Special days offer $200, not every day. I’ve tried mornings, then nights and now the promos are mostly at night, I go for the promos to make the money. I live in Virginia, sometimes DD tries to get me to drive to DC and Maryland late at night which I’m not going to do long distances and bad neighborhoods after a certain time. Hey Dashers, door dash let’s customers get away with not tipping or tipping a dollar. The customer think they deserve food delivered to them for free. While your burning your gas and putting wear and tear on your car. There should be a min tip of $5. With in a 7 mile radius and go up from there. It’s like cheap freight. Keep excepting dashes under $7.00 door dash will continue to waist your fuel and time. Every dasher needs to quit excepting non tipping or cheap customers orders. If they can not tip well then they need to get off there lazy ass and pick there own food up. I always tip at least five and if they haft to drive more than 10 miles I either give them a cash tip or tip $10 plus for the convince of getting home delivery. That even goes for grocery delivery

I am 100% behind the no tip no trip method. But, I think it would be fun to see a video from the client's perpective. As a client, place 2 orders at the same time. Two different restaurants, on opposite side of you (to make sure they are not stacked). The first one, leave 5$ tip, the second one make it no tip. Then look at the progress of the order. You would also be surprise that restaurant are also getting into the no tip no trip method. As a employee of a restaurant who have Skip and Doordash, we see the order (including the amount of tip they left), and before accepting the order we set up a time of preparation. The client who tip gets the order complete in 12-14 minutes (pizza), the no tip gets the automatic 55-60 minutes prep time.

@@hutch1693 Also here are some fact of life: 90% of customer who make the effort to put zero tip, have zero intention to tip. The 10% of the customer who are waiting to see if they receive a good service to send a tip, most of them receive a bad service because they did not tip. So the true value of a tip AFTER, (the intention) is worth about 5% of a normal tip. ... in other words, its worthless... saying you will tip after is just like going to a drug dealer that does not know you and asking him to give you 1 grams of cocaine and you will send him 1000$ next week in the mail... Lady, this ain't your waitress in a restaurant. This is a delivery service. The driver is paying for his gas, his car, maintenance, insurance etc. A promise of a tip will never attract the good driver like a actual tip. But what I don't understand is that you will spend 50$ to order food, and will most likely receive it late and cold, when you can spend 55$ to receive the food fast, fresh and hot..... Go figure..... I guess the myth is true, african american really don't tip.

I have a question; apologize if the answer is in a video, have not watched every single one. For a couple of different cases: Food is picked up, and the driver is unable to deliver (can't find the home, etc) and the driver is told to return the food or throw it away. Who pays for that? Does the restaurant pay or does DD pay? Likewise: If an order is sitting in the bag, on the shelf, at the restaurant, and no one picks it up because it's too far, or too little money, etc. Who "eats" the cost of making that meal? Is it the restaurant or DD? thanks

Hi, I’m not sure how many deliveries I’ve done but probably over 500. I have never thrown away someone’s food if the address is incorrect, I attempt to contact the customer and if that fails I wait it out. I am in California and so I get paid around 18/hr whilst I’m on an order. I suppose if they do not respond I’d contact support, in that case they would pay me half the promised amount. I think in a case like this DD would pay the restaurant after charging the customer. If an order sits and is never picked up, from either being an unattractive offer to dashers or no dashers in the area, doordash would refund the customer and pay the restaurant for the food.

I usually do it Friday Saturday Sunday a little bit of breakfast lunch and I stop before dinner. The average order amount is $6.75 but the mile range is about 6 to 7 miles which always gets me out of my zone. So I feel like I’m losing gas because if I take those orders I’m taking longer than I have to drive back just to get another order for the same amount and then going out of the zone again it’s a complete waste. I really don’t know what to do.

I agree. I won't park in a handicapped spot, but there's usually plenty of room in between them to fit my car. It's wasted space, that is only there to accommodate the rare situation where a disabled individual is in a wheelchair and needs to be able to get out. In the time, that I'm parked there, the odds of it mildly inconveniencing someone with a very short wait is probably less than 0.1%. They'll get over it and live.
