Single father of 2 here. I've had full custody of both my boys for 5+ years. Their mother was in prison for 3 years and was released in May of 2022. I was hoping she would make efforts to be in our kids lives and she did and it was great to see. They were happy to see her again. That hope was cut short when she overdosed and died in August 2022. Fentanyl was the culprit. RIP Lauren. I will sacrifice all for my kids. There are good fathers out there.

I grew up in a home with an adultering father who ran up credit card bills in my mom's name then moved to Alaska. We ate out of trash cans. No child support for years. It's because of my mom that I made it and am the man I am today. She taught me to sacrifice. Obviously your feelings towards your father are valid, but my life was prepared because because my father taught me how it is to be a man. He’s my best friend now and we can talk about anything. He’s helped me through trauma and we’ve talked about how he raised me and he had regrets. But he wanted me to be prepared for how cruel the world is for men out there.

I grew up in a Fatherless home. My dad was a press photographer and got leukaemia, he passed away when I was 7. I grew up with a gnawing sense of insecurity. I survived Fatherlessness against the odds. True mentors are rare. Thanks Pat, I value this tainment! Good content! I would like to write a book on the subject of Fatherlessness from my first hand experience. I give major credit to my dear mother who raised 2 boys on a teacher's salary.

It's true. My son, who lost his father as an infant, would spend a day fishing with his grandfather and would come back good as gold and behave well at home and school. I asked my dad what he'd say to him, and he said nothing special, they just fished. This rang true b/c Dad was easy going and never raised his voice. My son would say, "Grandad is cool, I want to be like him." Every boy needs a good male role model.

The notion that fathers need to slave away in their houses is bs. The fathers need to make the bangs in the child's life. Strong impressions and strong experiences. This can even be done if the father is once a month present.

My father was barely present due to work demands and then split from my mother when I was 8. My parents were both never around after that. I would not have succeeded in life had it not been for 4 adult men who stepped up at various points to be a father figure to me. A big shout out to all those adult men who are spending time mentoring and teaching struggling boys. You make a huge difference.

In my case it was a teacher who helped me land my first job, my scout leader who taught me responsibility, my band manager who taught me loyalty, and my band teacher who taught me discipline. There a lot of ways adult men can mentor that would not be considered “pedo” lol.

I had to raise my daughter without a father ( he started getting in trouble with the law and I left. He was in and out of jail for over a decade. My parents helped me) no child support. She hates me for having to work. She ran back to him and his family now he just recently got out of jail. I sacrificed a lot for her. You never know what kids will do. Interestingly her dad was raised by his mom and grandmother.

Growing up without a father has broken me. I was prisoned, subject of violence on both sides, diagnosed with mental issues. Stop looking for a father model though, you only had one!

I'm a female and raised by a 2 parent family. I can't imagine not having my dad in the house. My dad was the first man I ever loved. He showed me my worth, he showed me what love was, he showed me what a good man was, he showed me, via my mum, what a relationship looks like, he showed me how I should be treated. He taught me about the male mind, how men think, how dangerous men can be and how to keep myself safe from those men. Both sons and daughters need their dad.

I grew up in a fatherless home and envied friends who had their fathers at home. When they would complain about their fathers being strict by setting curfews, requiring to know where they were going, setting chores, giving discipline, etc., I would tell them how lucky they were. It showed that their fathers cared about their safety, success and wellbeing. Now that we are in our 30's, I hope they are appreciative of their fathers.

Not really. This is just the consequence of liberal policy. They have been pushing feminism so much that governments basically is even encouraging women to divorce as the justice system is heavily anti-men and the government is giving out subsidies for women to divorce... of course they are given fancy names like 'single mother subsidy' to compensate for the loss of income if a woman decides to divorce... that and the fact that their ex basically has to still provide for their living costs.... so yeah this is what happens if you encourage it. The boomers really fucked things up. But like everything in history it's a slow decline till you eventually start to realize where the fuck the good old times have gone and why the new generation are a bunch of mental basket cases. It definitely hits home with this one . As a Single father raising a son after my wife passed away a couple years ago . Every night we are at the gym working out together or riding bikes . He is doing amazing in school . He knows the difference between feels and reals . I teach him how to think and not let emotions control his life . At the same time he works cooks cleans for himself. High standards all the time . I take I very serious raising my son . He likes his steak 🥩 rare the only way it should be .

Too many of us have to fight the court to be in our kids' lives. I've been there myself, and it's amazing how the system tears men. Thanks for standing up for yourself and your kid. It's not easy when everyone is after you. I have a 6 year old daughter. After 3 years of divorce court, I was able to get 50/50 custody. I tried going for the full 100%, but my budget won't allow it. The system is rigged, my friends. Stay strong and inform your male friends so that eventually, we can swing the pendulum back our way.

@lt.2992 I filed for divorce twice. The first time, my lawyer was a POS and dropped the ball on filling the papers and then got sick. . I thought that was a sign for a second chance. However, things didn't work out, there was too many outsides sources (family & friends) feeding her bad information. At the end I filed 6 month later again, myself, without a lawer, thinking I could do it without a lawyer. 2 days before court she lawyered up, and so did I. I wasn't able to see my child, who was 3 yrs old for the next 2 years. I missed fathers day, her 3rd birthday, that really messed with my head. Depression started to kick in. At the end I lost time with my child, almost the house I bought, and put over 150k for remodeling. Now she's getting money from me and her new daddy (the government) the lawyer don't give a fuck about you or your children. The judges don't give a fuck about your children well being (even though I had two female judges) she immediately moved into some strange dude's apt. And when I told the judge I don't even know where My daughter is staying cause she was hiding it from me, the judge said... maybe she's going to marry him. FUCK YOU JUDGES! What if he's a pedo, I have nothing but bad thoughts and the system is only helping women get away with making terrible decisions and hurting the kids future. Most men will die for their children to make sure they have a better future... most women don't see it that way. I have too many friends at the moment going through the same thing. Scary times for men.

This all adds up. I should’ve been locked up as a kid, many times. My mom was always working, and we were raising ourselves. I can’t imagine leaving my little dude, no matter how hard this marriage gets.

I was a fatherless child, growing up without my father really hurt and I felt the effects even though I didn’t know what they were. I made a promise to myself that if and when I have children I’m going to be there and I have kept that promise. Cheers 🍻 to all of the real fathers out there that out their families over everything.

About 41% of couples (one or both) have admitted to committing infidelity. This is for sure a clear cut prophecy coming true. Furthermore there is more to this. The Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said: *“O Muhajirun, (emigrants from Makkah to al-Madinah) you may be afflicted by five things; God forbid that you should live to see them… if fornication should become widespread, you should realise that this has never happened without new diseases befalling the people which their forebears never suffered.”* [Sunan Ibn Majah, Vol. 5, pg. 222-223, Hadith #4019] The key word is “diseases”. How scary is it that STDs such as HIV and AIDS are rampant due to sex outside of marriage. STDs are already rampant because more than half of all people will have an STD/STI at some point in their lifetime. It is so rampant to the point where we have STD clinics and campaigns about safe sex. Such diseases never existed in ancient times and in today’s world it is a normal occurrence. *“There will be an abundance of illegitimate children.”* (Al-Muttaqi Al-Hindi, Muntakhab Kanzul Ummaal) This is a massive prophecy and is happening right here and right now. Damn Pat, bringing me to tears over here. My dad came to the US with nothing, not knowing the language, not knowing anything in life except work hard. He perfected speaking English, and mastered Refrigeration as his skill set. He does amazingly well for himself as an engineer. While he was striving towards his goals, he had 3 kids to raise alongside my mother. Growing up, he wouldn't miss a day when I had a field trip, a little league game, basketball games in high school. He had always pushed me really hard, and the results are interesting. At 26 now, I went through the cycle most people go through with their parents: you idolize as a kid, demonize as a teenager, and then apologize as an adult because you finally have enough know how to understand the lessons that were being taught. I'm now an engineer as well like my father, but I'm going further by taking the teachings you've taught through valuetainment, and applying them in two companies I'm trying to get off the ground. He's proud that I'm moving to take the family torch even further. I wouldn't have achieved what I've achieved, if it wasn't for him being there...

Too many young men and women are pressured into becoming parents by society when they are not ideal to be parents. If we look at it obkecticily the world is very screwed up as we have 100s of millions of highly irresponsible, selfish and even destructive people have children. Ideally people should consider Tubal Ligation when they turn 13 years old and then reverse it only when they feel really ready. At a minimum all girls should be put on daily birth control pills starting at 13 years old.

I have been saying this for quite some time. In todays day and age a father or father figure is more important for children than a mother, because a mother can teach love and empathy. A father on the other hand can teach these things to but on top of that discipline usually also comes from the father.

The reason is simple, the custody of kids are generally given to mothers by default, even when the woman is the one committing adultery and child abuse. The justice system literally does not allow us men to be in the child's life as much as woman. Not to mention we also have to pay alimony to the latter.

I'm from India. Have 3 kids. My husband got transferred to a different state for job. He visits every 2 weeks.Even if he is not physically present, i feel his influence on the kids is far more than me. I cannot imagine separating them from him. I feel woman can nurture and care all they want. But the sons always look at the father as their role model. I'm sure my daughter will look for a man just like her dad when she grows up. That's why choosing the right man to marry is soo important. Ofcourse,Treat a man right and he'll work towards becoming the right guy.

My father is a narcissist. Every moment with him was stressful and as an adult taking calls from him was stressful. There would always be a problem, someone father wanted to attack and bring a lawsuit against. The reasons were always petty. I spent a considerable amount of time as a youngster extremely angry. The time would be spent reading in the public library to find out what was wrong with father and as a distraction. I'd plant fruit and nut trees along the canals and on public land, rather than be violent or commit vandalism, to occupy time. When I left home the time was spent mostly working 14-18 hour days for some 20 years. After that there was no need to work, the properties and land were paid off, investments were there, savings sufficient etc. But keeping working makes life more bearable so it is more like 45 hours a week now and plenty of time is spent tending the gardens and land for a very high degree of self sufficiency. Today, I'd rather be alone or spend limited time with truly loved ones. I hate controlling other people and hate people trying to control me. It is more about contentment rather than being happy, happiness is not really achievable.

Exceptions confirm the rule of course you will meet fathers who have certain anger issues. But the stats don't lie usually fathers do a better job raising children to be disciplined and respectful. You might have missed love in your early days but at least you didn't end up a criminal and it paid off. @@wtfdtreats Mother didn't get to choose in an arranged marriage. Her life has been defined by working extremely long hours and being frugal. Teaching us self discipline involved making us write lines, 4XA4 sides everyday (so presumably the words would be with us when we needed them).

Even through a divorce, I fought tooth and nail to make sure I got 50/50. I was not gonna leave my kids with a single mother full time. The court system is stacked against us men, but it is beatable if you have resources. If you don't have money, then I'm sorry the system will screw you over. Unfortunately, serious changes need to be made to our system, including getting rid of no fault divorce. If you cheat or leave then you should be held accountable for your actions (86% of women initiating divorce). Men should not have to have 50k+ in lawyer fees just to be involved in their kids' lives....

I spent around 25-30k and got my twin boys 25 days a month. Mom can't hold a job nor a place to live so I could have left it 50/50 but my sons were living in a car in a alley when with her. She lives with her parents now so she can claim she not homeless lol but the kids know. The kids always figure it out in the end. If not have the money yes the system RIGGED.

As a middle-aged man, most of the good things that are in me are from my father that I have learnt emulating him. Punctuality, emotional stability, physical exercise, learning to do basic vehicle and household electrical repairs, honor, etc. I am so grateful to him, and will definitely pass these things on to my children.

Yeah, kids just need to learn to code these days.

When I was a kid I took two chocolates from a shop and came to my Father's office. I told him to pay the shopkeeper later. He told me that he will pay if I can add the price of the chocolates. I didn't know how to do decimal addition. He made me return those chocolates. It was so embarrassing. Today I am an Engineer and my knack towards mathematics started from that incident. Discipline has its rewards.

Thank you for video. I lost husband when my child was just 7. And I see HUGE difference when child has both parents . It’s like a house where is child grow , but rood has just one side to protect you. It’s so sad that my child just has me no other relatives who give her love, attention and protect.

My father was mildly strict, He lead by example like cooking, cleaning the house and doing other house chores. We had our disagreements but we solve them right away. I spent a few weeks at my cousins house during the summer time, My uncle was very strict, There was one tv in the house, He made us do chores everyday early in the morning. My uncle would reward us going out fishing, going to the movies and playing video games. I understand now my dad and uncle were the leaders to thier family.

If your father had chosen a good woman - a REAL woman, to have a child with than maybe he shouldn't have had to do all of those things - raising kids cooking and cleaning is for women, and working and setting rules and boundaries are for men buuut if you cannot even set them for yourself how can you ever set them for your child?

If you live in that house, everyone must give contribution in making sure the house is intact. The father give examples to their boys and girls to contribute the housechores. Teach by example is the correct thing to do. The father helping the chores is an example and teach the kids how to respect his wife too.

My father left when i was just 6 months, and it always stuck out to me as a little boy "how can a grown ass man just leave his bloodline like that, i made a promise to myself that ill never leave my offspring no matter how hard this shit gets. My boy is now 6, and plays sports and is number one in his class. needless to say...I'm a proud father.

That’s good for you. But what would you do if the state prevents you to be a father to your kid with. While the mother alienates the children from their father?

I've been a pediatric nurse for 20 years, working all over the country and world. I have watched their capacity to handle difficult times just plummet. The kids without fathers involved are the least capable, most over emotional. I will see the difference between when mom stays the night verses when dad stays the night. Ladies, your kids are playing you.

Running into teenagers from chaotic single mother households is like running into death, they have no discipline or self control in any way. I advice to cross the road and walk on the other side.

It's really sad to see single-parenting becoming a new norm in the US. Having a father seems like a luxury these days.

My father died when I was 3.He was 24 and my mother 24 as well. War in Yugoslavia started right after my dad died.I was lucky that I had so powerful mother,she was a bad ass till this day I never cursed infront of her.I m 36 now and I still have so much respect for her that I can't even light a cigarette infront of her.I look at her with such awe and veneration throughout my life and I always did.She was my father and my mother,she was like general.Wake up at 05:40 go to sleep at 21h.If she sees that my and my brother watch TV she would turn off the electricity in the whole damn house..And now...every day I m getting older and everyday I respect that woman more and more..Especially when I saw this statistics...Good job mom I love you 😍

When you’re young, you idolize your parents. As a teen you villainize your parents. But as an adult, you humanize your parents. I heard this the other day on Valuetainment, and it struck a cord. As we become parents, and learn more about our parent’s upbringing, we can start connecting the dots of their lives and understanding them a little better. I am 48, and notice this phenomenon firsthand as a single man. Very rarely do I find ANY single women at this age without at least one child. In fact, I very rarely find single, childless women AT ALL regardless of age. When I was growing up, we always looked at kids with divorced parents or single mom households as abnormal... We felt bad for those kids but knew it was the exception and not the norm. Not anymore.

Very true. I am one of those 40 something childless women though. I'm glad I didn't have children, and enjoying my life and career, travelling and renovating my own home. However, the older I get, the more invisible I become as I DON'T have children (& certainly choose not to) but society doesn't seem to know where I fit in. This makes me sad, and somewhat of a different worth to society, though I am a tax payer and work in the community.

As a fatherless young man (21) I can tell you it's quiete hard. I was lucky I've never been a drug or alcohol addict, I quit my tobacco addiction about three years ago. Now I am on my way to coming back in accounting school and taking control over my future.

STDs are already rampant because more than half of all people will have an STD/STI at some point in their lifetime. It is so rampant to the point where we have STD clinics and campaigns about safe sex. Amen, EVERY Time I see a father and mother at the store, caring for their children, not screaming at them, I THANK them. AND tell them what a BEAUTIFUL Family they have and it's rare to see such care they have for eachother. AND I tell them I know' it's hard, but that from experience of having 5 kids who RESPECT us, it IS Worth it! That, it will come back at everyone sitting at the Thanksgiving table, and Holiday tables... GOOD Job Mom and Dad!

I wouldn’t be surprised if this also led to the higher divorce rates as well. Even the idea of 9-5 is kinda mythical now as more businesses extend their operating hours. It all adds up.

That’s why the problem dominates in the US which is a capitalist nation. Where I grow up, parents didn’t work round the clock. In other parts of the world people prioritize spending time with their families over work, that’s not the case in the US

love your video! I spoke out every place publicly I could online. My own story surprises some people, a light Bulb went off in my head once I realized the big picture. For the fathers who leave, who chose to not get involved , who can relocated , start new families and move on - I always wonder how they can. I'm a father of an 11 year old daughter that I haven't seen in 2 years. My daughter was planned with my friend and her now wife. I was told they wanted her to have a father because they both had their fathers and are close their fathers. Around the time of birth , both women started keeping me at arms reach. Getting together seemed forced. I asked multiple times for just one day a month that I could visit our daughter and was met with anger and told it was never going to happen. I felt like our daughter was being cheated out of what was hers and shared that with her mothers. When my daughter turned 10 I decided 3s a crowd and backed out of the picture. I no longer return calls or text . I wasn't even notified that she was born for 3 days after she was born. I have been told by everyone that men aren't needed or important and that's exactly how America has the highest fatherless population in the world. I pray that my daughter finds me everyday. The last few times I saw her she showed no interest in me whatsoever. The harder I tried, the more they resisted.

I’m a product of a fatherless home with a single mom. I struggled a lot with so many insecurities, self esteem, and relationship issues plus anger. I felt very loved deprived, and I looked for love in men. I had no proper guidance, and I repeated the same mistake my mom did, it was a very hard situation. My children also suffered a lot. Once I turn towards my spirituality and gained some structured I was able to learn how a family should be and so I got married and life was better. In America there are no set of value system for the family! We don’t teach kids how to be a father or a mother and how to nourish and raise a family. At age 18 I wanted to get married EVERYONE was saying it was wrong. Marriage with proper guidance, from elders, support from peers can help people thrive!! People have to learn respect, how to treat each other with respect and not encourage sex, like it’s a sports game. The schools are teaching about sex not teaching the values of family, of a spouse and of a mom or dad. People don’t know how to love or give love. There is so much superficiality.

My mom was a married single mom. My dad was on drugs and in and out of prison. When he was there he didn’t do much. I feel like I turned out similar to you, so having a father in the home can’t necessarily be the answer. I guess the father or both parents need to be well.

Don't discount the stepfather's either. My father ran out on my mom when she was pregnant with me & my stepfather married her when I was seven. Now I'm a total daddy's girl. That man is everything to me. He taught me how to fish, chop wood & so much more

I feel you, I had a father who didn't teach me anything, was emotionally absent and would beat me very rarely rightfully so, but for the most part he'd just beat me for no reason with no logic, talking logic to him would get a bigger beating. I'm 27 now and obey rules a little bit too much, I'm agreeable asf, basically a robot, if someone hits me I don't get angry, have an extremely dulled emotional response with only anxiety as a driving force.

Thanks to you Patrick l followed your channel now for 7 years .So touching topics.Sir l have my kids in the USA when l came there l found Love ,my Mom my Daddy and my brother passed away so l am alone and moved back to Africa ,when l lived in America never had any bad reputation, never committed any crime ,never had even a Traffic police ticket .But when l applied for a Ds 160 just to Visit my kids in Texas and l had very good relation with them .l have two years attending phone video Visitation every Thursday with my kids .But l am tired about this l am here my kids are there only the Government l guess separating me and them .They denied me Visa meaning my kids are gonna be taken to Foster care or orphanage yet l am alive Oh my God. I Love my kids and they love me. EVEN the CPS ( Child protection services) she always be on my side .These are some causes you see a person get in the country illegal l wanna be with my kids here back in my country or there or just reunite with my kids .So long l have my kids raise them .Whenever they look at me on our video calls they cry .But l see like its unfair. There is a special love and affection when kids are brought up by both parents. I grew up with both parents; my dad was very tough while my mom was soft on us. We didn't like dad because of his straightforward decisions, but Alhamdulillah my siblings and I have come to realize dad had helped us greatly...

I was re watching a show from the mid 2000's and there was a scene where a mother was in the kitchen and broke down telling the husband "my life has to have more meaning than this" while she was preparing food for her kids. My jaw hit the floor. Once we convinced women that working in an office (to make another man rich) was more fulfilling than raising a family we lost everything.

I remember a time when multiple generations lived in the same home and worked together as a unit. It's not one particular thing, it's a series of things. I'm grateful for that time, for that feeling of community, where ppl looked after another person's child regardless of relation, if someone became ill the community rallied around them. I remember seeing families going to church on Sunday, it may be a different church but I remember that. Times have definitely changed.

father figure is so important.. My dad and granpa are very strict. In the past I always envy toward other kids who spoiled by their dad "why I don't got same treatment by my dad" Now the more I got aging and become an adult the more constantly I understand my dad..

Raised by my dad and stepmother who filled the role extremely well. My dad was working a lot to make sure I had opportunities, but when we did spend time together he was packing every bit of knowledge into that time as he could. I'm grateful for my dad. Most of my friends are fatherless and I can see the difference in life is huge. Especially if they don't pull their head out of that rut.

My dad died when I was 6. I did have a step dad who hated me growing up. I never got "fathered" and I think that has negatively impacted me in so many aspects of my life, especially my interactions with men.

About the interactions very likely yes. A year ago I was dating 24yo woman raised without a father, she was one of the worst women I ever met in terms of communication. Despite treating her like a princess she was always in a fight mode. She just didn't know how to behave around man.

My Father grew up the same way, but he never knew his real father. He could NEVER Figure out why his younger bother (1/2 brother) got everything and could do no wrong. Then at 13, that man told him my Grandma was taken advantage by a family member and she got pregnant with him, hence HE was not his father. Then it made sense why he was treated so bad. My father aways respected his stepfather, but even us as grandchildren were never treated like the grandkids of my uncle. It was clear that I was 2nd best, never being asked to go fishing or anything, but my Uncle kids did everything with Grandpa. Then when we'd visit Grandpa and Grandma EVERY WEEK, Even Grandma would STUPIDLY tell us how much fun they had during the week if my uncle's kids were over. I wasn't told of the situation till I was in my mid-teens. Then I understood where I was in the pecking order.

I've had to go to court over 100 times in the last 11 years, i have done nothing wrong. My kids moms addiction is still in control. The system wrecked me took everything from me. Yet i still fight om amd will never stop for my kid, he is amazing!!!

I’m dead serious when I say this. I have no father but my mother also slept around. Even after I was born she had a different guy every weekend. I think she was a sex addict, she didn’t believe in birth control because she felt that real sex comes with risk of pregnancy. My mother got pregnant multiple times and used abortion as birth control. There’s three of us, all with three different fathers and only one of us knows who our father is. I’m the oldest, so while my mother was at sex parties, the club, looking for her next one night stand, I was my brothers mother. So, I never had a mother or a father. My mother was all about getting a load dropped in her. The pain of not having a dad never leaves you. But to know it’s because your mother doesn’t know who he is because she slept with so many different men brings a whole other pain that most ppl will never talk about.

When I looked at the statistics for fatherless boys back in 2009 it shook me to my core and it was at that exact moment I took my life more serious. I didn’t want to be a bum or an embarrassment to myself or my mom who raised me. 14yrs later I have a beautiful family, my own home and my boys will never be without a father. Let’s do what our fathers couldn’t. Let’s be strong minded and raise men. Not boys who end up dead, in jail or drug addicts.

Single mom here. My son dad think its ok not be present and just barely privide financially. He travels the country for work but doesnt think our son really needs a male role model in his life at the age of 4. His father comes from a two parent household. Why doesnt he want to be present and consistent with his son. I told him he can even get him on the weekends if he move to the state we are in. He hasn't even tried to make arrangements to move so he can have time with him..its crazy! When my son was just a baby he didn't even want to be around. He never change his pampers or feed him, but me thinking he would bond with him ..but he never really have. I still give him opportunities to bond with him but he wont budge. I haven't even put him on child support either. Smh idk whats in the water but somthing isn't right.

I grew up with my dad until he passed when I was 14. My friends grew up with their mother. We are vastly different. I've been more successful and disciplined than they are. I am a home owner, and I've been married and raised my son and granddaughter they have not. They pointed that out to me

It's sad what's being done to our family units . It's a war to break families down .
