, who should and wants to afford that? The bike looks nice from the paint job, but with respect, the frame could also come from China open mold. Maybe it even does. Personally, I have my doubts whether the bike is even a whit faster than my Cervelo P2/P3 (with P3 fork) from 2016 and Vision TFA aerobars with the Vision TFE extensions. In time trials I still go faster than the vast majority with similar performance. In this respect, do not be fooled: position is everything, cockpit truely makes a bit of a difference, but the frame is really quite indifferent. Hydration is of course nice, but also possible otherwise!

lol. Plasma 6 is twice as much separation from front wheel to down-tube and shiv TT has significantly more space between seat post tube and rear wheel. The idea of no space from wheels to frame is ages old and falls apart with any yaw or micro steering….which is 95% of the time you ride. Both of which end up causing pressure points if they happen on a bike like the P5.
