Got to admit that the end boss being 'throw a NEXT at them' is one of the coolest ways to end I can imagine. Congratulations on clearing the game!

It is actually a pretty nice "end" to the series, at least it was for a while.. it definitely felt like a massive challenge trying to overcome that thing :D

​@@ruikiriluckily I know armored core 6 is going to be one heck of a game and they just brought back the two mythic weapons they brought back a new version of the karasw I forgot the name of it but it starts with two v's and it's an electrical charge up burst weapon and I think they brought back the moonlight I don't know it may be a hidden boss that may have go to an AC that we have to find and kill or it could be located in a boss depending on both but this game is going to be fun as hell I can't wait for it to release on the 25th

Even tho its a very roughly patched up husk of a NEXT, its still a Godlike Mecha compared to a Normal. Now imagine a Normal VS MT's.. hell, those BAWS Tetrapods gonna feel like a Final Boss to Normals xD

The final boss, J, is a Cultivater. A clone. Cultivaters are usually clones of famous pilots, and are brainwashed to both keep their skills and keep them on a leash. J is specically a clone of Joshua O'Brien, from Armored Core 4.

Joshua was cloned by the Foundation Man, who is named Isaac. He's from V's era, and encountered Chief and Carol alongside ACV's protag, the Dark Raven. He called them obsolete, and said that humankind deserved to die for what they did to the world.

the funal boss wasnt just white glint, you were also fighting in an arena with the wreck of spirit of motherwill in the background

I noticed xb the whole fight looks like a "remember 4th gen?" ... you got white glint, joshua, spirit of motherwill, the jet that resembles some sort of VOB, the music which has parts of remember from for answer.. im surprised we didnt see a craddle crash mid fight xb

In case you weren't aware, the NEXT's second phase has him emitting a FUCK TON of Kojima particles, which damages you over time. So basically, you had a time limit

​@@AnatoliasAce3341 no like legit kojima particles are corrosive like acid. and thats canonical. like in For answer the reason why the world has been desertified is the kojima particles basically destroy and eat through most things it comes into contact with. the polluted areas in verdict day are basically kojima particle contamination zones.

Are you sure that's possible in AC games in general? Never heard of it, and I don't see how it's possible to avoid ANY damage when there are literally dozens of enemies on stage and any can surround you

the name of that Next is N-WGIX/v, it means Next-White Glint IX/v. u know, IX is 9, and it was the Collard rank of White Glint in ACFA. i don't know what is that /v means but the art book says that N-WGIX/v also means that big jet too, so i think that v is the first spell of VOB. in some mission, u can see Spirit of Motherwill and wrecked Cradle. so many people thinks the world of ACV and ACVD is the future of ACFA, especially the Old king ending. and also, J. in JP dub version, he use same VA in AC4 Joshua O. Brien yeah, Joshua, 'J'oshua. the all of Reaper squadron is the Ai-ed(we can say it 'Mechanized Memories') clone of the Legendary beings on past, we call this 'Phantasma Being', it is the advanced model of 'Designed' and 'Cultivator'. i'm not gonna say the specific things on this two beings because it appears in ACV.

Seeing a NEXT in VD makes you realize how powerful those things were

Congrats man, this final boss is a super tough fight, great to see you manage to pull through, and without UNAC too! :D After playing through this whole game twice (one on PS3 and a second on emulator) to this day I haven't managed to beat this boss on my own. The very first time I succeeded it was after many many tries, and... I actually died during phase 2. I was absolutely flabbergasted when my custom UNAC, 'Larry', just beat that beast on his own and actually finished the game for me. It's still one of my most cherished memories from the entire series. And both Larry and I were piloting tanks, with HEAT Cannons instead of Autocannons, but still going for the biggest damage we could. And to this day, double tanks is the only way I've ever managed to win this. I even S-Ranked it and done both subquests with the power of 4 simultaneous autocannons, all while never being able to win on my own even after nearly 10 years. Kinda sad. ;w; Super happy to see you pull this off though! :3

@@ruikiri Well, he can't really solo it by himself, it took quite a bunch of tries fighting together before his victory - BUT he did absolutely play out of his mind and carried pretty much the entirety of phase 2 on his own, it was so surreal. And it's a UNAC I made 10 years ago, I have no idea how! :O Larry is legit better at the game than I've ever been. It's so incredible going into certain missions, not even moving and watching Larry disappear on the horizon, followed by "SPEED DESTRUCTION" appearing on the bottom right. Not even ACs, not even bosses could withstand his power. One day I'll have to go back to my PS3 save, check how I programmed him and recreate him on emulator - the legend of Larry must carry on! :3 Hope you'll have fun programming your own UNACs by the way! c:

Honestly i think all gens have their goods and bads, but overall i think verdict day might be my favourite game so far, even though it still has things i dont like in it, like the damage types could have been done a bit better, i wish garage upgrades were more impactful for your game somehow, the fact that overboost stops overboosting if you turn to the opposite direction of when you started overboosting (although some might call that "tech"), i wish there was a straight up retry button in the start menu among other small nuisances but overall when it comes to gameplay it felt heavy, grounded, balanced and again, it is probably my favourite game so far :)

N - NEXT - WG - WHITE GLINT IX - 9 (White glint's rank in ACFA) / V - probably the 5th time they repaired this thing (or a reference to this appearing in the 5th gen) it has a core resembling the LAHIRE and arms and legs resembling the 063AN, probably recreated parts using modern day (downgraded) tech

The unacs are very helpful but i always kind of feel like it doesnt count if i dont do it on my own xb you gotta let the boss know you are better than them :D (even if they did kill you like a 1000 times before)

Anyone See the new AC pick on Tweeter? Is that weapon a Energy piledriver?

There's a Hard mode?! Damnit! When I first played this was on the Xbox 360, and just after I got through the last mission my 360 decided to stop cooperating with me. But now you see a bit into how related to AC4 this game kinda goes. In fact, I figure it's likely that the foundation head taunting you is actually CUBE aka Fragile, "Now it is 1 on 1. Test applicability increased! Excellent!". What stands out more to this theory is that he was already a cyborg and an early NEXT adaptation to the Aspina Corporation's integrated AMS designs for Lynx pilots, and they had connections to the original pilot for White Glint, Joshua O'Brien. The player of AC4 becomes the new White Glint in For Answer.

Apparently there is xb miyazaki though the campaign wasnt hard enough already xb there are a lot of things connecting this to the previous gen, but the story doesnt go into a lot of detail, even inside its own game unfortunately... ive also heard that you have to go through some messed uo stuff to become part of the reaper squad and that their leader is a clone of some ac4 guy but i dont see where the game even mentions these things :( do i have to go watch a vatyvidia lore video?

im not an emulation expert xb but if you check the description you can see a link for the armored core discord, and thats about it, you go into 5th gen and download their pack from there, i think i covered that in the first episode of VD actually, thats really all there is to it :)

Good job on clearing verdict day! But damn looking back at this i really didnt like the 5th gen of armored core XD Its too much of just being a bullet sponge and playing rock paper scissors and looking like a doofus to your enemies. This game gave me more trouble than last raven or any of the other gens for that matter

What? An Armored Core final boss having a second stage?! Unheard of! LOLOLOLOL I get they only do it like half the time, but I just say.. Always expect it. I kind of would like to see how you handle the end of Armored Core Nexus now.

I know right xb somebody should lock this man up xb for context i had only beaten , 3, silent line and for answer, and i believe none of those have second phases... but J was Hard... probably the hardest fight in any game so far for me.. until i realized you can kind of cheese the first phase but still, the second phase is tough! :o

junkyard AC, doubt it xb but AC6 mechs are pretty strong... i think the power level in fromsoft games in general has increased even from souls to elden ring, the games become increasingly more anime and the bosses more powerfull god like beings xb i guess its the nature of things.. how do you make something look cooler than the previous? you gotta ramp it up somehow xb

I skiped AC5. I always thought it looked kinda.... bad.

Diffrent strokes for diffrent folks, i guess xb personally looking back to it (in a time where all these AC games are already available to me) i enjoy the fact they are all pretty diffrent from one another... feels like you are going through diffrent eras of this world :D
