@@ronaldtartaglia4459 I had a CR250rj '88 FMF pipe ect, I got it in 1989 it had been Race 1 Season but was Still Fast & Fresh, I Regretfully Sold it 2yrs Later to by a Brand New YZ125, You do Dumb things When your Young!!😉 The YZ was Great, but Not a 250r Powerhouse! I wish I Could by that Bike Back Today in the Same Condition I Sold it, but It would be an Expensive Exercise Today!! Enjoy your 88 250r One of the Best Ever Made!!👍😉🇺🇸

Youngins' don't even understand the rawness of these and how that's all everyone rode in our days coming up. Now it's all sissy 4 strokes. I still ride my 05 kx 250. Just did a conversion kit on it last year to bring up to a 19' 👌🏼

It is unbelievable everything about that place is epic.

As I remember riding those back in the day, the engine was totally amazing -- frame wasn't so great. Wish Honda kept that engine when they improved the chassis in 2002. What a sweet, clean bike.

Thank you Mr. Kaplan! It's awesome to see someone so passionate about what they do. Keep up the great work! I did a little mx and bmx in my youth. I can't wait to visit the museum.

Got it right man the time spent on a bike brings great happiness. Even after it hurts you n costs you some flow.

Very nice CR250 guys that there's probably my favorite dirt bike I love the 250cc plenty of power and torque lightweight easy to throw around easy to load up in the back of a pickup if you're going to you don't need two or three other guys helping you. Very nice!

You said it the same time I was thinking ,when I was 15-27 bikes like this were my drug of choice.it kept us out of trouble - simpler times & Ken takes us back every day.oooh-rahh

A real true bike guy/kid/girl will respect a true good classic bike like one would do a classic car. New generation riders think bc it's not a 2021(new) bike then it's of no interest but their wrong. This Honda's 250 power delivery is more fun to ride then any modern bike, ask me how I know....

Brother has 1 he fully rebuilt . So clean he wants it in his house . His missus isnt having none of it 🤣 I have a fully rebuilt kx250 06 .. 2 strokes are just awesome

My 99 is near mint. I did the 270 kit with taller gearing complete rebuild. New crank ect.didnt need it but I was in there so. New fenders. Original shrouds and side covers. Polished frame. Rebuilt suspension. Vortec reads. Original graphics on shrouds. Pulls like a beasts. Brrrapppp

What a wicked beautiful machine,I never mx but these late 90 2 strokes by Honda a reversed similarly to the early 70s Kawasaki h1&2.that 250 is more than enough for 99.5% of the population. That chassis is a "Dime".

Such an incredible bike... the sound of that ripping was a trip down memory lane! This was my 4th bike, I whiskey throttled it in 3rd gear, somehow got off the throttle and saved it but scared the hell out of me, then sold it... too much bike for my just out of high school 115lb self - probably the shrimpiest kid to ever own that bike🤣 Can’t believe I only paid $3,000 for it in 2003 and sold it for about the same... should have hung on to that!! Would have been a great investment - didn’t realize what I had😬

I had 2 of these. Road race motor that we nicknamed the beast. If you can win on this rigid rocket ship today you deserve the medal of honor. Most certainly not even close to being the best bike ever, it's not even close to being the best Honda 250 ever.I would rank the 96 CR as the best Honda 250 ever with the 2000/2001 a close 2nd. 2002 and later YZ 250 puts them all on the trailer.Far closer to being the the best bike made than the first ten aluminum Honda.

@@mikefrank6319 I own a very nice cr250 2001 with all the goodies ,totally rebuilt everything. I really like the CR plenty power sounds good looks good,and very reliable for the 4 ys or so i have owned it neva let me down not once.i will prob neva sell it.BUT........the 2015 yz 250 i purchased recently (owned for 5 month now ) seems the total package and a definite stepup from the cr in every possible way. More power, Better handling, As nice in the looks department and much much better suspension. Guaranteed we are looking at 14yrs difference and like i said will never part with my trusty cr steed, but the yz yes better bike....but guess i will know in 4yrs if its as reliable???

@@victoroneill4381 Yea, 2000 and 2001 CR 250's were the best ones.Fantastic chassis and build quality.Great hole shot acceleration from the softish feeling motor. Switched back to the YZ 250 in 2002. Stronger motor with unbelievable torque for a two stroke, unflappable chassis coupled with great rear suspension.The YZ 250 motor that debuted in 1999 is still powering the 2021 model today.

What do you run on these 250’s. Im At 32:1 maxima, But with pump gas 93 octane. I know you run jp. Does the jp make that much of a difference? Should I change the mixture if I try jp? Or do you use the jp just because it doesn’t go bad?
