I watched this every time it came on as a kid. He had a straightforward, friendly approach to science that I enjoyed. It was as if your own grandpa was teaching you science in a relaxed, informal atmosphere that always ended up being fun.

Paramount+, here it comes.
thank youuu for explaining. but why did I only found your channel now🤧 still great help!
Ah good ol'Mr. Wizard. I used to watch his program ALL the time. If I had to choose between him and say Bill Nye, I'd choose him EVERY time.

Guardiane for sure! I never could get into bill nye's obnoxiously frantic and schizophrenic pacing. It felt condescending and stupid. This, this is just awesome. Way more engaging and thoughtful.

I also like how he isn't acting, he's just being himself, like you're in a classroom. Feels like he didn't even really rehearse, he must have been like "F it, lets just film it."
I remember I was probably his age watching this series. It is a shame they don't have good stuff like this on TV so much. This would look great in 4K resolution.

Instead of teaching kids useful information, they teach them about drag queens. This country has definitely got its priorities backwards
I watched Mr. Wizard every morning before school

My absolute favorite show as a kid. His reruns from the 50's/60's were just as awesome.
Mythbusters would have blown up that paper home just to prove a point!
Mr Wizard is so cool I watched his show when I was a kid he does such an awesome job with showing the viewers cool stuff
Very educational. I wish they have shows like this today

We do :) It's this one right here. The fundamentals don't change.
I miss him just as is, but I miss him even more when Big bang theory made their own version of him
I'm glad he pointed out that water takes away the heat and not the oxygen (think about it water is H2O so it already has oxygen in it)
Great and simple to understand
I used to get up at 5am to catch that show I used to watch when I was a little kid.
that's really good teaching
Nice
I'm learning a lot:-)

Ahhh, the good old days before smoke detectors.
Mr Wizard you scare me
what is it called when a material can burn but does not produce enough heat to continue burning on its own, it needs an exernal source to continue burning
i am 61 years old and i still watch and listen to this guy. he is a real teacher, beyond any school teacher i had eons ago, them goddamed liberal hacks.

Don't you need ignition for fire and not necessarily heat?
@TheDbworks

+chrismc410 Ignition is a process in which you increase the heat to cause combustion. So, heat is fundamental and basic :) to start a fire.

For a chemical reaction to occur, the temperature of the reactants need to at least be some minimum temperature to burn. A spark or other ignition source is usually very small but very hot and capable of starting the process. Dropping the reactants' temperature will instantly stop the fire. I actually got burning paper to go OUT by dropping it in liquid oxygen. I wouldn't recommend this though! That same paper, when soaked in liquid oxygen and ignited will burn explosively. Also, lowering it into that liquid oxygen caused it to burn much brighter and hotter at first because that container had lots of pure oxygen gas above the liquid.
Thank you my celebrated scientist I was hoping for your assistance be prepared for the world's largest gathering a boy Scouts and girl Scouts of America 30th year anniversary bridge to The Future 1993 you have assembled close to 415,000 scouts and 30 years maybe celebrating boy Scouts and girl Scouts of America as it was needed 1993 65000 pizzas a day for 2 weeks only offered one pizza for scout per week 2023 we may have a lot larger gatherings 2.7 million campers how many pizzas conveyor ovens maybe needed for this large gathering of scout? Respectfully your friend. Senior Scout Master patrol leader Bergen County NJ troop 1212 Captain Blake E WestDyk USA B.S.A.
