The first duckbill dinosaur from Africa, and the role of oceanic dispersal in dinosaur biogeography
Duckbill dinosaurs evolved in the Cretaceous of North America. How did they end up half a world away, in Africa, which was an island continent at the time? Improbable ocean crossings may have played an important role in dinosaur evolution- and evolution in general may be driven by such low-probability, high-impact events.

Most excellent Nick
Love this!!!
You are welcome
Got very excited to see you uploaded another lecture, I share these with my paleo friends and we all find them informative and entertaining. Keep it up!
Now I can't get a vision of "flocks" of duckbills, swimming across oceans like ducks in ponds. Probably quacking too. 😅🦆🦆🦆
