Be careful where you donate though, in cases like this I usually try to find them of Facebook and then like Skype them to make sure that you are sending the money to the right person.

The only help they gave was to show how the poor and wretched live and most time, the colonizers are cause of whats.happening in the CONGO. Wode Maya would know how to reach this lady.

Why didnt the BBC set site where one can donate personally to Shaki?? I am sure she would use whatever donation she gets to help herself and the girls.

If anyone finds Shaki's contact info I'd love to Skype and western union her. I don't trust aid organizations. Imagine what more she could do with resources. Her heart is so pure.

You make it sound like they have a choice. Some of these girls were thrown out Some ran away and had no place else to to go. Kids don't usually run unless they are OUT of options.

Those younger children and her own daughter as well will love her forever

I ma 16 year old girl I live with two parents my mom and my dad I never think in my life that people can live life like that in my own Country DRC this really broke my heart I thank God because I have my parents with me. Michael Heery that’s because they never show you the good side. You can’t généralise your opinion based on one video. There are people who live in this country and they are good. I’m not gonna lie but right now, we’ll a long time now Congo has been going through a lot of conflict why? Because of the corrupt people that rule these countries not just Congo but throughout Africa.

I love what she is doing!!! I have sickle cell disease and I've been trying to raise awareness on the mistreatment we face but I can't get a donation to save my life. Honestly it disgusts me that I can't & I'm overlooked.. March 2017 I was found unresponsive and was in a coma for 5 days. 3 weeks later I had 2 seizures and fractured my hip. I just got my right hip replaced Aug 2019. Right now I'm at home in excruciating pain trying to recover from double pneumonia and a sickle cell crisis. Due to this coronavirus situation I can't be put into the hospital. Seeing what she does is an inspiration in a way. No matter what I'm not going to shutup or stop fighting.
