I remember hearing the studio version of this for the first time and being hypnotized by the guitar solo...Jimmy had a long and hard road back from both heoin addiction and the death of John Bonham, and of course the demise of Led Zeppelin...listening to his phrasing and the melodic journey that a Jimmy Page solo would take a listener on,. I knew he we was all the way back. He does the same here in a live setting...takes you on a journey.

Not Paul’s best vocals here…the King Biscuit is much better
a moment of brilliance by Page!!!!
One of Paul Rodgers' finest songs after his time in Free.
Most people don't know this song was originally done by Paul Rodgers a couple of years earlier on his solo album, then in '86 The Firm did another version of it on their second album Mean Business. This live version is from late '84 before they even released their first album.

I was there up against the boards , just about got crushed when Jimmy pulled out the bow. You could feel the energy in the air!
What a song Jimmy's guitar so haunting brilliant playing soft sweet tender fast fierce wailing so emotive could be the best solo he played live and the record version

Page on fire, goosebumps!
I remember well the time my late uncle played me this track - this solo by Jimmy is so totally on the money and the epic feel of the Rodgers lyrics is a totally unbeatable combo - rest in peace Pete !
One generation revered EVH , my generation loved Jimmy Page and his playing.
This is relevant now @ praying for Peace! Jimmy Rogers singing with his heart and soul, was listening to the Firm in 1985 !

Saw them do this at Nassau Coliseum June 1986. What a supergroup they were indeed. Love these two albums. Would love a reunion for these guys.

RIFFHANGER Always couldn't figure out why Jimmy didn't reconstitute The Firm when the Page-Plant experiment ended around '98. They could have squeezed another couple of great albums out.
Great song still love this band. . Wow" the drums' killin it..:)
One of the greatest live performances recorded.
The Firm.. One of the BEST short-lived and one of the most underrated bands ever.
HE JUST STANDS THERE AND JAMS !!
Page badass, what a superb solo, jesus!
That solo still gets me to this day..... damn. i remember watching this concert on MTV - had it recorded to tape. Loved every minute. Saw the Firm in Dallas in 86...highlight of my concert experiences.

Jimmy’s best live playing since 1975,, he was on in The Firm
This is my all-time favorite song by this awesome supergroup.
Wow I didn't realize I was seeing perfection til I look back at it.... Awesome
I was lucky enough to see The Firm in about 1985. Such an amazing show!
The ultimate truther with a iconic voice of truth and justice for the human MAN and or WOMAN. TO LIVE IN PEACE.
Amazing song.... one of my all time favourites!
Fantastic ❤ The Firm should have stayed together!
Mark Teicher ... I saw the Firm live in Dayton ohio at Hara Arena. Fabulous concert
Going to see Bad Company today at the NYS fair... Free show, and a dollar to get in. I got to see these guys in the 80's. One of my all time favorite shows
jimmy page is the Greates guitar God all times he is the Men
Great band! Saw them in May '86 in Toledo and the next week in Cleveland.
A song that has never been more appropriate, had the great pleasure of playing this song with my high school rock band, it was the centerpiece of our show, a set list of also included Spirit of Love
Dan Vasc, God has given you a great gift, and sir, you are rocking that gift. You can mail so many genres! You blew me away on this one when you sang, When we’ve been here 10000 years”. As a Christian, I’ve heard this many times; hands down, this was my fave
jimmy got some of that magic back in this one. epic solo. only page can do that..

Good shit! I met the bass player Tony Franklin years later at the Belly Up in Solan Beach.....got a selfie and an autograph. Great bass player!
Out of all the Firm bootlegs where Live In Peace appears, this is my 2nd favorite version. Such a powerful song! I'm still surprised & disappointed to this day that this song wasn't more popular. It's got everything! It's so under-rated! I'd love to see a musician (depending on who it of course) resurrect this song --put it on an album & do it live. I would LOVE to hear Plant sing this song a few times!
I seen them twice in Ca back in the day, they were so tight it was something to see this band!

That evening Jimmy Page was on it!!!
seen them 3 times in a week.....they are always great...... springfield ,enfield, and new haven!!!!!!
Saw them in concert back in the 80's in Houston, Texas. What a great show! Thanks for posting Astroman505.
This song and Jimmy Page and David Coverdale song prayer for the dying are so relevant today!
Seen these guys. Incredible show for a kid that was to young to Zeppelin.
Biggest Firm fan in the 80's Paul Roger's, the great Jimmy Page no one better ! @ Why can't we really live in PEACE !
Great song and sound...playing all fantastic classic. WW
An absolute masterpiece of power and heartfelt emotion. I saw The Firm at Largo, Md. in 1985 and they were great. Two legends and great back up by Chris Slade on the kit and the fretless bass player who was awesome. Too bad that these two albums didn't do better...the damned trendy, shallow new wavers and their silly fans probably buying too much Duran, Duran, George Michael, and Devo.

I was there. Stunning
Clapton could never improv. He was to into every note being in its proper place. Beck was a wizard beyond compare. Page was a genius that most guitarists aspire to be. His ability to improv was magic. I love Jimmy Page

Page was versatile. He made good songs in a lot of different styles . They're all one trick ponies compared to Page. Beck is great but not a songmaker
Two greats and one of the most underrated tunes, and so impressive to the point of pain. I adore them!
Oh Jimmy . be still thine beating heart !
This is one of the most unknown greatest rock songs ever.
On this one, all of them made magic. Slade beat, Franklin power bass makes it more magical.
