"STAR" CLASSICAL GUITAR COVER BY THESMALLSALMON: • STAR Classical Guitar
LYRICS:
[Verse 1:]
I don’t care about your bad breath
But it’s kind of sad that you don’t talk to me
If you could tell me what is in your head
Cause you used to tell me that we’re meant to be
[Bridge:]
I know that death will never do us part
I look at Arkay and I spit in his face
To bring you back I learned the darkest art
Whatever the price is, I’m prepared to pay
[Chorus:]
What’s the fine for necrophilia
In this part of Tamriel [x2]
[Post-Chorus:]
You’ll stay with me
We’re bound by blood
Please stay with me
[Verse 2:]
You used to tell me that I stole your heart
And now I stole your other organs too
You used to tell me that I broke your law
And I will break a thousand more for you

Death is tragic, fighting against it in any way, even if it means evoking the darkest arts, is noble and honourable, and to do these things for another even moreso. Granted, that book is likely a fictionalized account of her life, but it seems a strange thing to get wrong. Regardless, Barenziah was born at the end of the Second Era and lived at least until the Red Year in the Fourth Era, which puts her at least 435-ish years old. I would like to present to you a compendium of appreciation for this Young Scrolls release: - The continued use of clever Young Scrolls branding at the beginning of the video. The way that Young Scrolls manages to blur the lines between his own creations, branding, and canon with the established world of 'The Elder Scrolls' establishes his identity and the identity of these creations within it. Looking back into the land of Tamriel, I truly can't imagine Young Scrolls not being part of it. For many, he is now part of the canon. - The assassin quicksaving before taking his shot. This is something we can all agree to have done: to slaughter an innocent NPC for the pure sake of experiencing the satisfaction of watching their rag-doll death physics at work. But looking deeper, the fact that this player quicksaved suggests that the heartbreak of this tale could have been avoided by a mere load of that save file. One could liken it to that of the 'Trolley Problem', if that save file was loaded then Falanu Hlaalu would still have her husband yet we would never experience the compelling narrative fraught with tragedy delivered to us by Young Scrolls - truly a conundrum worth pondering. - "I HAVE NO GREETING". Clever, very clever. This is but one example of proof of how your videos have now managed to reach that same high level of quality your music does with every release. - The grave headstone. Again, further establishment of Young Scroll releases having an impact on the canon that you create within your videos and music. This extra layer of depth only furthers the seamlessness of inseparability of your work and Elder Scrolls canon. - "I look at Arkay and spit in his face". The level of intelligence and genuine understanding of lore that goes into your writing is more than commendable - its the work of the Divines! - "You used to tell me that I broke your law". Again, the establishment of 'STAR' being a popular song amongst the denizens of Cyrodil acts to further is depth. This depth can be realised further upon study of these lines; the concept that it was Falanu Hlaalu's husband that recycled the lyrics from 'STAR' and delivered them to her as a romantic gesture so great that she would reference these lyrics in her own recording creates a level of character development that few would be able to create in just four and a half minutes. - The comparison of the ESO portrayal of Mannimarco and the Oblivion character model made me chortle. It creates a sense of nostalgia at the fun we players had creating our own characters in the past. - The text delivered to the audience. Delivering this part of the story to the audience makes us wail to the Divines, "Why?! Why is such devotion worthy of punishment?!" - "Wait a minute, let me do that one again". I missed this on my first viewing and I'm so glad I caught it. Who knew that a simple editing mistake made all those years ago could create such a feeling of joy for being featured within art as magnificent as the ones Young Scrolls creates. It makes one wonder that this simple mistake was the inspiration for this release... - Breton Boy being featured during the chase sequence. This feature started making me speculate further upon the canon of Young Scrolls. Perhaps Skingrad is becoming the capital of culture within Cyrodil? Two prominent artists have now featured their work within its walls. I'm eagerly awaiting the development this city will go through in the growth of its arts community. - The husband falling over during the chase sequence. My heart stopped at this moment. I don't think it could have taken the possibility of Mrs. Hlaalu's work being in vain if her husband was captured! Alas, my emotions were toyed with as he manages to catch up. - Coming to the end to this tale of heartbreak and tragedy, we, as an audience, can't help but smile at the familiarity our protagonists must feel at being able to dance along the shores of Lake Rumare once more... A truly captivating piece of art. Thank you, Young Scrolls, for the inspiring work you create.

Just to further discuss the lore part i'd like to add upon the idea of Skingrad becoming the capital of culture in Cyrodiil. Seeing as Skingrad is the center of Colovia and that Colovia has somewhat different values to the rest of Cyrodiil, perhaps this would lead to a shift in power in the Empire, wherein perhaps the Empire becomes further decentralized due to the very independent values of Colovia, as Colovian influence spreads and replaces the Heartlanders as the "Cyrodiilic Culture" I dunno, bit random, but i dont care

There is basically this exact story in Skyrim: i can't remember all the details, but i remember that on pe woman was trying to resurrect her husband, that died in battle as an imperial soldier, and she managed to raise the corpses of Fjori and Holgeir to do her bidding while she figures out how to resurrect him

The innocence in love and loss. heart wrenching and so fucking well done. My father got me into ES by giving me oblivion , he is no longer with me but I am lucky in so many ways. I have such a loving girlfriend and this song also makes me think about how much I love her and how I want it to transcend death even tho one day I might have to come to terms with that. Elderscrolls is for life and a place where all my anxieties are gone, and I love this kind of music so so much thank you
