lol damn I was pissed when they cut off the fight and switched the cameras to the pits while watching this live I was like wtf! But thankfully wind tunnel with Dave Despain showed the whole thing later that night.

Actually wearing a helmet into a fight is pretty dumb. Any race fit helmet is pretty snug and the chin guard part basically just acts like a handle for your head for the other person to yank...

Like its stupid to get pissed off when Paul Tracy did something incredibly dumb, all he needed to do was stay on the outside and not rejoin the racing line till further down the straight.

Paul Tracy is known in Brazil as Sr. Apronra-Tudo (Mr. Up to-all)

CART had dissolved by then, this was the Champ Car era owned by Kevin Kalkoven who was a Silicon Valley guru & made this race most probably for his own enjoyment!! Was good while it lasted

Oddly enough I think this was when local hero A. J. Allmendinger (Los Gatos, CA) was having one of his best seasons. I agree about city races digging their claws into the sport - I felt the same way when the Las Vegas GP tainted the 1981 F1 calendar - sure enough came Detroit, Dallas and Phoenix (of all places).

Classic American broadcasting. So Victorian they will pixellate a middle finger even after 11.30pm, but they somehow don't realise that a racing driver on the warpath might say fuck live to air in the mid-afternoon. Then, having broadcast the entire lead up to a fight, complete with commentary from guys who sound like they are salivating in anticipation of a physical encounter, the director cuts away to a pit stop.

Paul gonna throw down in SRX - he has LBS on pretty much every driver in the field.

Since I've missed the Street-fest race (San-Jose) on FOX-Latin channel, I had to check on the champcarfanatics website and learned and slightly figured this out without watching the replay of the track-incident. Poor Tags, he had no cars left for next race? What on EARTH is tracy doing! Tagalani got peppered by this stunt PT made. Tracy will be fined for that stunt, Tags will be fined for swearing. Forsythe should give TAGS a car though...

Why did they cut away from Paul man handling tags

If I were Gerald Forsythe, I'd be sending Tag a chassis as a goodwill gesture. PT screwed up pretty bad, there. I can udnerstand him wanting to get out ahead of Tag, but it was still stupid to actually TRY. Brake fade? More like brain fade.

Laguna Seca will Host Formula 1 and IRL within the next couple of years.

Josh Knight Hi, I’m from 11 years in the future. ChampCar is dead. IRL (now simply called IndyCar) is at Laguna and Long Beach and F1 is trying to add a 4th North American GP.

Tracy fucked up and he knew he fucked up, so it's fine if Tag goes off on him a bit because he knows he deserves it. HOWEVER, after the initial barrage he walked away and then came back a 2nd time to yell at Tracy. He KNOWS what he did already so he'll let ya tear him a new one for a little while, but when you come back for seconds he'll defend himself. You had your chance to scream at him Tag, now be an adult and leave the man alone!

A bad mistake by Tracy, but I hardly see why everyone should hate on him. The guy made a mistake, get over it. Should have checked before he went out, but he fucked up, it's done now. He's still one of the greatest drivers to come out of CART.

They both represent Canada, shame on them!!
