The Fender Player Series Limited Edition Precision Bass (Bass Gear Mag's most-requested review)

Музыка

Dan Veall takes us on a tour of the Fender® Player Series Limited Edition Precision Bass®, from the headstock to the Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder split-coil pickup.
The Fender Player Series Limited Edition Precision Bass is our most requested review so far this year, with countless people asking us, "what bass was that?" when used in other reviews. Here's your answer!
The Bottom Line
Let's take a step back for a moment to appreciate the Player Series Limited Edition Precision Bass. Really, given Fender's thriving heritage and, let's face it, we have probably the most recorded instrument model in history on my lap, it's a definite for your shopping list. It really can do so much. You've seen it contend in metal and rock genres without breaking a sweat, in the hands of Jamerson, Washington, Harris, Deacon and many, many more. It really can do any style and not be type-cast to just one. I could play a rock gig one night and folk the next, with the same bass.
The only question I'd put to you after confirming this bass can certainly deliver the goods, is, how does it stack up in an already oversubscribed market of P-bass clones?
Try it for yourself, it's a modern classic.

This has got to be one of the better ( Runner up for one of the best ) bass instrument reviews because: 1) Instrument specificatons slowly rolled up onto screen while being demo' d for the benefit of the viewer 2) Very nice slow positioning / re-positioning of instrument allowing the viewer to see the specific physical instrument attributes 3) Excellent instrument sonic demstration by having tone "Full-On" and then turning tone "Full-Off" to actually listen and compare instrument tone sprectrum. Finally, the playing styles ( Pick, Slapping, Fingering ) along with the different riff's demo' ing what the bass can deliver was very, very nice. Thx & well done for the solid, concise bass review.
